They really tore his ass up. He doesn't even look like the Anduin we use to know. The change is palpable and I do hope as you do that they take us on that journey he had take or rather forced himself to take.
He's an Alliance, it doesn't matter. It's not like he's a pivotal character in the story, he's just a crybaby. Have you ever see a Horde faction leader cry? Nope. Hasn't happened.
Well the important thing to note about Blizzcon is its post Blizzard drama, post shadowlands, & post Covid. So it makes sense that they took a big hit to people wanting to spend thousands of dollars to show up. Hotel, Ticket, plane ticket, food, etc in California.
i heard him, i just dont think that he meant it in the way you think. i mean let's be real here, Dragonflight's patch cadence has been at a neckbreaking pace, 3-5 weeks faster than even Legion. i honestly dont see it getting any faster without being rushed and buggier than a Bethesda game.@@MrKanooe
The game is titled The War Within. The obvious is stated in the title, but can also be an allusion to the struggle Anduin is suffering after everything that happened with The Jailor.
I imagine I'd be a little fucked up if I was conscious but not in control while my body massacred random people in Ardenweald and then famed heroes at the top of Oribos, my dad died to the fel which means he probably doesn't have a ghost, and I also kind of let Teldrassil burn. I know it's all a bunch of nameless NPCs that died under Anduin's belt, but that doesn't take away the fact that in-universe, those were random people that he butchered. On top of that, when he's not on the job, he has to hang out in the Maw and listen to a bunch of people's souls he can't help get tortured or unraveled. I don't get all the people that think Anduin is a bitch for reacting like any human would in his situation. On top of all of that, he felt he enjoyed that butchering at certain moments, which I'm sure fucks with him a great deal. I hope his story has some depth. Doubt anybody is expecting KoTOR 2 Kreia dialogue level of depth and reveal, but it'd be cool to see what he's been doing all this time, and how he's healing.
Sword gets stabbed into planet, 2 expansions later the planet decided it waited long enough. "Alright...are ya'll coming...or you just gonna decorate with that blade?"
a lore guy i watch on youtube told me something that blew my mind. this cinematic, it wasnt about Anduin and Thrall, so much as it's Anduin being us, we hear the call, we see the visions, but we do not answer. and Thrall is Metzen, coming to tell us that he wants us to come back, and that he's sorry that he failed us. this Saga is not only a gamble to get the players coming back, it's the WoW Team and Metzen seeking redemption, while trying to set things right.
On the topic of why dont they make a movie based on this technology, these 4-8 minute trailers take their studio nearly 2 years to complete. They're likely starting on Midnight storyboarding right now and in a year from now they'll start throwing ideas around as to what Titan will start with. I personally think that Last Titan will be released late 2028 so if they have really grandiose plans then there isn't that much time before they need to have it started.
Scarlet Crusade background threads and anti-anduin propaganda notes leading into the Light fanatics we’re going to get in the Arathi will hopefully give us part of that emotional journey we need.
With Metzen back, this feels right, the fact he's now running it and making the creative decisions means we will see better stuff. I was so heartened to see him and hear his plans. It was a coming home, for sure.
Yeah less people attended this blizzcon, but if you watch the videos of the opening ceremony, that place was PACKED. Didn’t need to be sold out, plus it’s the first one back after several years. It looked hype as fuck watching the livestream
I am not sure what sources told you that the Blizcon was bad but you should have heard the entire opening ceremony and WoW panel. I have never heard the crowd so loud and rowdy before. also it was full in that hall, completely lol.
I'm with ya, man. Every expansion since coming back in Legion, I play until the .2 patch. At that point it's 90% of just grinding to gear up for the big raid. I don't raid. I am hoping the new delve system will actually keep me playing past the first release.
Anduin is definitely a broken man after the Shadowlands events, as you can see the glow on the sword is gone. I've read on other threads that at some point Anduin will be able to separate Shalamayne like Varian did and will have both Light and Void on his side. Also would love to see Arthas come back in some capacity, not as Lich King, to give him redemption because honestly that Shadowlands ending was shit and fucked up lots of characters.
Happy to hear from an actual player with good takes on the game and Blizzard as a whole. Even though you're missing some context and so on. A "real real" reaction for players, and not just doing the rounds of youtube reactions, so to speak.
Anduin is my favorite, this is hard to watch. There's a lot there, Saurfang's quote about "what I saw, what I did" and Anduin's standing with him in the Mak'gora. And my brother has PTSD, I saw that in Anduin's eyes, whomever did that artwork got it down in spades. I'll be following his story very closely. Please go back and watch the entire opening thing, with Metzen's back, there's a LOT coming and we're getting some great things past where things are going in the story. Play style, etc. No spoilers for you, but the whole Metzen's driving, it's a great. I think the culture has changed, the people involved are gone, they have Metzen back in charge, and things are looking up greatly..
Shadowlands screwed up a lot of things and a lot of lore. Don't even get me started on Arthas. I think Blizzard realized how much they messed up with Shadowlands. As far as I'm concerned, Legion was Blizzard's last good WoW expansion. BfA was nothing but nostalgia for Legion. Shadowlands was a lot of regret. And, Dragonflight is just ok. The Worldsoul trilogy should be Blizzard's redemption arc to their fans. I want to start feeling feels about WoW again and Worldsoul seems to be it.
They really tore his ass up. He doesn't even look like the Anduin we use to know. The change is palpable and I do hope as you do that they take us on that journey he had take or rather forced himself to take.
4 years timeskio does that xD
and it's not like we healed him to turn him back we kind of beat his ass. All those scars are probably from his fight with us
I fear this cinematic is Anduin turning back to normal and he's just gonna be a generic quest giver like they did with Bolvar
He's an Alliance, it doesn't matter.
It's not like he's a pivotal character in the story, he's just a crybaby.
Have you ever see a Horde faction leader cry? Nope. Hasn't happened.
It is call "War Within", it has a double meaning: not just Azeroth and the heart, but Andiun and Alleria, both featured in cinematics.

They announced the next 3 expansions; This one, Midnight, and The Last Titan! They also said they would release them quite a bit faster from now on.
didnt hear anything about them coming out faster.
Listen to metzen speech again, then.@@UltimateGamerCC

The wording makes me think they will skip the Fated season in this worldsoul saga, we know one is coming in DF already.@@UltimateGamerCC
yeah, i think that is a given.@@MrKanooe
The Starcraft cinematics from 1998 was already good in Blizzard. Blizzard have been on top of their CGI game since the 90,s

Subbed just for the intro dialogue lol. I related to that so much.

No, that cinematic is only about Anduin, thrall only 😅

Thanks for the wonderful Reaction....please give us more.....👍👍👍👍👍

"The government fucking us over." You just earned a sub, Good Sir!

I've never felt a greater connection with someone than when you said you keep quitting but still keep buying every gd expansion

Look at those graphics!!
I'd pay good money for a Arthas movie that's all CGI like this
Indeed, if they only put a little effort into it they could make one beautiful movie!!@@BlerdcaliburGaming
Fully agree with everything you said.
Blizzcon was actually a sell out dude as many bought tickets in the last 48 hours... and Blizzcon was 10/10 for us Wow players.
Maybe the best video intro I've ever seen rofl
what in the popeye pirate going on here
true faxxx.
Ptsd is real if they play it well okay. If not I am done
