How convenient that you posted this just as I had gotten into bed with a cup of tea, snuggly doggy, candles lit, insense burning and ready for my favourite hobby of watching RUclips videos. Cute hanging out!
I love the vibe of your videos, Paige. If you're taking content suggestions, I'd really love to see a tour of all the art you've collected over the years and learn more about how you decide what art to include in your home and where you find local artists. I've just started introducing art to my home and it's hard to know where to start.
That’s not a kettle, it’s a teapot. You’re supposed to steep loose leaf tea in them and then pour through a little strainer into the cup. They don’t go on the stove though.
this is my new favorite way to spend my own nighttime routine, drinking tea with a stranger who lives in my ipad, i love it. but seriously- thank you for the best content and hanging out in the most cozy way
Hi Paige, just wanted to give you a heads up that Better Help is a pretty shady business. I’m a therapist and have heard horror stories about them. Underpaid and overworked staff. Promising 24 hour contact with clients, which is actually extremely unethical. I love your content as always, just wanted to let you know.
There is so much widespread info regarding all the issues with BH. Both for mental health practitioners, but also patients seeking help. I find it really disturbing to see people continue to work with them despite this. I’m not sure if maybe people signed contracts before they were aware and now have to follow through, but I really wish folks did more research on this before accepting a sponsorship from them. Therapy is important, I’m just not sure this is the way to deliver it.
Paige, I have the exact same teapot (British designer Tom Dixon). Usually hot kettle water is poured into the teapot along with the tea and then left to brew a little while as opposed to the teapot getting heated on the stove - it’s far too lovely (& expensive) to risk ruining 😅
I love it to make Ramen too, course it's my lazy girl version of Ramen where I don't poach any eggs or add hand grown/dried/ground green onion powder... I just add old bay and tuna to the lazy version.
lol came immediately to the comments because I thought ….”wait …. you’re putting one lonely tea bag directly into the kettle?” And then I wondered …is it actually a kettle or is it a teapot? Is Paige aware that they are two separate things? I’m so confused 😆 But I also don’t want to be the tea police. If it works for her, it works. It just caused my brain to short circuit for a second there.
This video has been good for me, it’s after 10 o’clock I’m home me and my dog watching this. A huge deer ran into my car tonight Coming home from prayer service and had to be towed. People stopped and were incredibly helpful and the police were incredibly helpful and kind too. They gave me a ride home and now I’m a little wired up and watching this is just perfect for me. Thank you so much.
Dearest Paige: Thanks for the Wassel Wednesday hangout. The stainless steel teapot is more akin to a ceramic teapot for serving than a tea kettle used for heating. When I travel to Ireland, restaurants give you a stainless steel teapot whenever you order tea. The stainless steel holds up to the rigors of restaurant service and washing better than ceramic. A kettle would have a flat bottom which would receive the gas heat more efficiently than the teapot shape, but consider buying an electric tea kettle for more rapid heating. You have such great counter space. I love your bookcase system. So classic and timeless. Consider adding door pulls of your choice to open the cabinets instead of using the cute keys. The bar cart cab needs a little lamp or something. How do you feel about battery operated candles? Motion activated battery operated LEDs might be nice in your cupboards, especially the one with the nice baskets and jewelry tray. Spotlight behind the mirror is very cool, better with plant. Indirect light might be nice in the bedroom too, maybe behind art, especially if you read on your iPad and you don't want to adjust for reflections. Wayfair sells the longer length shower curtains. They also sell non-damaging wallpaper that is great for renters. No-dammage command hooks are a lifesaver for renters too. Can't wait to see how you light and stage your outdoor dining area. And looking forward to your garage conversion. WELL DONE!
On second thought, a big ottoman instead of a coffee table would get your feet up for semi-reclined tv viewing. I like the idea of a chaise lounge that would give reclining back support and be open to the sofa and bar-chair sides. Someone else recommended using the comfy chairs in the new office/ garage conversion. Great idea. Is there flow between the garage and the outdoor dining? I am curious how those spaces fit together. I like a lot of options for working spaces but I am too lazy to move a bunch of stuff very far. Seat comfort, natural light and lamps very important to me. Privacy and views outside hard to balance. Love the architectural details.
paige bby that's a teapot but also, even if it was a kettle you're not supposed to put the teabag IN it. Only boil water in a kettle and then pour over the teabag which you have in your mug. xoxo
the things you learn way too late in age lol. for teapots, can you add the teabag or is it the same deal? I have a caste iron Japanese teapot that just large enough for one person. now, I'm not sure the correct way to use it.
