You are so generous with your time and talent. You are such a lovely, young woman. Thank you so very, very much for all of your thoughtfulness. I am now an old woman, 76, but I hope that I bring joy and love to people-not like the “fairies”. I am very busy on and around the farm this time of year, but have enrolled in several of your workshops-looking forward, with anticipation on having more time to work on them. Aside from looking forward to seeing what your fantastic talent, and imaginative mind have created, i love the lifestyle that you have conjured for yourself through hard work and magic. Yes, faeries in the past were consided in a negative connotation, and feared.Your two women faeries are exquisite. Painting in their eyes truly brought them to life, didn't it?! Your Fairies are perfect. I always loved stories about witches more than any other. Usually, it was about one good witch in the middle of a lot really, really bad once. I can see how this is much fun for you. ❤

@@Merveillesenpapier yes, I do. I live on the west coast of Canada just outside of Vancouver and I paint many images of characters from folk and fairy tales. I recently had an exhibition of my work that focused on Fairytale witches.
So very intriguing and soothing. I love these characters and your attention to detail❣️ Your imitation fabric textiles are wonderfully detailed and the paper drapes so nicely. These characters are delightful to see in different stages of completion. They are always inspiring. 💖👍

For my graphic novels, I do about 400 drawings a year. The panels are on 17x14 paper, so about 6 frames per drawing. After about 10,000 drawings, you get very, very tired of young and beautiful. I'm always delighted to draw an old person or an ethnic person. I like drawing unusual faces, as well. Here, they've started calling the old kind of fair folk, "the fey," I think because of Disney movies. Did you look at Alan Lee's work? His Faeries book is especially full of fun old critters.
yes I can imagine that10000 drawings of beautiful princesses..... that would be my hell old and ugly can be very refreshing and much more interesting ! yes Ive seen his drawings it's very beautiful!

I love all your art. I have a question. You seem to make everything so effortlessly beautiful. Do you ever mess up and have to start over?
Thank you ! sometimes Im not happy with my first result but I rarely have to start over I usually try to improve what I have started and usually it works , once in while if I have a real technical problem I might start over like for a castle but it wouldn't be the case for characters .and most of my art .
