    Amen brother. I upgraded *ALL* the lights on my Ram 1500 to Morimoto - headlights, fog, nameplate, and tail - and it was the best upgrade ever made. My truck came with crappy halogens from factory.

    Glad to see this vid. I was planning to do the D2S 5.0, but the M LED 2.0 is far superior. Thank you for the good info. On another note, looks like you’ll need to do a headliner repair vid soon.

    I'm almost certainly going to pull the trigger on this upgrade for my Mini H1's 6.0 on my 2010 Fit. I'm glad my car has huge headlights that I won't have to mod at all to do this install. I'm going to package them with the XB fog lights and have the complete set. Just have to wait for the Black Friday sale at The Retrofit Source at the end of November. Good job on the install!

    • @Snicker60515

      And fast forward to today, the MLED 2.0s for me absolutely sucked. I hate LED lighting on my car, and the XB fogs only fit the refreshed Fit Sport and not my 2010. I'm old school with my HIDs, but I don't love the D2S 5.0s either and should have bought the G5-Rs instead. Oh well, live and learn...

      you can use any bi-led project and use a bixenon h4 harness and that way you can connect the high beam on the projector very easy...

    one of the major things that irks the hell out of me with all these install videos in no one seems to cover in depth wiring guide on e46. I have a 2002 e46 great car. the original set up had bi-xenons. but the last owner yoinked up all the wiring with a crappy after market set of h1s. So now Im trying to rewire the whole thing back to stock to use bi-xenons and the profile hi led projector and have no idea what goes where. wires were spliced in here and there other connectors were not used and taped up. Very frustrating when you cant even find wiring diagrams that you dont have to be an electrical engineer to understand.

      @@HansGarage I just did this upgrade and ran into a problem. My stock car has Bosch/AL Bi-Xenons and I'm replacing them for the MLED 2.0's. I contacted the retrofit source, but they haven't replied yet. When I installed mine, the headlights automatically turn on with the ignition turned to position 2. I'm not sure how this is possible as I do not have running lights or automatic headlights - just a simple on/off switch, yet they come on while the switch is still in the off position.
      Do you think I may need to code Xenon's off and re-code the LCM for Halogens instead? I don't see people converting from Halogens to MLED's having this issue. I haven't really seen anyone convert Xenon's to LED's except for you so wondering if you had to re-code the LCM in any way.

    • @HansGarage
      @HansGarage  Год назад +1

      @AnonyPersona oh no... so I had halogens, as stock then installed after market hid projectors, not oem xenon. Unfortunately, you cannot convert from oem xenon to MLED unless you figure out all the wiring individually and have to cut and splice... that's the only way... we normally I would not advise that...

    • @anonypersona3189

      @@HansGarage Shucks, I'll see if I can call them. Wiring seemed simple enough, 12V to LED ballast and 12V to shutter but perhaps I'm wrong. I bought them as the TRS website sells the MLED 2.0 with E46 Bosch/AL specific brackets to install them with, one would reasonably assume that it's a supported mod as TRS is selling them with the supporting accessories.

    • @HansGarage

      @anonypersona3189 2 года назад

      Still, these M LED 2.0's are 30W rated and the stock E46 wiring harness and LCM were designed for 35W load. Sure, you could go 50W since the engineers always build in a "safety" factor (upper threshold being around 55W) but you are almost doubling the designed load on the wiring harness, electronics, and bulb. People change the ballasts to use 50-55W, but do you change the bulb, wiring harness, and LCM too? Bulb sure, but some don't, and no one changes the wiring harness or LCM. It's certainly much, much worse on the electronics on the car. LED's are much more efficient than HID's and only require drivers and not high voltage ignitors/ballasts. So many people think they can just throw on 55W ballasts and bulbs and call it good without understanding what the true repercussions are.

    • @HansGarage
      @HansGarage  3 года назад

      For your 2007 750, as for your low beam set up it will have factory HID system. Normally, we do not recommend to alter your factory HID system but it is possible for you to convert to our aftermarket projectors and HID kits or LED kits by removing all of your components and hardwiring everything back together. This requires you to open up your housing to replace your factory projectors if you prefer. Retrofit kit will have everything you need!

    @McBright 4 года назад +2

    Bro, that's really not that bright. You should've sticked with the v.5s, but get a GOOD HID bulb and GOOD 55w ballast.
    The 55w kit is exactly two times brighter then same spec 35w HID, if you choose the correct pair of bulbs and ballasts. If you happened to use lets say Osram CBIs with 35w kit, going to a 55w Hella + NBL you will get twice the light.
    If you used lets say a random 35w ballast and a no-name or Morimoto bulb you could go even 3 or even 4 times brighter then before with 55w Hella and NBL.
    Get a 55w moded Hella Gen3 and Night Braker Lasers +200 and you will see for yourself.
    Then if you want nice highbeam, go with a proper set of F3 LEDs for high beam section.
    Those that you used are actually dimmer then the stock Halogen's, if you care to measure them with a LUX meter.
