ONE HOUR into the clip and I am already light years ahead. This makes me wanna VENMO or something you, because it is masive work and learning that you have put into. And making it free is beyond gracious. Literally have no way of thanking you enough, you have made me want to edit again, after giving up because of the complexity and all the 100$ courses(living in a country where I get this much for seeral days of work). AGAIN MASSIVE THANK YOU, U ARE THE BEST. CHEERS AND HAVE A WONDERFU DAY :)
definitely worth the watch if you're a beginner/ slightly experienced. advanced for sure. don't be afraid to hit pause, reference your own research, and come back. Nice video!!
I'm 45 minutes into this, and I can already say that this is by far the most useful collection of PP techniques and functions presentations that I have found on YT ever. Particularly if you have already started working with PP but feel totally lost about best practices and the absence of your editing muscle memory, this seems to offer a ton of inspiration to develop your own style. Nothing like: "This is a must do!" Instead it calmly explains functions and shows you enough to start your own thought process about potential application. Absolutely love it!
Oh, and BTW: +1 (or rather +10) for not flooding the video with unnecessary generic background "music" that I would mute within 2 seconds on any other encounter outside of YT tutorials. Silence is golden.
Hi Dave, thank you so much for uploading this video, extremely helpful in my preparation for the ACP exam. 🚩Just wanted to ask you or if anyone shared the same issue, the video seems to be stuck between , while I can hear you perform functions regarding audio compression, I felt a little lost there for a minute. Audio and colour correction are the 2 subjects that I have been struggling with in my 12 years of working on Premiere Pro. Your video has cleared up a lot of my doubts that even my co-workers could not fill me up on. Really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and I look forward to learning a lot more from you. Cheers!
Without doubt this could be the best premier pro tutorial on the entire Internet… Most tutorials are complete crap. You are a breath of fresh air. The problem being… After years of using premiere Pro I have finally given it up for an infinitely better program… Da Vinci‘s Resolve 18. It really makes premiere Pro look like a toy. And you are so good at what you do I am amazed that that’s not your program of choice. But for those of us who really need to be using premiere Pro… You are the go to tutorial guy. But I recommend to anybody who is smart and willing to deal with a bit of a learning curve… Switch to Resolve. You won’t be disappointed.
Frame blending isn't useless if you know when to use it. Basically, what it's doing is a cross dissolve except it's doing it in between every single frame to avoid duplicate frames. So when low frame rate footage is slowed down, rather than having duplicate frames, it creates a new frame that's a blend of the two on either side of it. Optical flow, on the other hand, is basically like Photoshop's content-aware fill. It's using computer algorithms to guess where each pixel should be and recreating new frames where the duplicate frames would be.
I started learning about photoshop yesterday through your beginners tutorial, and a day later you upload this! what a perfect timing. Appreciated so much!
50 mins in and I love it. I been using Premier for couple personal projects but always knew there was a better way to do things. This video does exactly just that. Thank you so much !
One of these tutorials that have so much useful and advanced techniques in it, that you will come back to it years later because you remembered that one trick that you haven't used until now
I learned the basics for Premier Pro and After Effects from Dave Bode’s previous tutorials. I must say if it wasn’t for those, I think it would’ve taken me much longer to grasp the basics, since other tutorials don’t go so in depth and feel a bit rushed. Can’t wait to watch this one and learn something new. Dave is the man! 😁 Cheers from North Macedonia 🇲🇰
as a performer myself, used to perform hip hop and do live shows improv, a freestyle emcee if you will, and now that i'm coming over to the filmmaking side and learning about movie beats, i totally get your rhythmical tapping. when i first started editing, i was dropping everything on the fours, but understanding the flow of music i switched up my editing style and been dropping to the the beat like i''m in a freestyle. the advice you dropped makes a lot of sense my dude. diggin your breakdowns, def liked and subbed, letttttssss goooooo!
I just watched your old Premiere Pro 3 hour tutorial and this one is really good too. As someone who comes from Vegas and had no idea about Premiere prior to watching it, it's been really helpful.
Really excellent course, been playing with premiere for years and still haven't learnt to roll onto my stomach, think crawling might be a real possibility soon after having watched this.
Thank you for your effort put in this video. It's one of the best and more complex tutorials I've ever watched! I've been using Premiere Pro for many years but I've learned a lot although. Most of the stuff you have shown I didn't know or didn't use. Your After Effects tutorial for begginers is also great! I'm sending greetings from Prague!
if dave bode had its own channel on youtube he would have more than 3 million subscriber alone as of now. the way he teaches with clarity shows his grip on the subject. envato tuts is diversified product to teach but Adobe PP it self has greater diversified tools alone.
Hi! We're thrilled to hear you enjoy Dave's teaching style! His clarity really shines through, and we’re glad you’re finding the content valuable. Thanks for being part of our community! Cheers!
Ive just been messing around in premiere finding my own way to do things by just looking around and googling. This is great for a fresh notebook example of how things are done
Nice very nice. I'm having my app designed at this moment and it is good to see what it takes to design an app. This gives me a lot of knowledge so that I can understand the process much better and talk with the designers. Thank you.
❗the best course for understanding daily processes and ways to solve them. I really liked how the issue with the drifting sound was highlighted. This is a headache with multi-camera sound processing. When at the beginning of the year, then the desynchronization, then the buzz again. It's excruciating. Here, you have perfectly considered the possibility of solving this problem.
Copy paste thing you started was incorrect. That is because we have set our keyboard shortcuts like that.. that's why clip is pasted to layer 1. You can change it though.
This video I see is now 5 years old, however I still hear mighty praise of its teachings. I was wondering whether it is still applicable with premiere pro’s version, now 5 years later.
❗Sound level tracking is a special topic for consideration and I am glad that you took the time to do this in this lesson. This is an extremely important moment for the technical delivery of the material in terms of sound quality.
its like god sent you like an angle . one of the best tutorial I ever seen. definitely will check out your after effect tutorial. thank you very much .
Hey man. Thank you Gotta be real I got lost and confused a fair bit. Mate to give out the pro info and also deliver a dialogue that I can kinda understand is proper skilfull bro. I got the info needed. Cheers bro fantastic job
This is an amazing video. I've been using Premiere for a long time and there was new stuff in here that I learned today. 100% loved the video and I subbed. Great job sir
HELLO ENVATO! What is the best way to Capture Video from my Sony PWE-EX1R XCAM? Camera IDEE Firwire output to PC via IDEE Firewire? USB out of Camera to USB into PC? I tried using a micro SD into an SD adapter into an SXS adapter! It recorded fine but when I plug the SD Card in into the computer it seems that Sonybput each shot and it's own folder so if I had 100 shots I would have to click on 100 folders to load my video into Premiere the video looks great but I need to learn how Batch Capture all in one take! Any advice would be greatly appreciated?
Hello, I'm totally noob for this but I want to get into editing. How's this video for total beginner? EDIT: Also, if anyone can recommend free alternative for Adobe Premiere, just to get things started not to buy anything recklessly.
Hello how are you? thanks for the Video. I just realized when I copy paste a track and even if i only select Video 2 it is still overwriting Video 1. What happened there? is it because of the new update of Adobe Premiere? Thanks Phil

Well said. That’s what I’ve been looking for. Other ppl be showing off (which is cool) or some just be explaining way too much and go off topic.
This is the video I have been looking for for the last 17 years of my life. Everything is explained so beautifully, thank you!
No way i will learn photohsop and premiere pro form one channel all that to this team . Keep Uploading . Love from nepal .

Yes, the items explained in this video are still valid.
