lots of plot holes, they don't explain why he is dying and power of friendships seriously? i mean it's written but not executed well. it suffers the same problem as original.

Then these are the quotes that Nyx Avatar has: - "The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yes, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed..." (after defeating Nyx with the Fool Arcana) Minato is the bearer of the Fool Arcana and tries to fight against the ultimate fate of the world which is total annihilation, finding that one ray of hope that becomes the Universe Arcana. - "Attaining one's dream requires a stern will and unfailing determination." (switching to Magician Arcana) Junpei, the Magician, is an average Joe, but his determination to prove himself, to always fight for his beliefs, it reached Chidori's heart and made her want to live. - "The silent voice within one's heart whispers the most profound wisdom." (switching to Priestess Arcana) Fuuka as the Priestess, despite being bullied by others, she remained kind and someone that ultimately supported the group as their sensor. - "Celebrate life's grandeur... Its brilliance... its magnificence..." (switching to Empress Arcana) Mitsuru, the Empress, lived a life of luxury and is always at the top of society, but she always fought for the sake of her father, and then she fought for her friends. - "Only courage in the face of doubt can lead one to the answer..." (switching to Emperor Arcana) Akihiko was the Emperor who lost his sister and then his best friend. But despite losing them, he had the courage to move on, and even accept sacrifices that had been made, even when Minato was lost in the end as well. - "It is indeed a precious gift to understand the forces that guide oneself..." (switching to Hierophant Arcana) Shinji is the Hierophant no doubt. He always was overcome with guilt and tried punish himself, but he was always the one that understood others the most and arguably the kindest one, and helped Ken find the will to live on and not feel ready to die either. He even accepted that his death is a necessary. But even though he was dead, he assisted Minato one last time against Nyx. "Alright, let's do this." - "There is both joy and wonder in coming to understand another..." (switching to Lovers Arcana) Yukari fits Lovers well. Despite having her own emotional problems, help Mitsuru go through her grief of losing her father. However, Yukari losing Minato made her go through a period of depression that she had a hard time accepting it, but in the end, she understood the feelings of others and of Minato and decided to live on for their sakes. - "One of life's greatest blessings is the freedom to pursue one's goals." (switching to Chariot Arcana) Aigis is curious on Chariot at first, but it fits. Before she was programmed to fight and destroy Shadows and thus never stopping on that goal. However, she then began to desire to also find her own humanity, and it became her goal, which worked well as she inherited Minato's will and abilities. - "To find the one true path, one must seek guidance amidst uncertainty..." (switching to Justice Arcana) Ken definitely wanted Justice. Losing his mother because of Shinji, he wanted to avenge her and thus tried to kill Shinji. However, he was sometimes doubtful, as when it came to it, Ken couldn't go through with it, but ended up ultimately forgiving Shinji and taking on his will as his own. - "It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path..." (switching to Hermit Arcana) Jin did act as a Hermit. He always acted as if he was the smartest of the group, but even though he hated what happened to him, he perfectly accepted his role and even understood what was happening, but he decided that he would follow Takaya and remained loyal to the end, even killing himself in the process. - "Alongside time exists fate, the bearer of cruelty." (switching to Fortune Arcana) Takaya is both ironically and unironically the Fortune, as he was the cruelest of the bunch but was given the cruelest treatment in life that made him view life as if he was on the edge of death always. He never regretted his actions nor did he intend to be forgiven, and always lived for the moment. - "Only with strength can one endure suffering and torment." (switching to Strength Arcana) Koromaru is definitely the Strength. He lost his master and wanted to continue on living, never forgetting his master but also trying to help his new companions. However, like Shinji, he never forgot how he was not strong enough to protect his master. - "In the face of disaster lies opportunity for renewal." (switching to Hanged Man Arcana) Chidori is truly the Hanged Man. She was in Strega, also following the philosophy of living the moment, and never attaching to others. But Junpei changed all that and she fell in love with him, and ultimately gave up her own life. But in that moment, she also became reborn and found a reason to live once more, and she's with Junpei again. Life truly renewed for her. - "The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yet, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed... Beyond the beaten path lies the absolute end. It matters not who you are... Death awaits you." (switching to Death Arcana) Ryoji is Death incarnate, but also remember that Minato's ultimate fate was Death. Despite being Death, both found the will and love for life and living. They accepted their roles, but they made memories that can never be forgotten.
