- a little fun test to see if one would be a clear winner as a pest control rifle ammo choice was cci sub hp and was shot at 50 and 102 meters . to be fair id call it draw but the 1710 is just a little nicer to shoot
May I ask based on your experience, does the Anschutz 1710 (old 54 action) is worth the extra price compared to the new 1761?
Only if you need a ten round mag .
The stainless Steel barrels seems to be less picky on ammo but with the right batch of match ammo there's next to nothing in it but the 1710 just takes it
Basically shooting to the ammo which being CCI isn't going to say much. Such comparisons require a higher quality ammo., Second, they require the same or very similar scope. I use Eley for Anschutz rifles, because they match each other so well.
Shooting is just fun.
Most hunting ammo is crap iv found especially as both will shoot .2/.3 with match ammo
However had a small sample of rws hp subs to and that does look very promising
Hi , how did you manage to own two 22 lr rifles that are practically the same . I also would like to have an Anshcutz to go with my cz , 452 , but the chances of being given a ticket for another rifle of the same calibre are pretty slim . What would the ‘ Good Reason ‘ be to possess another would be the question ?
I actually have 3 1710 XLR
1710 kelby and 1761. The 1761 is for sale as you see it in the video
All used for different club shoots and vermin control
@@brendonbenson ok , i was told at my club that the firearms dept would just reply that the cz 452 was sufficient for Target / vermin , and that there was no valid requirement for another 22lr
Bench rest prs both worlds apart. Also one could be better suited as trainer to a centre fire if you have one
Do you gent’s have to do extra paperwork an have a tax stamp to own a suppressor over there?
Well we have to have a a firearms certificate which means we need to prove were safe to hold guns also have to prove we have a valid used for each firearm. The firearms licence costs about £62 for every 5 years and provided you have listed all the firearms that you require plus silencers there is no extra cost
22 long rifle silences are cheapest chips £45
@@brendonbenson oh wow.. it cost a pretty penny over here in the USA
My 1710 D KL shoots in the 0.2’s at 50yds with RWS and Eley.
Iv no doubt with good match ammo
Not a good test. The 1710 had an aftermarket barrel and both rifles had suppressors. I would like to see a test of two bone stock rifles.
A common hunting ammo her in UK but definitely not going to see the best out of both
1710 just beats 1710 with match ammo and shoots a winder range of ammo better
That's the barrel it came with from new
Drawn Rabbits, you sad little man
😂
My 17 i use ELEY BLACK cci are crap
R50 and sk long range would shoot the best in both rifles
But this was just to see how they get on with hunting ammo as they both average .5 at 50m. And to be fair most hunting anno is shit
Had some rws sub hp to try yesterday and that under a inch at 100
I'm hoping that's going to be the bullet of choice
Stopped watching the video due to the poor quality - a shame :)
Those are nice but crazy expensive. For an Olympic or pro competitor I could understand, but for the average plinker? Nah. I have a Savage 93 FVSS 22 Mag. Works just as well for less than a 1/3rd of the price.
Not so pricey in the UK as in USA it about the only only thing that is cheaper
And they used used for paid pest control if that counts
@@brendonbenson I'm surprised they're cheaper. I would've guessed the opposite. Anschutz, Volquartsen, and a few others are extremely expensive here.
@@blackhawk2302 just for example
Sk long range £150 for 1000
Tac 22 £110
Rws r50 £235
Ior recon £1900
Kelbly 1710 £ 2000
@@brendonbenson Here, Anschutz cost about $2000 and up
@@blackhawk2302 A 1710 Annie runs $2500.00 in my area? I had one and I dearly loved it. I shot a perfect score with it on a 25 shot competition target. Sadly to say but came close many times. I feel you get what you pay for it.
