It is a monumental amount of work. This would be like the amount of work it takes to animate and polish one of the Avatar films. It's going to take so much time to cook. Apparently the minutes-long cinematics they do take 9 months of work last time they talked about it. Maybe with today's tech it's getting easier though?
The movie was a flop in the US and Europe, they only made a profit because of the money it made in China etc. Now if I'm not mistaken, WOW isn't played in China now, unless they have finally come to an agreement with the authorities. But yes I would love a Warcraft 2 movie.
He did get his powers back, he "lost" them during WoD when he used the elements to defeat Garrosh, but during the Sylvanas encounter in Sanctum of Domination in Shadowlands he summoned earth bridges and stuff so looks like shaman Thrall is back!

I think they are planning on ending WoW 1. Though the servers will probably stay up for years still after the finale. But I think they plan to start up an actual World of Warcraft 2 eventually. Maybe with Warcraft 4 inbetween

Blizzard needs to team up with Apple and create Warcraft Series with this CGI animations. The Live Action Warcraft wasn’t really that good in my opinion.
