Watched this fight for the first time a few minutes ago. I remember the Sports Illustrated cover that said "ROBBED!'. I agree. From round 6 onward, Whitaker controlled that fight.
So how that a robbery? 😂
No disrespect to the guy who finally got credit for putting a loss on Chavez record, but he should’ve had at least 2 losses by the time he fought that guy . Meldrick Taylor who lost the fight on KO with 2 seconds left, and Sweet P who pretty much dominated and was giving a draw by the judges. Unbelievable!!!
The fix was in
This fight takes away from Chavez greatness. Robbery
Pernell beat his ass that night and I haven't bet on a fight since. Draw my ass! Chavez was never backed up in his career until Sweet Pea outclassed him while staying in the pocket with him.
A draw ??? No way.
This highlights are showing a more polarized view, if you see the complete fight, i might agree that pernell won, but it isnt very clear and i would say draw too
@@DEmili-pu6rz saw the full fight... Pernell was robbed
@@goodroot76 well you dont know too much then
@@DEmili-pu6rz k
@@DEmili-pu6rz most people say Pernell won, even the commentators who were there. Don’t be a fool. You literally just said you might agree that Pernell won, what does that even mean?
They robbed Whittaker so they robbed Castillo 😆
Bro what
@@ifly2323 just typical fanboy deflection
Castillo lost that fight 100%
@@b.romero6846 go kiss ass somewhere else. Chavez lost negro
@@ComaToast1 thet one is absolutely close imo