The worst thing about the persona series, is once you beat it, you'll never get that first time playthough magic for that game again. And man is that some good magic.
@@jkm5856 its not that the other persona games are bad but the history of this game is just, so perfectly executed, when the last battle arrives it hits really hard, the build up, GOD i wish to be the me of 1 month ago
I took 2 weeks off work recently in which I decided to start P3R. It’s my first experience with this entry in the series and I’m very new to it, I’ve only played P5R and if we’re gonna include SMT games I’ve played SMT 3 Nocturne and SMT V. But yes, every time you finish a game it’s never the same again. When Burn my Dread started playing I knew I had once again played through something absolutely special.
You know what's really scary about Nyx? Izanami, Yaldabaoth, even Nyarlathotep are all just enormously powerful creatures born from humanities collective unconscious. Nyx isn't. Nyx is an actual, genuine, physical unknowable godlike eldritch being that is not of this Earth, and her just waking up is a death sentence for all of mankind. Some Lovecraft-tier shit.
I think Erebus is the monster that represent humanity in the situation. Nyx is harmless on its own, but if Erebus and in essence humanity embraces Nyx, that is the way the Fall will happen.
Nyx is a manifested response to man's collective despair. He's not a malevolent being by nature. He is simply here to ease our pain he perceives. I don't think Izunami was a collective shadow. She harnessed the world of shadow to see to her purpose. She was a god whose mission was to see to humanity's protection and desires. Only the mission became complex. Man's desires became varied, complex, and often the source of conflict. Because the duties became conflicting interests, she split herself. The version of herself that saw to fulfilling desires found a loophole by using delusion and deception. Making people believe that they are fulfilled and protecting them from truth. Her aim was to let mankind wallow in blissful ignorance. Again not malevolent. She had a purpose she believed was what mankind collectively sought.
It could be that Nyx isn't so much an Eldritch being that should be feared for it's terrible power, but the compressed concept of Death itself. There is no stopping death, unlike Nyx's Avatar which uses a vessel and that vessel can be destroyed or Erebus which is humanity's collective wish for death, which can be banished for a time. Nyx is untouchable, incomprehensible, unstoppable, silent. The best the main character can do, even with the power of his friends, is seal it away. Even that doesn't truly stop it, because Nyx is death. You can delay death, prevent it for a time, hold the clock in place. But eventually, everyone's time comes. Erebus and the Avatar merely accelerate that time. I think Nyx, like it's presented as, is death itself. Not so much different from being an Eldritch Deity, as the most we understand about death is how people die. But we don't know what comes after or what it feels like, and that in of itself is Eldritch.
Ngl I find it a bit funny you described nyx as some lovecraftian being when that’s what Nyarlathotep literally is. Also in my opinion I think Nyarlathotep is scarier is some aspects, while nyx is inevitable death, like others have said before me nyx really isn’t an antagonistic being by nature, death is death it’s bound to happen to all life no matter what. Nyarlathotep on the other hand is just evil and cruel because his whole existence is because of all humans cruel and evil thoughts and actions. and unlike the the other gods beyond consciousness who wait till humans own actions cause their destruction(besides nyx). Nyarlathotep purposely manipulates humans into causing their destruction and that’s how he won his bet with philemon. Long story short I think a god who is actively trying to destroy humanity is more terrifying than a god who will eventually just end it all instantaneously at some point in time.
38:20 "You were a truly a MOST remarkable guest." While to other MC (P4 & P5), Igor said "You were truly a remarkable guest." I'm in shiver when realized this...
Keep in mind Persona 3 could've been Atlus' final game since they were at the verge of bankruptcy before release, so might as well give the series a proper sendoff by making its protagonist the most OP now, amirite?
@@fidestogratias funny how a game that could've been Atlus' last and tackles the journey towards death would end up saving the studio. I've heard the very first Final Fantasy pretty much did the same for Square Enix.
