      But seriously, check the bass player of this band (Dominic ‘Forest’), Death/Sadus/Testament (Steve DiGiorgio), Seventh Wonder (Andreas Blomqvist), Obscura (Linus Klausenitzer), and Billy Sheehan - there are indeed a lot of great and innovative bass players out there. They just don’t play in the biggest bands like Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Pantera etc.
      Except for Steve Harris (Iron Maiden) and John Myung (Dream Theater) of course :D

      @@bcbitchkkv Yeah, _that_ is some impressive list of bass players! The question is, _will_ they, if those listed do *not* win some friggin' Patreon Alliance Points popularity voting??? Watched this band perform their newest album Algorhythm in full, plus a few other songs a few months ago and they didn't mess up once that I noticed. It was fucking amazing. Tech death and prog metal are my favorite genres. One of the best tech death bands is Necrophagist (Fermented Offal Discharge solo is amazing). Both Necrophagist and Beyond Creation have vocalists that play guitar, which is one of the craziest things ever to me. Imagine playing these complicated riffs while also doing vocals at the same time!

  • @DethronerX

    That fretless bass though!! Fuck yeah!! Alliance picks are the best! Love this band. I think i already have the video in my favorites playlist! Sick!
    Would you guys please do Portal - Glumurphonel (live 2008). The live video is the point of this reaction.
    By the way, Sori, there are professional vocal coaches, if you're ever interested in learning, because I heard your badass growl, spontaneously in one of the videos and it sounded like you can easily do those vocals, with the professional training. They give you exercises and all, so you don't hurt yourself or do it wrong.

They're all insanely talented musicians who I recommend going to see if you get the chance.

    Outside necrophagist...there is no technical metal that can compare! I would compare necro and beyond technician wise as the same level! On a religious topic...this song is about how religion separates the individual from consequences whether the consequences were bad or good. This is god's work or this is the devil's work! Locked in the abyss of the mind crushing the gates of their mind to me, represents dogma creating conflict in a individual! People have conflicts within themselves because of strict religious doctrine! I feel good religious people catch flak for people who abuse it! I am a Zen Buddhist and instead of praying for forgiveness, I practice mindfulness and control of my emotions and impulsivity! I have regrets, guilt and anxiety but for me these experiences lead me to a path of understanding myself! I wasn't absolved of them, I was forced to confront them and learn from them! I have no stake in the afterlife, just my present now! I believe we are all good and equally evil! Our beliefs coincide because of free will, one belief needs relief from our human nature and the other needs the weight of our human nature to better themselves! "When I look upon seamen, men of science and philosophers, man is the wisest of all beings; when I look upon priests and prophets nothing is as contemptible as man" - Diogenes

    You probably don't remember it but there was a similar solo in the opening minute of the Seventh Wonder song Break the Silence and then another harmonic bass tapping section later on in that song. This is a pretty crazy bass section in this song though. Other songs (that you have reacted to) that had crazy bass work were Devour Me, Colossus by Ne Oblivscaris and Heading for Tomorrow by Gamma Ray . The bass in this one stands out sonically because its fretless.
    Bands like this, Obscura and Quo Vadis are tech death so there is a strong focus on the musicality. Thats not to say the lyrics are crap, cause Quo Vadis in particular has amazing lyrics. But one of the hallmarks of the style is a strong focus on the technical aspects of the music.
    The last few minutes of this reaction were pretty funny considering your pretty uninformed take on the Left Hand Path from last reaction. You might wanna get with the big homie Blake so he can explain how wrong alot of your assumptions and thoughts were.

    • @VinAndSori

      @khellendross3573 4 года назад +1

      @@VinAndSori I mean if you are going to speak about something as if you are informed you should be. I'm glad we can amuse you, but the onus is on you to seek out this information if you want to be informed. Inviting people to jump on does nothing. What if Blake didn't see this video, he's a busy guy and has his own channel? You know damn well that he's one of the villagers most likely to give you a good breakdown on satanism. Its really easy for you to reach out to him. Even Zonia would be able to speak about this stuff. And I know you communicate with her all the time. That invitation of yours was just ass covering. If you really wanna learn, people in the village will be more than happy to teach, that I can promise you.

    • @ZoniaTV
      @ZoniaTV 4 года назад +2

      Meh. I'm no authority on the subject of the LHP. I have a basic lay understanding of it, which is still probably a bit more understanding than what @@VinAndSori have demonstrated, but I would not presume to be able to speak coherently and make cogent arguments on/for the LHP. Blake is the one to talk to, not me.
      I do feel that it is important to at least be modest and open about one's ignorance on a subject as opposed to speaking of it authoritatively without any detailed understanding of the subject. Humility is key, here. If you demonstrate openly that you don't know much about it, but that you see a reason to talk about it, and not be presumptive or make declarations about it in ignorance, people are more likely to listen and to learn from what your perspective and position is.
      That all being said, I suggest a collab video with Blake. Let his and your communities pick a LHP related song for you both to react to simultaneously and see what comes of the ensuing discussion. You'll probably learn a lot.

    On a somewhat similar topic, Sean Reinert from Cynic (and Death) passed away in the last few days. A day before Kobe, I believe.
    So, y'all should do a Cynic song, as well as a song from Death's Human album (which he played drums on).
