I love the personalities and skills of danny and Orson, but Lin's IF design is pretty awesome
I don't care much for teenagers becoming the "new this" and "new that" superhero. Mainly due to their inexperience as that hero. They usually have to grow on me, and prove that they're good enough.
The worst part of the teenage successors is having to go through their "I need no help" phase. That is one of the aspects I disliked, Lin Lie, acting like a brat, why not ask the help of a former Iron Fist?
I really like this mantle takeover! Sometimes a passing of the torch can be pretty corny but I feel like sword master as the new iron fist is here to stay, like miles Morales as spider man or sam Wilson as captain america. I love this thank you marvel
Great start and very strong sense of stakes, the new Fist relatable yet intriguing, with internal and external conflicts that mesh well

Danny Rand in his 1970s Marvel Comic debuts originally looked similar to a blonde and clean-shaven Chuck Norris when unmasked.
I love this🤩. This made lin lie more baddass, imagine if he still have his fuxi blade....thats gonna be one hell of a street level hero
Hopefully we get an *Okoye* guest appearance in a future issue and see how she's dealing with the responsibility after the events of *Heart Of The Dragon* or if she even cares at all at what responsibilities she has undertaken. Short of it is I think this series is going to squash that whole series and return her chi powers back to *Rand* where *Lin Lie* and *Rand* can have an *Orson & Danny* passing the torch moment.
Swordmaster is definitely an underused character hope he gets the sword back. Maybe he will turn to out to be the unbreakable sword and reforge it with the iron fist

I'm at that stage of "I dunno".
To be honest, I'm not sure what the writers are trying to do here.
It's something the comic publishers been doing the last years. Switching out established characters for new ones. Usually another gender and/or ethnicity. Usually don't stick either. Only character I can think of where it became permanent is Fury, head of Shield.
Instead of creating something new they want to destroy icons

Wait, when did Danny give up his powers? Aside from Devil's Reign, I pretty much stopped reading anything non X-Men, Dr Strange, Spider-Man, Thor, Marvel cosmic, or Fantastic 4 related.
Also, I'm legit surprised they choose Lin. I actually did pick up the comics related to him, only becuase I liked White Fox's design and a Dr Strange tie-in/cameo😂.

If Danny Rand no longer has powers. Why didn't they allow him to join Daredevil and Elektra's new organization"The Fist" as all members of that organization gain all around enhanced physical abilities.

it's pronounced Lin Lyeh btw. and Fuxi is pronounced approximately 'fu-hsee'
the i in chiyou is like a schwa. and you is pronounced like yow
also he's been with the Agents of Atlas so not really just with white fox. he trained under Shang-Chi and Ji Shuangshuang (the carrier of another divine weapon) before so
I googled how to pronounce each of those words and that’s how it said they were pronounced. Except for chiyou I said that wrong
And yes agents of Atlantis but most recently it was white fox where this story comes from and how it got to this point

I stopped reading Danny Rand’s Iron Fist comics after 2018, but this new Iron Fist series is brilliant to start reading Iron Fist comics again.
Besides this new take gives better concept for new generation readers to having an Asian character take the mantle as Iron Fist.

I Like danny rand, but He had to pass the mantle of Iron fist YEARS Ago, he is just not Interesting, Even the Other Iron fists in his comics are much more interesting.

@@dmon5229 MOst of the Iron Fist have been Asian. Please read the history of Iron Fist. Danny Rand is not a white savior character. He grew up in Kun Lun and earned the the Iron Fist. Swordmaster needs to get the sword back together to fulfill his duty.

Legacy characters I wouldn’t call woke. I’d say it’s a way to pass the torch and let way for new and different stories. Lin Lee totally deserves this chance to have the mantle even if it’s for a short while
You act as if they burned all the Danny Rand Iron Fist comics in a pit? They’re still there for you and future readers, maybe just maybe Marvel found it advantageous to pivot the Iron Fist brand away from its “White Savior” narrative roots & take a less culturally daft approach :/
@@comicbreakdown You mean like when Okoye took the power of the Iron Fist and stole the spotlight for the mini series that led to this? This move and how it was executed still doesn't make it any less woke no matter how you fluff it. The entire Iron Fist lore was already designed to be diverse with a cast of characters that already had and have the potential to be the next Iron Fist with Kun Lun being portrayed as have local and foreign-born population from the beginning. I don't understand the logic of the SJW crowd trying to fix something that was never broken. The problem with Iron Fist was that the storyline was constantly overshadowed by the cosmic-problem heroes like the Avengers, FF4 & X-Men. There are a lot more ways to pass the torch in a respectful way than what Heart of the Dragon did and all it did was leave a black mark that Lin Lee's run is gonna be near forgotten about in 20 years time as a woke trend.
