Same Yanny, horde player all my life, got chills when she yelled "For the Horde!!". Ironic now I came back to wow and I play alliance as void elf hahaha, now I like both factions for some reason :))) Horde players don't hate me pls, horde still has my heart deep down.
Other comments have mentioned it, but tied to this trailer are some seriously impressive story cinematics. The chronological order I believe is: - Old Soldier - This Trailer - Lost Honor - Safe Haven - Reckoning - Shadowlands intro cinematic.
I love to watch crowd reactions for those trailer, because most of them were shown at Blizzcon for the first time. And man, the crowd went NUTS on this one^^ I have been playing WoW since 2006 and those cinematics make me so emotional because i love the game, the world and the characters so much. I have tears in my eyes every single time i watch them
Ooooo must have been so cool to see this live at blizzcon they hype was probably insane!! Yeah these trailers really make you feel for these characters and their journeys. Awesome to hear it makes you tear up from a 3D animated piece of content. Really shows they are doing something right
I was in that crowd and absolutely losing my shit. I was gripping my friend so hard he bruised. Anduin was my favorite character so I just lost my mind shrieking and jumping LMAO
I missed Warlords of Draenor and Legion, mostly because real life was too busy for gaming, but their trailers *very nearly* convinced me to come back. This was the one that managed it. It felt like peak Warcraft. It felt like it was resolving some dangling plots (the humans wanting to retake Lordaeron), while also having the Alliance actually go hard against the Horde and laying siege to one of their cities (in response to the razing of Teldrassil). It was nice to see the Alliance delivering repercussions for once.
The woman is Sylvanas, she's a banshee and the head of the Horde faction at this point. The orc that gets the arrows is Varak Saurfang, the big Tauren is Baine Bloodhoof. On the Alliance side, the wolf is King Genn Graymane. and King Anduin is the young king. You might remember his father, Varian Wrynn. Anduin was supposed to be a Paladin but his heart and acts is really a Priest. Yes, I have played since 2008, main a gnome mage named Rubyrose. And, I play for the lore, not so much for the action and such. It's kinda weird that a grandmother of 9 can be so hyped for a game.
Battle for Azeroth was peak cinematic for Blizzard. I'm fond of Legions in-game cinematics, but BFA was amazing. They've made good ones, but the full HD cinematics like Reckoning are unmatched
The final clash too, calling right back to first game's (Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, near enough 25 years prior) box art . Orc on left, human on right, in conflict. BfA's own box art matched O&H's even more closely, to underline things.

It has a very different kind of style, more a series of comic book stills, but it is beautifully done and really key to the unfolding story.
Sylvanas is just a character that can make things. This is probably one if not the best trailer blizzard has done. WoW was at a very low point this brought back a lot of players just by the trailer it self. The rest of the Battle of Azeroth movies in between the patches just make it even better.

I liked the video but this really bugged me; you calling this an “old school WoW trailer” lol. This trailer is not old at all, it’s from only a couple expansions ago. When do you think it came out? Anyway I’m just being pedantic, good video brother
Dang, I'm too into WoW. LOL That distracted me from what I was doing (I run RUclips to the side), and got me emotionally worked up. Like the plots or not, that xpac was a constant rollercoaster ride of gains and losses, utter waste of tens of thousands of lives, all enhanced by a great set of cinematics and trailers all through the xpac. Sadly, it was then followed by an xpac so crummy that it made Cataclysm look awesome.
