Bright jacket yes, "polite", NO.
That seems to be the most popular thought. Do you wear any high vis type jacket?
@@TyresNTorque Always have done , because theres a better chance of being seen . Yes, the top of my Alpine Stars jacket is high viz and wesr a bright crash helmet. So many on utube in all black attire , god knows why. Theres a bloody good reason why sodiers wear camouflage , so the enemy cant see you.
You have put that in the perfect way! 👌
I have no idea why some riders choose to wear all black. Must be style I guess 🤔 I have bright yellow stripes built into my jacket so I don’t wear a high vis jacket, I also wear a white helmet. I think riding a white bike with gold wheels probably makes me more easily seen too 😊
@@TyresNTorque Just subscribed . Safe riding everyone !.
Thank you so much! Take care 😊
Have a "Polite' jacket myself with blue and silver(reflect) check , no problems at all with it, fact is other vehicles tend to keep further away from your rear end, who cares what they think it works for me better than a 'blank' one . Had the thumbs up from both Dutch and German police after they read the message ,, neither stopped me , this was whilst at services having coffee breaks. Glad you enjoyed our country.
I agree 😊
Where abouts in Scotland are you based? What do you ride? 👊
I'm from Lanarkshire but live in Germany. At the mo' I'm renovating my 31year Tiger for a ca. 5ktour.
Wow that’s a long trip 😳 How far through the Tiger are you? 😊
Not too much to do, small repair on tank, tune the carbs, complete ergonomics setup and then TÜV (mot).
@@Wrong-Way-Round that’s fantastic 😊 What is the German MOT like in comparison to here in the UK? More relaxed? Or harder to pass?
Absolute🔔ends wear “polite” jackets. No need and yes they are try to impersonate a police officer, especially paired with a white helmet.
Do you see many people wearing these @JockBiker?
@@TyresNTorque on occasion. Generally older riders. Many with an IAM sticker on there screen…
I don’t see many people riding with them at all. It certainly does seem to be a sensitive topic with riders.
Do you wear any kind of high viz when riding?