@@MaxusFox23that is correct. FF 1 was supposingly square's last try with RPG making. Star ocean 3 was also planned to be the end of the series, triace went all out with it. Until a decade later they did 4 and onwards, the newer games can never be on par with the 3rd due to the amount of effort put into it.
@@francescoagnello996 it's shinji. in the japanese dub, kazuya nakai (one piece zoro va and also the va for shinji) has a distinct voice and he was the one speaking on the final line.
I find it funny to think that Shinjiro found a place in the heart of the MC, and now he is part of him, or he will be watching his long journey, something similar like Kasumi in P5R
For those who are wondering what is truly going on in the ending: The main character (or you the player character), he died. This will be explained in the coming DLC of Persona 3, which was the PS2 game of Persona 3: Fe. Basically, he died in the final scene, of when he said his eyes feel heavy and he closes them. The bottom line is that while he died with his precious friends by his side, his friends never got to truly say goodbye to him. They were perplexed as to why he suddenly died and what was the cause. They were also filled with regret that they couldn't help him, couldn't convey to him how much he mattered to them and couldn't even say a final goodbye to him. So they started to search for answers. Their answers led them on a journey to the moon itself and there they saw something. A giant door with a monster behind it, trying to break its way out. In front of the door, is the soul of the main character himself, holding the door together and preventing the monster from coming out. During the final battle with Nyx, when he performed the Great Seal, he used his own soul to seal Nyx, sacrificing himself in order to save the world, his precious friends and all the precious bonds that he had made throughout the game in the form of Social Links. His soul is destined to remain there at the gate for all eternity to hold Nyx back. However, Death comes for all and is inevitable, therefore it is destined that Nyx will eventually break free and bring Death to the world. The party, while saddened for learning the truth, also realised that they are powerless to do anything. The deed had been done. Main character is dead, and he sacrificed himself for the world. The only thing they can do now is to live their lives to the fullest in order to honour his sacrifice. I don't remember what came after this for Aigis, because this game is nearly 20 years old now. I believe she set off on a journey to try to save the soul of the main character. Elizabeth from the Velvet Room also left the Velvet Room in order to find a way to save the soul of the main character.
Ok your right up to the last bit Only Elizabeth went off to save the protagonist soul Aigis meanwhile along with the other members of SEES went to form the shadow operatives a group with in PUBSEC that deals with shadows and other anomalies They would later head to Inaba and meet a certain group of new persona users After that we don’t know besides the remake the last time we’ve seen this group was persona Q2 which just takes place in a pocket dimension outside of the timeline However we do know they are still around through easter eggs in persona 5 and some dialog from Q2
@@dylanm1683 Oh, yea I think you're right. I do remember Aigis becoming the new The Fool Arcana user to replace the main character. This was due to her desire of going on a journey to search for answers. This desire transformed her Arcana to The Fool. The ending, like I said, I forgot because they were not exactly very clear about it and because it was nearly 20 years ago since I last played it. The P3P remake of Persona 3 also didn't touch on the story from Fe, so it didn't manage to refresh my memory. I do remember seeing the post time skip Persona 3 crew in the Persona fighting game and vividly remembering Elizabeth leaving the Velvet Room to save the main character. To be honest Elizabeth was my favourite ship back then because she was the most "unique", interesting and funny girl among the lot back then. When I replayed P3P, that's when it affirmed my choice that she is the best girl for main character. Still is even till now. Out of all the women who loved the Persona 3 main character, she is the only one actively trying to save his soul.
Theres a teory witch is: Jose from P5R his creator is Elizabeth, to find a way humans hearts don't want to die so Nyx can't do annything. I heard that from a Iceberg recall of persona teory
midori, a leaker in the persona community who has had a 100% accuracy track record since showing up like a year and a half ago has said its in development and will release within the 2024-2025 financial window, so april this year - april next year. technically just a rumour, but its like 99.99% true@@325figgy
Feels like even the Atlus team was depressed after they made this game and that's why P4 and especially P5 are way more lighthearted and fun in comparison lol
@@plazik7481 tbf, I heard P3 was their supposed last ditch attempt to cook smth. Their budgets were significantly less for P3 and they had to make a breakthrough with the game.
