In the movie they use a studio recorded version of this song with smoother harmonies. In this raw footage, they were either singing live or using a different recording. In this version, though not smoothly harmonized, the female lead's voice is fantastic even with this rough recording.
What I believe happened is they probably recorded several takes because in when you listen to the broadcast version, there’s still the background noise. That tends to mean that it recorded live like Les Miserables did
