  • The last 3 weeks in the weekends I have been training my handstand on the pull up bar. This is the current progress I made so far.
    11 monts in now since I started doing calisthenics, so I booked a huge amount of progress. Meaning that even more crazier videos are to be expected!

    I got myself a pullup bar this summer and I am still afraid to try the handstand on the bar. And I dont even have those wrist grippers, I guess I just gotta work on grip strength and slowly work through the fear. Nice stuff bro!

      Yo bro currently I have developed to hold the handstand for 10seconds. The grippers I use are simply wrist straps and 2 random bandages, which you might probably already have. I will do a video about it this week. It will be useful for you to understand how I used those for my progressions 👌

      Yoo, it's alright when you tackle it in steps 😉 yeah they were part of the progression. I did a series about the handstand on the bars and in the third video i explained how i was using them and on how i progressed to not needing them anymore 👊

      @@tristangybels8040 Yeah man I saw that one, it looks so complicated to do haha can't believe you do it every time you wanna practice.
      Great find though, I bet it helped alot with fear of crashing yourself and falling over.

    Try protracting your upper back while pushing to handstand, you will engage your core a lot more and stabilize yourself

    Why do you use this bands? Is it hard to do it without it?

    • @tristangybels8040
      @tristangybels8040  Год назад

      this was when i first started doing my handstand on the pullup bar. You could perfectly do it without straps by first slowly learning to roll over the bar and then gradually pressing up and rolling over until your arms are not bend (into the handstand position). but i did this with my straps because i was actually stil learning to catch the hold. and another reason was that i didnt have a soft surface underneath me. so If you have big mattresses then my advice is to actually not fear trying it without straps. before trying like i said you can warm up by rolling over the bar, that way you get used to the falling motion. Best of luck!

    Can you already do handstand on the straight bar? Because its dangerous if you didnt

    • @tristangybels8040
      @tristangybels8040  3 года назад +1

      I practiced on a single parallette first, the progression from that to this took me some risks. But as you can see on the video I used straps and a big amount of confidence. Now I have become very confident on the bar.