@xenvj I recall my brother telling me something along those lines when we were playing the remake. Boy did they nail it out of the park with P3, and somehow the Persona games have only gotten better. Every dev should get this pressure lol. I think it was a similar situation with Xenoblade Chronicles after the original Xenosaga trilogy kind of flopped. They too ended up making an awesome franchise altering game

If I remember correctly they made it easier, in fes you have to do specific things and make sure to not miss even just a day, because it would ruin the schedule
I used ken, mitsuru, aigis and I thought Ken was pretty good in this fight. His 2nd theugy that fully heals and revives and adds reflect is super useful. I mean I planned to use yukari but she was level 72 and ken was level 78
In the Japanese version of the PS2 game, Nyx does not have that demonic voice, so in the remake, added to the fact that Ryoji now has more weight, they left his voice more visible.
I’ve known this ending since i was in elementary as I watched my siblings play, then played it for myself and just finished reload last night. Till this day it makes me bawl my eyes out, such a great game. This remake really was good too, these last scenes were perfect.
"You've got blood all over/ Ash all over / But it's okay -- Game's over." This is a HUGE change. The original version of this is "Blood all over/ash all over/ spit it out son - game's over" Implying that this is it, you fought hard but you cannot win this last fight. This is where you have to stop. But this time the lyric is changed: "But it's okay -- game's over" Like, it's such a huge change is the mood of the lyrics. As someone who played the Original P3 and FES to death, this means a ton to the mood of the final battle.
also the fact that the switch from second person to first person also affected the song. original p3 was in second person, for example "*you* got blood all over, ashes all over," and then in reload its "*i* got blood all over, ashes all over." just a neat lil detail
I do wish new nyx was just a little harder, but overall phenomenal final act, the updated tech and graphics give the story a much more powerful feeling
Yeah, especially because how the persona games are structured the final boss is always the final challenge, even after the super boss, of course, not everyone will grind strong personas and lvl 99 to tackle the super boss, but for those who do it's a shame that nyx becomes trivial to fight
They needed to make Reload harder to compensate having full party control. The same thing happened with P3P where giving the player full control of the party makes the game much easier than FES.
Yeah Nyx was pretty easy to fight on Normal difficulty. I still had a bit more than half of my SP remaining by the end of it and only had to use about 2 items.
I feel like it‘s actually very poetic, that Ken delivers the final blow on Nyx with divine retribution, as it actually feels like light piercing the darkness sending it back to the underworld where it came from.
Not only u bruh at first I was happy I got to experience school life again and suddenly everyone forget about everything until the end on the rooftop fk I was so surprised back then I did not realize I have been staring at main menu
I'm so glad Ken and Koromaru are in this fight. In the original P3, there was pretty much no reason to have any team that wasn't some combination of Mitsuru, Akihiko, Aigis, and Yukari. The fact that the others are more worth using now is a HUGE improvement.
Do you or have you ever lived in Japan? Because the original Persona 3 didn’t come out in the US until 2007. Update: I’m sorry for your loss. I should’ve addressed that. I apologize if I came off as insensitive with my previous question. Hope you and your family are doing alright right now.
Today, as of the time of writing, is the day of Makoto Yuki’s death. I know he had to do it for the greater good, but goddamn man, i wish it didnt have to end this way.
Fun fact: you can actually change the battle theme that plays during this fight. Yes. You can overwrite the FINAL BOSS theme. It was legitimately the most jarring thing to face the literal embodiment of death while freaking Reach Out To The Truth plays in the background... What a game.
That's actually really funny. I turned off the dlc music before story and boss fights so I didn't know. Rivers in the dryland would have probably been pretty fitting tho.
