Hey Arianna! i know that you asked it Hyram to answer and it's not my business and i'm not an expert either but since we are in the same age and have same skin type i just wanted to share with you what worked out for me. Firstly I've been following his channel for like only 1-2 weeks but i've watched a lot of videos of him but haven't seen/found his opinions about benzoyl peroxide and it'd be really good and useful for me too if he sees your message and answers it for both of us. So he said in a few videos that exfoliation (chemical exfoliaton not physical ones such as scrubs and homemade masks etc.) is an important thing to get rid of teen acne and he mostly recommends The Ordinary's %30 AHA one. But i live in Turkey and while the ordinary's products are approximately like 10 dollars when it comes here the taxes,shipping and exchange rate of dollar to Turkish lira it makes that way more expensive for me which i cannot afford. I also tried a lot of other products, lots of creams given by my dermatologist - don't worry i didn't quit treatment until it finished- a pill called Azitro to prevent acne and salyclic acid but it didn't help me enough i mean they all were like only soothing my skin but all my acnes were still there on my forehead. And that made me really tired, trying so many things and care a lot about my skin but getting absolutely nothing as a result.So for the last chance i started to use this %5 Benzoyl Peroxide ,that you can find in pharmacy i guess, as exfoliator for all my those stubborn acnes,closed comedones and clogged pores. it has been almost 1 month since i started and it seems like that's the only and best treatment works out for at least my skin. And for cleaning i use Avene Cleanance Hydra Facial Creme Lavente (it has such a long name, hope i wrote it rightly) and its moisturizer Cleanance Hydra Creme Apaisente. This serie is for blemish-prone skin left dry and irritated by treatments as it said on its box.These are both non-comedogenic products which means they don't include any ingredient that cause your pores getting clogged. And more importantly we're in quarantine right now but when i go out, before then i use Avene's mineral spf 50+ sun screen for combinated skins. So i hope that it would be helpful for you too