@@lightworks3172 For that I would add 1 or 2 teabags to the teapot, pour boiling water into the teapot (which you have boiled either in an electric kettle or a pot on the stove... never a microwave as it results in uneven temp), and let the tea brew for a few minutes before serving. :)
This was very satisfying. I don't know about other people, but I love seeing inside people's cabinets and closets and hearing their thought process on how they organize their objects. Plus the PJs, tea, ambient lighting, and jazz made it all very hygge. The deadpan deliveries always get me. What's not to love? As for the armchairs, maybe you can find a place for them in your new office space.
Your place is exactly the kind of apartment I liked living in when I was young & single like you. It’s fun to watch you populate it with things you love. I’m low key envious, but also really happy for you. Enjoy these moments!
Please make this into a series! And not just nighttime hangouts - I want slow sunday mornings, rushed workday mornings, lunch, anytime of day, really !
I love that you always show us what the rooms look like at night. We don't ususally get that from interior design content and that make me so fustrated when planning lighting.

Insert a coffee table before removing those great chairs. The coffee table could make everything feel balanced and relaxing for both sides of the room.
Ahah it was nice hanging out! Lets do this again :) Also, well done on getting that amazing cabinet! Thats exactly what home decor// furnishing is about: surrounding yourself with pieces and things that make you happy and say things like ‘’Yeahh i got a cabinet’’
You’re mom is right, you are funny. Shouldn’t be too hard to find a suitable “place holder” coffee table and bed frame until you find permanent ones. Your place is looking great!
a fun idea might be to move your other vases (stored under the bar i believe) into your glass-door kitchen cabinets. this way you’d fill them up a little bit with nice decor and can use the under bar storage for less cute things !
Wow the cabinets look so good! Can you do a full view from the front door? I would love to see how all the furniture play with each other. im currently farmsitting for my grandparents and staying in their old and spooky farmhouse full of weird paintings of birds and this video is exactly what i needed!! xoxo loved hanging
It's always interesting to see what foods people leave on their kitchen countertop. I never thought about leaving lemons/limes out. Have always kept them in the fridge..will need to try. ❤
I made some tea and hung out with you for sure. I think it looks fine that the art above your bar goes over the trim. I’m not so sure about the two couches thing though. I totally relate with wanting to go sober, but not on a date 😂 this definitely felt like hanging out at night and was fun!
I love your bathroom! Honestly, I don’t think it’s a problem your landlord doesn’t let you paint it, I am personally kinda over the whole “moody”, dark painted or wallpapered bathroom walls, it’s been done to death imo. The white tiles, glass shelf with the lovely black ceramic vase, the gorgeous tulips, the black and white chair art, even your tissue holder are giving me eighties vibes in the best possible way! I am on an a massive eighties kick currently, so maybe it’s just me, but the bathroom is dreamy! I would choose a black or black and white eighties inspired graphic patterned shower curtain and voila, the bathroom of my dreams!
I absolutely loveeee the moody wallpapered rooms. It’s been done for centuries. But I do think that lately It’s been an over correction to the hgtv white, gray, and farmhouse trend lol. I also blame social media and Pinterest. Paige’s simply painted home is gorgeous though, and the landlord has great taste in color!
@@meh5069 good point about the causes of the “overcorrection” as you put, had never thought of it that way! Also agree that both the landlord and Paige have impeccable taste!
