Waiting for parts is the " fun" part. I've slowly started my ST install this August, and its done technically, but im doing little " while im there" stuff. Waiting for brake fluid now. I went not cheap tho, with a turbo kit, oh and also swap it in a e91 😊
That’s awesome dude! And yes half the battle is just getting all the parts you need 😂. I’m almost to the point of being able to start putting everything back together on it, like you said though, just waiting on parts 😂
@@Menace-Performance So this weekend I ve struggled with the tune. I dont know if youll be able to do a full tutorial about the options, but im a bit lost, and there's no clear DIY online. I went the cheapest way, which is a JB4 (latest version with connect) and MHD back end flash. One step I was missing, not only you need to flash the DME via MHD with a ST file, but ALSO the JB4 firmware with N54 single turbo. Now a have tons of codes, can't figure out why my twinturbo setting are still in the JB4. However, the engine runs smooth, throttle response is good. Did not drive it yet.
@@098cpt usually when that happens it’s usually a problem with JB4, try to bring it back to stock, clear everything out and then reflash would be my best bet, lmk if you need anything else, you can DM me on IG as well!
@@098cpt also, may I ask why you want to use JB4 instead of just taking it out and using solely MHD and custom flashing through there, in my experience JB4 causes more (unnecessary) problems for a lot of times that are reasons out of your control
I figured out. JB4 firmware need to be for single turbo too. Why using JB4 ? Because it's cheap, I have water meth, no tuner needed, more options and some kind of support. With the BEF map, JB4 is less an issue. I flashed single bank fueling. Part of the issue is the knowledge, if you dont know how to use it or tune it, you'll have issues. Now the car run fine, but it's stuck in the storage. Ill know if I did the right choice in April. i dont say I wont have issues and i will not go on full MHD, but so far I have it sorted.

For this did you have to buy the one with the couplers? The one with the couplers and T bolts is like $75 ish more. if not what did u have to buy
