I think part of what you are describing is faith - we have no idea what it's going to look like or feel like on the other side. So we can't "pre-empt" the future with our potential feelings or try to project how things will be. We can only have faith that by the time we get there, we will be ready for it.

As you know possibly more than anyone else I tend to be more of the research/ask everyone under the sun their opinions on the matter for reassurance type. But no time like the present and no situation better than this one to get on the trust fall bandwagon lol.

I often wonder how it’s possible that we - and yes, in all modesty I include myself - are so smart in most aspects of life, apart from anything involving food and body weight🙃
I am a neurologist, meaning an expert on brains, but I can’t seem to figure out my own. Everything you say resonates a lot, btw - including the night shift topic. Lots of love ❤️

Oh wow! Then you absolutely serve as the ultimate example of how a very thorough knowledge of the lobes of the brain, cranial nerves, etc doesn't manifest itself in challenging the ED being any easier. I've actually made similar comments about my own intelligence, that it's as though when it comes to food and my body I have a massive blind spot. 😉😂 As always, thank you so much for watching and contributing your own thoughts!

i too have the argument from dawn to dusk in my head!! i feel exactly the same jealous of others in my family and friends and their life i am desperate to eat but fearful of recovery and not being able to eat the same, i too have researched everything and everyday i promise everyday i will eat then comes the weigh day and i decline to keep to the same very low weight!! I want to LET GO and just live hopefully we can do this and find the promise land of cake and candy!! xx

I'm pretty sure there's a board game called Candyland, maybe if we play well more quickly find this place you speak of! 😂 And I hear you, it's so easy to fantasize/procrastinate and SO hard to follow through.