1. Paige your eyebrows look amazing 2. I love all the updates youve made so far 3. I feel like some large candle holders would be so cute on the sides of your fireplace
Yes. This is good content. It’s so calm and we actually get a chance to hear your thought process, your own questions and conundrums about your design choices and thoughts about what comes next. Which is exactly the way it would be if it were a couple of friends hanging out. I have no doubt you and Kate have these conversations where you chat about all the ways you love your new wall unit and nit pick about the placement of objects and what not. It’s like the anti haul/slow fashion videos over in fashion youtube where you get a chance to appreciate the same approach to clothing which I find so much more relatable and soothing and actually more inspiring then the big “Hey! I just blew thousands of dollars on a million pieces of clothing! Watch me style them for you right now but then I will never wear them or talk about them ever again cause I’m sponsored to death and I have t shirts to move, people!!”. I was really hoping you’d show us what the unit looks like at night, so thank you for that. That was satisfying. Also, I chuckled in appreciation ….. you showed us the inside of your linen closet again and it’s so nicely set up in there. Little displays and what not …. And then I remembered you have your t shirts in your new wall unit. In your living room. Not in the linen closet. Where there is room for t shirts. In your living room. And I nodded in approval. The design high from opening that linen closet and seeing that tableau in there ….yup. Worth. It. It’s totally something I would do, to my husbands utter confusion. Although he doesn’t ask anymore. He just adapts and rolls with it. He’s smart like that 😏
A: a textured fabric. Q: what is your cool vintage sofa screaming for? and the art that breaks the molding line? maybe put it off-center and it won't bother you as much?
LOVE jazz...love the art on the fireplace - fun night, thanks for sharing! I liked that art print that you had on your cabinet before the Frank Lloyd Wright piece. I looked it up to see if I could buy one - it was a woodcut print - so cool. It works with the jazz too. Love the baskets in the closet, and the photo of your parents - and how much love you have for your family. I'd like to see more of your jazzy side in your decor- like that cool tea kettle.
I love your videos! Especially this one! I wish I was actually having tea with you! Tea is my favorite. Loving the house, it's really coming together :)
Louis Armstrong What a Wonderful World album is a whole mood. Also Bea Wains Heart and Soul is treasure to be added to any playlist. Love this content, my husband thinks you're crazy, and that I'm crazy for watching some crazy girl walking around her house. Great content
It does feel like were hanging out. Your place is feeling homey. Looks great. Maybe get a raiser for your bottom shelf kitchen cabinets so you can see your three dishes. Smiles. Thanks for sharing.
Your place is really coming together….and I have to say that I find your style so refreshing and similar to something that I can relate to…really tired of all the repetitive white, grey, neutral interior design trends these day. Stay true to your style.

@@meh5069 good point about the causes of the “overcorrection” as you put, had never thought of it that way! Also agree that both the landlord and Paige have impeccable taste!
Slowly warming up to the jazz music and the grinch impression was my favorite part of this video ✨
This is fun. Just the kind of hangout needed while I tidy up for tomorrows home inspection. I adore your content! ✨️
1. Paige your eyebrows look amazing
2. I love all the updates youve made so far
3. I feel like some large candle holders would be so cute on the sides of your fireplace
Yes, Paige. We do like to hang out. Fun joining you!
He’s smart like that 😏
This was such a cozy video! You put a smile on my face. Cannot wait for the next🌸
Mom’s right. You are funny. And tulips are my favorite flower.
A: a textured fabric. Q: what is your cool vintage sofa screaming for? and the art that breaks the molding line? maybe put it off-center and it won't bother you as much?
Loved hanging out with you, Paige. Nice and cozy place you have.
Hi Paige 👋, you look so happy in your new home, it's lovely. I'm very happy for you.
Watching someone dance to music you can't hear is fun!
Any Paige Wassel content is good content
LOVE jazz...love the art on the fireplace - fun night, thanks for sharing! I liked that art print that you had on your cabinet before the Frank Lloyd Wright piece. I looked it up to see if I could buy one - it was a woodcut print - so cool. It works with the jazz too. Love the baskets in the closet, and the photo of your parents - and how much love you have for your family. I'd like to see more of your jazzy side in your decor- like that cool tea kettle.
The chairs are way more versatile then a second couch and they look big and comfy for Kate to curl up in. Does she like laying down to watch tv?
I’d place a large vase on top of the cabinet….I love how your place is coming together…evolving.
You are funny. I love to watch you after a long work day when a giggle is definitely needed.
Your place is really coming together….and I have to say that I find your style so refreshing and similar to something that I can relate to…really tired of all the repetitive white, grey, neutral interior design trends these day. Stay true to your style.