43:37 that line hits hard, specially after they spent the entire month pretending everything was gonna be okay just to not crumble into despair and tears
Honestly I prefer the original fight, the stage colours and design made him more menacing, the moon was much closer and didn't look weird like in 4:59, and the voice was less humane, it really felt like you were fighting something truly alien
I think it's just the color bit too bright everything else about the fight is still great, I do like that you can clearly see everything just like in Pedsona 3 movie which is also much brighter than OG NYX fight, the idea that Green dark hours color palette along with full moon makes more sense than being dark Gloomy where you olmost not even seeing the moon
the original was so dark and grim meanwhile it's so green here. that's my big problem with the whole dark hour in the remake. it was green in the original but much moodier and dark because yk...it's supposed to be creepy
At 5:42 "It doesn't matter how many times he changes Arcana... I'll scan him no matter what!" It had me giggled. I thought it would be more dramatic, like "I'll do my utmost best for our victory" XD
@@you-5-iver804 The new one? Wasn't the whole thing with the song in the first place was that people made memes over how it sounds like "bread?" I honestly think either versions fine, but I'm leaning more to this one.
There is one very minor dialogue change that I wish stayed the same. In the Original, rather then saying "May we Meet again someday..." They instead say "We shall meet again some day..." and considering what they are. I like the Originals line better since even with the fall prevented, They will all still one day meet death again, and a adds a Certainty to it.

I’m gonna preface this with the fact that this is a very minor criticism that really doesn’t mean anything at all regarding the quality of the remake, and I’m not one of the people who refuses to accept any change regarding the remake. In fact, I think I might like the new voice cast more than the original cast. Having said that, I feel like the line at 45:28 was better in the original. “We shall meet again someday” is just more impactful considering it’s the manifestation of Death saying it. It’s a guarantee that they will meet Nyx/Ryoji again because Death is inevitable. I only just finished Reload and I noticed that and it kinda bugged me. Once again though, very minor critique but it was on my mind after finishing the game myself.
maaaaaan those graphics are pretty impresive, i hope there are more anime style graphics because i love how this game looks, and how the ones look that have been in xbox, like code vein, scarlet nexus, and the personas, i hope there is more games like those, i still hope for a god eater collection for xbox.
I do wish they kept my favorite line from FES - 'Beyond the beaten path lies the absolute end.' Idk why its just do POWERFUL, right before he shifts to the death arcana
One of the best endings ever so sad but fits the story and theme perfectly only way that made sense for the game. If this doesn’t get you than you not human. It is so powerful the music, the characters everything. It is game making at the best.
This is super obvious but many people don't get it, that if you look at the cost of using the Great Seal (42:33) it is literally all of the character's life points, this makes it obvious that the character died there, when he used all his life force to seal nyx, the events after that were his willpower to have a little more time to spend with his friends.
Has to do with a mere rainbow pin in the game’s opening that doesn’t appear again. Because LGBTQ is very looked down on in Islam. I remember when rainbows were just rainbows.
Banned in digital stores but will be sold physically. Idk why its the case, SEGA games always have these issues with digital stores. My theory is that these games are actually not banned, but rather SEGA the publisher didn't bother to make these available. just released Like a Dragon game not available in digital stores but Geekay sells it
The only gripe i have with this is that nyx got nerfed to hell. I remember being stoked if i could manage to his nyx for 700 with charges, buffs, and debuffs set up for like 3 rounds, but now you can hit him for like 3400 3 turns in a row...
I feel extra lucky. I played p3p on my PSP years ago, but never got around to finishing it. Made it to near the end of January though, but I didn't want to actually finish it. I am so so happy to be able to re play it and actually finish it this time. The final battle is just peak gaming.
I don't think this would have made me cry nearly as much if the Internet hadn't made me realize he died just then from Internet osmosis over the years. It was still touching as heck but knowing he was closing his eyes to drift off to a final slumber... Oof.
Persona 4 was my first Persona game. I never got a chance to play P3 until I played P3P. I immediately bought Reload which beautifully fleshes out everything. An absolutely amazing entry. Looking forward to how Reload deals with The Answer.
I'm personally of the belief that the Phantom Thieves are pivotal to this story going forward. If the key to saving Door-kun from his fate as the Great Seal is to alter humanity's subconscious nihilism and desire to seek death and call out to Erebus, then it would be certainly useful to have people who specialize in altering the cognition of others. And I think the odds are basically zero that the escapades of the thieves, the affair with Shido, and the business with Yaldabaoth escaped the attention of Mitsuru and the Shadow Operatives.
