So basically all you need to replace the tire is the tire itself, valve core remover and armadillos?
Hey, i know the video is a bit older but did you guys both waterproof your boards? Just curious if they are holding up (whether you did or didn't)
@@timminsarmwrestlingconnect we did and yeah they’re good!
A 5 inch hub option that is mag handle compatible. I could see FM releasing it next year. 🤞
great video
@@rees-9941 thank you!!
Can you do one swapping for GTS Motor?
We swap to a GTS motor in this video. But we’ll do a more in depth GTS XRC video. 🤘🏽
🎶 The boys are back in town! 🎉

Im 160lbs and get 23 miles per charge on my board and my cruising speed is 13mph. Thats crazy how weight plays such a big part in range
So after some investigation and more battery cycles I’m now getting around 16-17. My cruising speed is around 18 though so that may also play a big role.
Dang that Bucks sweater is awesome!!!!
@@buckybadger02 thank you! My wife got it for me🤘🏻go Bucks💚💜
25:38 "If they could have done anything better with this board, what do you think you would have done differently. The VESC community is laughing..." at the "Backwards Motion" of "Future Motion." I love my 5" inch MTE hub on my WTF/Enduro setup with Flight Fins, Fangs. I never acquired a GT because of the heavy 6.5" hub... it's the wrong direction for a device with no suspension. Not to mention, 5" hub is almost 2lbs lighter than a 6.5" hub. Also, they should have Ceramic Coated the rails to help dissipate heat. Powder Coating is a wonderful insulator, but that is the last thing you want on rails designed to extract heat from the motor. "There ain't no bumpers like the Bang Bumpers" but at least FM is moving in the right direction with the guidance of Bodhi.
For an out of the box board, they did a great job. The best they’ve put out to date. There’s always going to be something to complain about. But that’s why companies like TFL exist in every sport in the world. And just to be clear, the other guys on the factory team are the ones putting in the hard work and guidance.

Ordered one as well coming soon have the recurve version of the classic

@@carvecreative super stoked thx have a pint x too so never experienced the gts motor powa yet 🤙🏻
@@alpinewhite46you’re going to love it!
Nice work Kyle! Can’t wait to test out that GTS motor in some warmer weather😂🥶
Thanks Zak! Appreciate you holding down the 🎥
I just ordered my first Onewheel. Silly question, is the fender designed more for preventing your foot from hitting the wheel, or for preventing water from splashing you?
It’s more for water and debris, it also helps to be able to wedge your foot against it!
Well you convinced me Kyle I took advantage of Black Friday deal and ordered one with recurve rails 😂 🫡
@@Tumbleweed4150 bro you’re gonna love it!
nice board but its a bummer that they don't give the option to order it with stock wooden footpads... the stock ones ruin the classic look...
Agreed. We’ve got a set of wood pads coming. Planning to do a comparison video. 🍻
curious about the range on the classic
We’ve got a range test video. But psi wasn’t perfect and it was a little cold out. It’s better than the OG XR but nowhere close to the GT
Classic Crunch Edition
😂 Apparently the GTS motor gets rid of a lot of the noise. Might need to check it out and make a video about it
If possible could you specify what’s all in this board? I want to replicate it exactly LOL
Thor 300 controller. Tiffany steep in deep wtf rails. Bang bumpers. stock xr footpads. and superflux motor (not sure if it is a HS or HT or v1) looks like a trail pro 2 tire from float life
Damn, that was pretty close! Standard WTF rails, Superflux HS, and then the battery is the Indy Speed Control Split Pack. It rips! 🤓🤘🏽
@@carvecreativeand don’t forget the TFL TorqueBox
@@carvecreative does anyone sell a complete build of these parts I can just buy?
@@zalla135no but you could get a whole kit from Fungineers if you want to go that route. They are about to launch a complete board but not sure when that’s dropping

