- The last 3 weeks in the weekends I have been training my handstand on the pull up bar. This is the current progress I made so far.
11 monts in now since I started doing calisthenics, so I booked a huge amount of progress. Meaning that even more crazier videos are to be expected!

I got myself a pullup bar this summer and I am still afraid to try the handstand on the bar. And I dont even have those wrist grippers, I guess I just gotta work on grip strength and slowly work through the fear. Nice stuff bro!
Yo bro currently I have developed to hold the handstand for 10seconds. The grippers I use are simply wrist straps and 2 random bandages, which you might probably already have. I will do a video about it this week. It will be useful for you to understand how I used those for my progressions 👌
Impressive!
Keep going hard!
Thanks G
This is inspirational..not gonna lie. Keep it up bro.
I'm happy to inspire you! Thanks bro!
Awesome brother
thnx bro
Where can I find the straps? I wanna try at my local park but I’d also not like to hurt myself
i was wondering htf to fall if i tilt to front... Thank you.
I Will save this for further motivation
Let's gooo!
Dealing with the same xd good progress mate
how's you progress now?
that dog looks so cute ❤
his name is Dinky
Very nice man, looks very scary haha.
Are the straps to not fly off the bar ?
Yoo, it's alright when you tackle it in steps 😉 yeah they were part of the progression. I did a series about the handstand on the bars and in the third video i explained how i was using them and on how i progressed to not needing them anymore 👊
@@tristangybels8040 Yeah man I saw that one, it looks so complicated to do haha can't believe you do it every time you wanna practice.
Great find though, I bet it helped alot with fear of crashing yourself and falling over.
Just tried this today .. i fell and my leg hit the bar , can't walk properly 💀💀💀 but I'll still try the next time
Back swing must be so fun
I was fearing it tbh lol
Try protracting your upper back while pushing to handstand, you will engage your core a lot more and stabilize yourself
Agree! but i was still pretty much an amateur. Hs has gotten a lot better now🙂
👍
Why do you use this bands? Is it hard to do it without it?
this was when i first started doing my handstand on the pullup bar. You could perfectly do it without straps by first slowly learning to roll over the bar and then gradually pressing up and rolling over until your arms are not bend (into the handstand position). but i did this with my straps because i was actually stil learning to catch the hold. and another reason was that i didnt have a soft surface underneath me. so If you have big mattresses then my advice is to actually not fear trying it without straps. before trying like i said you can warm up by rolling over the bar, that way you get used to the falling motion. Best of luck!

Can you already do handstand on the straight bar? Because its dangerous if you didnt
I practiced on a single parallette first, the progression from that to this took me some risks. But as you can see on the video I used straps and a big amount of confidence. Now I have become very confident on the bar.
I cant even press to hs on straight bar, it seems just impossible, but now you motivated me to fail again, just kidding, I hope I lose my fear xD
try try try!
@@tristangybels8040 I did, it didn't work tho, maybe I'm too weak rn
@@fabiorodrigues3x how far are you? Can you do a hs press on the ground?
@@tristangybels8040 well, on the ground I know I can tuck press to hs, on parallel bars I can bent arm full press to hs
@@tristangybels8040 but when I try it on straight bar it doesn't feel normal to me, I can barely to a tuck planche on straight bar
I’m here after a year bro 😎
How is the progress now?
Nice! Much better than that^^ 😄
@@tristangybels8040 that’s amazing to hear ☺️

On the floor on a single parallette you mean? If so Then you can do it on the bar too man!! ✌️ Just keep trying out new stuff 😉 cheers bro
@@tristangybels8040 na just like on the floor.. im new to bars. only been going 3 times now. trying to get pullups. its a differnet type of strenth to what im used to. so i need to start from begining.
@@djam7484 from what i know just keep training basics for strength 💪 but of course also practice skills
Hahahahaha dinky
DINKY NOOT NOOT
So in essence you are saying achieving this skill is not totally safe?
No you can train it safe, i was just an idiot back then 🤣