Iirc, each Persona game, or at least 3-Onwards takes place in the same universe, but different timeline. So while the Kirijo Group and Rise would be in P5, the events from P3 and P4 didn’t happen.
Thats not actually true. As the Persona 4 arena games are actually canon. Having the cast of Persona 3 interact with the cast of Persona 4. I dont know about the Persona Q and Q2 games tho. @@aterriblefuze9540
I really like that wherever your hp is at. Low = 1 hit medium = 2 high = 3 really nice detail that the healthier you are your number of attacks increases or decreases.
I was curious how they would do Nyx Avatar's voice, as the game version was one of my favorites back then, but the movie just used Ryoji's voice. Here they seemed to make his voice more noticeable while still keeping that otherworldly effect from the games, so overall super awesome choice.
To those who don’t know, Nyx is the strongest character in persona all the gods you face in the other games are manifestations of the mindscape, or the mental realm which is created by nyx
For those who've never played Persona 3, remember, the arcana is the means by which all is revealed.
what an annoying phrases xD

Every major character and Persona user in P3R are associated with each of the 13 Arcana. Then these are the quotes that Nyx Avatar has:
- "The moment man devoured the fruit of knowledge, he sealed his fate... Entrusting his future to the cards, man clings to a dim hope. Yes, the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed..." (after defeating Nyx with the Fool Arcana)
Minato is the bearer of the Fool Arcana and tries to fight against the ultimate fate of the world which is total annihilation, finding that one ray of hope that becomes the Universe Arcana.
- "Attaining one's dream requires a stern will and unfailing determination." (switching to Magician Arcana)
Junpei, the Magician, is an average Joe, but his determination to prove himself, to always fight for his beliefs, it reached Chidori's heart and made her want to live.
- "The silent voice within one's heart whispers the most profound wisdom." (switching to Priestess Arcana)
Fuuka as the Priestess, despite being bullied by others, she remained kind and someone that ultimately supported the group as their sensor.
- "Celebrate life's grandeur... Its brilliance... its magnificence..." (switching to Empress Arcana)
Mitsuru, the Empress, lived a life of luxury and is always at the top of society, but she always fought for the sake of her father, and then she fought for her friends.
- "Only courage in the face of doubt can lead one to the answer..." (switching to Emperor Arcana)
Akihiko was the Emperor who lost his sister and then his best friend. But despite losing them, he had the courage to move on, and even accept sacrifices that had been made, even when Minato was lost in the end as well.
- "It is indeed a precious gift to understand the forces that guide oneself..." (switching to Hierophant Arcana)
Shinji is the Hierophant no doubt.
"Alright, let's do this."
- "There is both joy and wonder in coming to understand another..." (switching to Lovers Arcana)
Yukari fits Lovers well. Despite having her own emotional problems, help Mitsuru go through her grief of losing her father. However, Yukari losing Minato made her go through a period of depression that she had a hard time accepting it, but in the end, she understood the feelings of others and of Minato and decided to live on for their sakes.
- "One of life's greatest blessings is the freedom to pursue one's goals." (switching to Chariot Arcana)
Aigis is curious on Chariot at first, but it fits. Before she was programmed to fight and destroy Shadows and thus never stopping on that goal. However, she then began to desire to also find her own humanity, and it became her goal, which worked well as she inherited Minato's will and abilities.
- "To find the one true path, one must seek guidance amidst uncertainty..." (switching to Justice Arcana)
Ken definitely wanted Justice. Losing his mother because of Shinji, he wanted to avenge her and thus tried to kill Shinji. However, he was sometimes doubtful, as when it came to it, Ken couldn't go through with it, but ended up ultimately forgiving Shinji and taking on his will as his own.
- "It requires great courage to look at oneself honestly, and forge one's own path..." (switching to Hermit Arcana)
Jin did act as a Hermit. He always acted as if he was the smartest of the group, but even though he hated what happened to him, he perfectly accepted his role and even understood what was happening, but he decided that he would follow Takaya and remained loyal to the end, even killing himself in the process.
