I've been waiting for this! Been surrounded in snow since Oct 15th and just started grooming 4' wide trails in my hood this week. It's gonna take the right high pressure before the snow sets up right, but this keeps the dream alive!
Get it Derek!
Yes dude! Your doing it right, gotta let the trails set up hard and hit it after a nice cold night!

WATERPROOF YOUR RIDE YA'LL! SEND IT ALL YEAR ROUND
🤘🏼
Hey, i know the video is a bit older but did you guys both waterproof your boards? Just curious if they are holding up (whether you did or didn't)
@@timminsarmwrestlingconnect we did and yeah they’re good!
How many studs is Brooks have in that tire?
50 in this one!
How did you get the dragon board toe hooks to work on the front footpad?
Special little plastic cut out that keeps the pressure on the edges where the sensor doesn’t hit and screw into the sides of the front pad!
How did the GT hold up to the cold🤞
curious about this too!
Same question
Honestly was surprised!
We made sure to keep it on the whole time and we were exposed to the cold for over a hour and no fails! Footpad engaged well, make sure to watch for ice build up on front pad and heel lift to disengage!
It did better than I thought it would! Ice build up made my heel sensor always engaged so I had to “toe lift” to stop… also it ghosted down the cliff towards the river because of it too 😂 but battery life was better than I could have hoped 😁
@@JohnNuer Stoked to hear this! Sick mustache rails too!
Does it feels like snowboarding? Seem the snow meal might seep into the Onewheel.
Gotta badger it!(waterproof)
Great riding fellas! I gotta try this!
Thank you! I highly recommend!
Love it! Fun fun fun! It's not snowed in uk proply in years, no global warming here. But when I did shred snow it was epic fun. OW is a capable beast for carving hills with the sledgers and boarders. And it was clearly safer to onewheel than walk or drive a lot of the time, funny just floating on by all the carnage to the shops in my slippers for 10 ciggies. Of course there is snow and there is snow, like every terrain. You can add insulation or silicon heaters above and below the battery pack to mitigate the loss of performance and range somewhat, our Canadian friends gave me that tip.
Jan! Thank you so much for the Battery tip! Last year when we did our range test in 17 degree weather it was a pretty drastic loss in range. Probably around 30%. Being able to gain that back would be amazing. Appreciate you Jan!
@@carvecreative pleasure, we appreciate you too. Onewheel fam told me, I pass it on with love. It's a cycle. #community
Sweet! Recommendations for tire studs?
Brooks uses and recommends igrip ss-06 studs!
Usually stick to my fat bike in winter but I might have to give this a shot because this looks fun.
You’ve got to try it, so fun! And I need to give fat biking a try!
Which model is this?
XR
Will be trying my GT with the Enduro on Lightning Rails rocking overland lifters here soon. First winter with the OW for me here in NE South Dakota. Glad to see the OW can ride for a bit still when its below 20 (most of the winter here).
Would love to hear how it goes for you!?
Great vid! Which Duluth trail is this?
Lester!
This is Lester river trail!
Thanks for watching!
@@carvecreative Thank you! I will, in fact, send it!
I just think it's cool to see my bumpers in these videos. Sweet edit, Brooks is probably faster on snow than I am on dirt
He’s really putting those bumpers through the ringer🤣
how many miles?
The battery will loose range when winter riding for sure
Looking forward to do some snowriding of my own. Ordered studs and a new treaded tire. Just waiting for the tire to arrive. . . . . . . --O--
That’s awesome! Let us know what you think! We’ve got plenty more of these snow shred videos coming!
Was the gt waterproofed at all?
I sure hope so..
Snow riding is some serious fun! I have to say studding my tire is not a necessity for enjoyable snow ripping. Rather I wait til the conditions are right, not too icy. I do prefer gloss bangs for snow riding though cause they glide so effortlessly
You gotta show me some good snow trails!-Kyle
Your right, not necessary to stud! Best thing to do is just get outside and have fun doing it!
Nice riding, guys! Lester looks awesome for the wheels.
Thanks man! You got that right, Lester is always a good time!
Dudeeee, what where those things on the GT footpads that lock in your feet? Do you have a link where I can buy some for my xr?
Check out dragon boards toe hooks!
When the GoPro slaps the rock! haha
😂
Were both boards badgered? More so the GT ;)
Highly recommend! Yes!
Greetings from Puerto Rico! What’s all that white stuff?
😂 Wana trade places? I’ll take your sandy beaches!
Thank you for sharing the cold with us for a bit!
Snow races?! 😈
It’s gotta happen!
Yes please
Yo GREAT edit! Sorry for smacking your GoPro on a rock 😂😂😂
🤣🤣 All good! I love that shot!
I have so many clips of me saying, “opps sorry Kyle” 😂 that go pro can take a hit!
Boom 💥
