Glad to see there’s a new generation of elephant ears on the way!

Me too. I missed them so much. I still miss last year's plants; they were more upright.

You can take the whole plant and rhizomes out shake off dirt and lay them down like under the eves of your house or picnic table for 2 weeks so that the leaves will give some stored energy to the rhizome; after 2 weeks cut the the leaves a couple inches from the base and store all of them in a cardboard box with just enough vermiculite to cover the rhizomes: place in a cooled garage or basement. Plant up in spring after last frost. My other method is just bring the whole plant in my garage away from my grow lights since it likes shade…I overwinter most my annuals so the ones that prefer sun I cut back or cut off the blooms/buds and just water every 3 weeks-I don’t soak, just keep moist. I keep my garage at a steady 50 degrees w/thermostat because I’ve learned that alot of plants don’t like the temperature going up and down. Miss my old greenhouse, so garage has been being used temporarily while having land surveyed, getting permits and the health department came back saying we need to put in a secondary drain field😢 we purchased a kit 3 years ago and it’s still sitting on the tennis court due to the lockdown and the city making you jump through all their hoops and each of these “hoops” they charge crazy amounts of money.
What I wish I would have known prior to ordering a huge double door greenhouse. My old one was small and attached to the house so no permits where required. (Seattle area).
Just thought I would share so others are aware if they are thinking of getting a greenhouse or some tips that may help overwinter your tender annuals. I enjoy your videos! 😊

Thanks for the great tips. It's almost time to decide whether to bring the elephant ears inside or try your method to store the rhizomes.@@tinaknutsen

Can you please make a video about how you clean your chainsaws after you're done with them?