- "Alongside time exists fate, the bearer of cruelty." (switching to Fortune Arcana)
Takaya is both ironically and unironically the Fortune, as he was the cruelest of the bunch but was given the cruelest treatment in life that made him view life as if he was on the edge of death always. He never regretted his actions nor did he intend to be forgiven, and always lived for the moment.
- "Only with strength can one endure suffering and torment." (switching to Strength Arcana)
Koromaru is definitely the Strength. He lost his master and wanted to continue on living, never forgetting his master but also trying to help his new companions. However, like Shinji, he never forgot how he was not strong enough to protect his master.
- "In the face of disaster lies opportunity for renewal." (switching to Hanged Man Arcana)
Chidori is truly the Hanged Man.
Death awaits you." (switching to Death Arcana)
Ryoji is Death incarnate, but also remember that Minato's ultimate fate was Death. Despite being Death, both found the will and love for life and living. They accepted their roles, but they made memories that can never be forgotten.
Thanks for explaining all of this. You definitely took a while to type this, so I applaud you. 👏

True enough - but Nyarlathotep is the only being to have actually ever "won" in a Persona game, heh.

Ok your right up to the last bit
Only Elizabeth went off to save the protagonist soul
Aigis meanwhile along with the other members of SEES went to form the shadow operatives a group with in PUBSEC that deals with shadows and other anomalies
They would later head to Inaba and meet a certain group of new persona users
After that we don’t know besides the remake the last time we’ve seen this group was persona Q2 which just takes place in a pocket dimension outside of the timeline
However we do know they are still around through easter eggs in persona 5 and some dialog from Q2

Seeing Akinari again made me cry like a toddler!
I’ve known this ending since i was in elementary as I watched my siblings play, then played it for myself and just finished reload last night. Till this day it makes me bawl my eyes out, such a great game. This remake really was good too, these last scenes were perfect.
"You've got blood all over/ Ash all over / But it's okay -- Game's over."
This is a HUGE change.
I just remember getting so close to beating him in the original just for him to use Night Queen, charm my healers, and restore his health fully

maaaaaan those graphics are pretty impresive, i hope there are more anime style graphics because i love how this game looks, and how the ones look that have been in xbox, like code vein, scarlet nexus, and the personas, i hope there is more games like those, i still hope for a god eater collection for xbox.
Have you considered Zenki Zero? It's pretty good
42:17 Shinjiro talking had me screaming my head off!!
he's helping you
I do wish they kept my favorite line from FES - 'Beyond the beaten path lies the absolute end.' Idk why its just do POWERFUL, right before he shifts to the death arcana
My emotions got all weird seeing the calendar advance to March knowing what's about to happen.
hearing the velvet room music in nyx theme for the first time felt amazing bro
See ya in 2030 when they make P4 Platinum or something.
Persona 4: Reshuffle
Considering this was "reload" because of the gun shaped evokers, persona 4 will most likely be "rewind" because of the TV themes
@jevmenyt3422 I had that thought too. I said Reshuffle considering they invoke their personas with cards.
and then P5: Noble, and then 3 P5:N spinoffs, and *then* if we behave, Atlus might consider starting development on P6.
@@tornadoawe P5 doesn't need a remake it's freaking solid gameplay. P4 needs a complete overhaul like P3 did. remember, these are both PS2 games.
Bruh I cried before and I cried again. I thought I grew up guess I still have a long way to go.
One of the best endings ever so sad but fits the story and theme perfectly only way that made sense for the game. If this doesn’t get you than you not human. It is so powerful the music, the characters everything. It is game making at the best.
It’s happy but yet sad I like it
"I found my path, it's to protect you with my life"
Aigis, I have terrible news.
This is super obvious but many people don't get it, that if you look at the cost of using the Great Seal (42:33) it is literally all of the character's life points, this makes it obvious that the character died there, when he used all his life force to seal nyx, the events after that were his willpower to have a little more time to spend with his friends.
After all those time, it's still the same feeling for this ending and song.
I have no idea why this game got banned in UAE while Persona 3 Portable didn't.
