This was THE very first video game I ever played. I had gotten stuck at the first elder trying to make the ledge jump to exit, (before you laugh remember I’d never played a game before and I was probably 5) I asked my big brother who in my eyes was way better at games than me for help making the jump. He said, “you’ll never learn how to get over ledges if I always do it for you, figure it out or stop playing” I spent the next embarrassing hour trying to make that stupid jump but I eventually I did it. I cheered for myself in elation and was proud that I could do something on my own that at the time seemed super hard. I continued to play the game and later beat it. It wouldn’t be for several years later that I would realize the importance of what my brother did for me. By making me do it on my own I had to figure out how to make that jump, or give up and quit the game. I learned that I wouldn’t always have help with problems and that I was capable of more if I tried hard enough. One of the most important life lessons I’ve ever learned and it started with a video game. This game truly is special to me, and you better believe that I cried when I accidentally saved over my original first ever saved game file. i was never a graphics snob as a child, but i remember being blown away by these graphics thinking it was next generation stuff
Criminally Underrated
I had the GameCube version and I was my oldest sisters game I loved it so much one of the first video games I’ve played good times 🥰
Somehow lost my game which I cannot understand given how many times I’ve played it and cherish it but for now watching gameplays is my only solace 😓
This made my childhood, playing over and over from the beginning everyday with my cusin cuz we didn’t have memory card
Red's Laboratory be like Half-SpyroLife 😄
Bruh
I used to love this game. man the music is still absolutely great.
My god am I so freaking happy I found your spyro longplays. I'm putting them into my own little longplays playlist!
Nostalgia is real with this one
This is nostalgi! I am so sad that I can't play this anymore, last time was when I were 7 years old and didn't understand what I was supposed to do. Now I know😢 And now I cant play it.. becasue it seems expensive these days beacsue of how old it is and I dont have a ps2 anymore):
I remember that I were so scared of the robot part! Haha! The swamp was my favourite!
I always come back to watch this video whenever I'm feeling down or nostalgic and 2:15:48 never fails to make me laugh. Just the tiny little "AA-" that gets cut off as he hits the ground is just weirdly funny to me
By far my favorite soundtrack of any of the Spyro games