bro i know where he is he's 20 min from my house lol
Let’s cruise!
Hell yeah! Let’s ride before this snow hits!
you arent getting the range because you weigh 260 lbs and its cold
yeesh, that is really bad compared to GT. Did you put 20PSI in the tire? I ride 19th Psi on GT and get a very decent range on Enduro 6.5 inch.
That's not too shabby and you have to take the colder weather into consideration for the battery percentage. With my XR I get about 14 to 15 on a 60 to 70° day. Then again I'm 140 lb. Weight is everything with these boards that's for sure. Speaking of weight how is the weight of the board compared to an XR?
It’s about 3lbs heavier than the OG XR. But you can get it down to 30lbs with some aftermarket parts
Compared to the OGXR it’s a little bit more weight. But compared to the GT it’s way lighter feeling.
260 with gear or without? Also setting board psi to 10% body weight would definitely help with the range
Definitely going to play around with PSI and see what happens
As soon as you said “surges” is the moment you saved me $2k. Thanks for the video
You can add the GTS motor to the XRC and the surging is pretty much gone! Lightweight powerful setup!
@ but will it increase the top speed and haptic buzz to 25mph like the GTS? I already have a rally edition so I’m spoiled and can’t go back to average performance. 😬
new to this, what are surges?
Get some better (more suitable) shoes
@@dogbog99 better shoes increase range?
@@indiemotomaybe for the walk of shame. 😂
@@leeweber85🤣☠️
Footwear definitely helps when riding these things. Especially the boards with concave.
I’m a bigger guy myself Mine was getting about 10 out the box a good balance charge and made sure my tire was about 19-20 and got just over 15 a couple good balance charge sessions is probably the key
Good to know! A good balance is always a good move. Especially with new board
That’s a great idea!
@@carvecreative mileage getting any better for you? Thismorning was the lowest since I balanced it It was 30 degrees here thismorning and only got like 12 miles of range with a 15mph average but I kinda expected that with the fast speeds and cold weather
Pretty cool doing the full circle of your riding adventures. How are you liking the wider footpads?
@@DuTch_-0- thanks! I like them so far! After seeing what kind of mileage I’m getting I’m thinking I’ll need to put on a lighter tire and possibly the wood footpads as well.
@@carvecreative I've heard from a few other people that, that tire doesn't preform well with low PSI. They were getting better range keeping it around 17-19 psi. Nobody seems though to really like the 6" version of that tire. I've always been a fan of the wood footpads. Thanks for the video.
Damn that crash looked brutal. Glad you’re good dude! Crushing it on the streets with that thing! Looks like you’re super comfortable on it.
It’s a really fun street ripper!
Did you start off at 100%? I'm 190lbs and the board could not go further after reaching 9% battery left. I posted about it and had to do a balance charge. This time I started at 100% and in two stints (without charging) get it down to 2% battery before I couldnt ride anymore. Btw, I thought I read somewhere the XR C has a 275lb weight limit or that might be the pint?
I did start at 100% last night I got 13 miles on a ride but I was consciously going slow to not drain the battery quicker.
When riding a onewheel for maximum range consider stopping on a decline to take a break instead of flat ground or an incline. That way when you step back on the board doesn't use extra power to get back up to cruising speed. Electric skateboards can get more range if riders kick push when they first jump on, but onewheels riders would need to start on a decline to get the same effect.
Something isn’t right. Maybe that tire is susceptible to low psi or something? I’m a heavy rider and get more miles per ride on my pint X.
Pint X isn’t as powerful. So that might be something to take into account.
Dang, that's is not near what I was hoping to see on miles traveled. Yikes.
Yeah same here…I’ll try to add some air to the tire and see what happens.
I’d say pump the tire pressure a few more pounds and repeat. I was on track for 16 miles of range in colder weather this weekend.
still has more range than the XR. For you that means 2-3 more miles per charge.
True! And it’s way more fun than the XR.
More fun than gt or pint? I know we are talking about completely different boards here.
@@TobyIAHXR was always the best riding platform. The XRC is no different! 🥰🤘🏽
Estimated ranges are for 160lbs to 200lbs. For your weight and the smaller battery size of xr classic 11 - 13miles is about right
Thanks for the info! It’s interesting because in the past there was never that big of a gap between the estimated range and what I got..
@@carvecreativeidk about that, that’s a heck of a short! The og pint is 6-8 miles range rated for that 250 lbs but at 270 I still get 5.5-6 miles so I don’t see you getting shorted 7 miles as normal
Range is no good.
Not so far for me…thinking I might try to swap to the wooden pads and throw a whisper on to shave some board weight…
@@carvecreative I saw your friends XR in your last video. Would he allow a range comparison ride on it?
What's your psi?
PSI is at 16. I haven’t adjusted from the factory.
@@carvecreative This is why. Pump that tire up and you'll get a few more miles of range.
Morning coffee with a range test, this Monday is alright
Couldn’t agree more.
🤙🏾✨️ sorry about the range 😅 first song?
I use hyperview when I can on my rides. It squeezes more into the short. Superview is great too. Just not on a road bike leaning on the hoods riding them.
What does he mean when he says, the GT Feels Tippy?...
@@MGRodriguez1 top heavy in relation to the pint and XR platform. You stand higher up in relation to the wheel on the GT.
The “Tippy” feeling comes from the high center of gravity on the GT boards. The XR and Pint were more centered on the wheel, making the boards ride much better. It’s a confidence thing. When you’re constantly struggling with the feeling of the board tipping out from underneath you, it’s not a very fun/safe feeling ride. When you can just jump on the board and ride and not worry about that feeling, it is a complete game changer.