My theory is that these games are actually not banned, but rather SEGA the publisher didn't bother to make these available.
just released Like a Dragon game not available in digital stores but Geekay sells it
@@kison7715 Oh... Ok, that makes sense. Thanks.
@spiral7399not really, the intro cutscene is completely different
@@anawesomeblaze559 what rainbow pin?
God…Minato calling them Ryoji to the very end.
The only gripe i have with this is that nyx got nerfed to hell. I remember being stoked if i could manage to his nyx for 700 with charges, buffs, and debuffs set up for like 3 rounds, but now you can hit him for like 3400 3 turns in a row...
The arcana is the means by which all is revealed... STILL gives me chills.
I haven't felt this sad over a game ending since read dead 2. this is hitting much harder though
"You, who would protect the glimmer of finite future. You have a single year..."
**** you, Atlus. I get it now. 😢
Ah yes, the return of the 1h boss battle, *good grief.*
And that's only *if* you buffed your character
Dude I was fucking dreading this
Huff😢, hes gone the moment his eye close
I woulda cried if they bought back Yumi for memories of you.... but the new version is still pretty good
When i first heard nyx in my playthrough i got chills down my spine but we bodied his first 12 phases then theurgy on the final death arcana
All of your social-links: "You can do it, you helped me, and I know you're strong"
Tanaka: "Ayyo wtf why am I here?"
I still prefer the one scene in the movie where they got overwhelmed by shadows on the roof
I just finished the game
I cry like I did when I first saw the ending in fes version
I feel extra lucky. I played p3p on my PSP years ago, but never got around to finishing it. Made it to near the end of January though, but I didn't want to actually finish it. I am so so happy to be able to re play it and actually finish it this time.
The final battle is just peak gaming.
Played the original way back when.
This brings a tear to my eye.😊
I don't think this would have made me cry nearly as much if the Internet hadn't made me realize he died just then from Internet osmosis over the years. It was still touching as heck but knowing he was closing his eyes to drift off to a final slumber... Oof.
But did you know that the Arcana is the means by which all is revealed?
You don’t have to save the world to find meaning in life. Sometimes, all you need is something simple, like someone to take care of.
Persona 4 was my first Persona game. I never got a chance to play P3 until I played P3P. I immediately bought Reload which beautifully fleshes out everything. An absolutely amazing entry. Looking forward to how Reload deals with The Answer.
Kamiki and Aragaki calling out beyond the grave always gets me man 😢
I'm personally of the belief that the Phantom Thieves are pivotal to this story going forward.
@@aterriblefuze9540 The Arena games say different.
Thats not actually true. As the Persona 4 arena games are actually canon. Having the cast of Persona 3 interact with the cast of Persona 4. I dont know about the Persona Q and Q2 games tho. @@aterriblefuze9540
@@aterriblefuze9540 3,4 and 5 take place in the same universe and in the same timeline
Considering the Arena games directly follow the story of both P3 and P4, you’re wrong
The sense of urgency in 3:39 is very good
14:07 I laughed when Koromaru get charmed by sexy dance lol
I really like that wherever your hp is at. Low = 1 hit medium = 2 high = 3 really nice detail that the healthier you are your number of attacks increases or decreases.
Awesome ending
I was curious how they would do Nyx Avatar's voice, as the game version was one of my favorites back then, but the movie just used Ryoji's voice. Here they seemed to make his voice more noticeable while still keeping that otherworldly effect from the games, so overall super awesome choice.
To those who don’t know, Nyx is the strongest character in persona all the gods you face in the other games are manifestations of the mindscape, or the mental realm which is created by nyx
Nyx be like yeah I did it all and are the reason for everything
And it is the only boss in persona You cant win against, even with friendship powers
Only seal with a cost of your life
Nyx looks great here, while I enjoy the old va the new one is as menacing as it should be. Hoping Nyx's inevitable return is just as satisfying.
Is it just me or did this fight get easier? I remember this fight being 1-2 hours in FES. So it only taking 20 ish minutes is kinda surprising to me.
Having full party control makes this fight significantly easier than FES. I felt the same getting to Nyx on P3P as well.
is the voice before using the great seal Shinjiro? If so thats a nice touch
Yes it is
