honestly coolest part of these is knowing you're improving alongside making these videos. And you're really giving us what worked for you which is golden knowledge
Bro you are genuinely such a chill influence on my fitness journey. I've only implemented a few calisthenics exercises I've seen off your channel and it feels like I'm finally in the right direction. 1 year in and I've gone from 2 pull ups to 17 with good form. Thanks for everything!
Another awesome video, honestly these videos and your character all together have been my biggest motivation for callisthenics and physical activity. Appreciate this man, you're the best.
I just discovered today that I am able to do it with both arms. I've never done it before an actually kinda shocked. Yes i do a lot of regular pull ups. I can do about 30 straight. I think what helped a lot was that I incorporated single arm bent over rows the past month.
Since I started watching you I’ve gone more into calisthenics and at this point now I’ve gone from doing 1 nasty form pull-up to 5-6 consecutive good form pull ups in just about 2-3 weeks. Thanks for the motivo Colin
Watch what door frames you use the pull-up bar on. I had a friend rip the trim right off of the door frame the first time he used it. The average door trim is held only be thin paneling nails.
I’ve been able to get to 90 degrees one arm for a year now, and I’ve really wanted to get to one arm, but I haven’t really been training for it. Guess it’s time to do that!
Did Colin get a quarter million subscribers in 1 year??? Looks like guppy, bites like shark. He's a RUclips Algorithm Shark controlling his vocal inflection (raising his octaves at the end of each statement to make it sound like a question) and vocal fry and so much more. What a pro. So impressive. Take notes, guys.
can you give routines for beginner intermediate and advanced with exercises for doing the oapu this would be very helpful like you did in your fl tut vid
What is the difference between pulling towards the other side of the face versus pulling on the same side? Suppose Right Arm to Left side of Face vs Right Arm to Right side of Face.
Can you please do a tutorial on how to do a weekly workout plan please!!! Ive been trying so hard to create one but all these calistenics athletes on the internet say that the optimal way to train is their way or that way and I just feel like with every video I watch about this subject I get to know less and less! Please help me! 🙏🙏🙏
Great advice, just one small question, how about learning one arm Australian rows before learning one arm pullups? I think that will make the transition easier and better towards learning the one arm pullups right?
Once I can do this and a handstand pull-up i'll have completed life. I'm not nearly as fit as I should be right now but I can at least do 10 normal pull ups.. maybe I can get there in like 5 years 😂
Love your vids man. How much time do you put into working out and did you put in extra work (in regards to time) for this? I like doing calisthenics and i have a workout routine for 3 times a week which is ok but could be better, but work really kills my consistency for time. Sometimes i gotta workout late at night or early in the morning and it gets annoying
When I do armed pull ups and go down my body swings so I can’t do multiple reps without touching the ground although I think I have the strength to go for at least three reps without touching the ground. Any suggestions?
Bro, for years my left lower bicep inner elbow area has prohibited me from pull-ups... Not even an excuse, I love dips and pull ups... I wish I could fix this...
If you’re 6’1 and 180lbs like me, you can’t even hang with one arm tbh, I have to start with assisted one arm hangs otherwise my lats can’t handle the weight
Colin don't know if you'll see this but I'm curious, do you stay shredded year around or just every once in a while drop down to it? If so is it rough?
I’d say I stay lean year round for the most part. I think shredded is different and it did affect my energy a bit when I was like that. But yeah cutting is tough but it’s not impossible.
Awesome video Colin.. knew you would get this.. because you are a consistent non-quitter🤗 Watched you do them from both sides.. my guys wanted to know if it matters if you are left or right handed.. should you train both sides.. or just go with your dominant side.. and then get the other later? Or work both sides at same time?🥹 Anyway.. you are awesome.. cannot wait to see what you decide to do next😊 Jen999💜💙
Definitely train both sides that’s very important. And I’m right hand so it is easier on my dominant side but I train both. But thanks for the comment Jen hope all is well!

Ain’t seen one of ur vids Ina minute, glad to see u got the one arm pull-up

Can you give me some tips my level is that I can pull up 20 kg for 8 reps with bodyweight of 70 kg and 35 kg for 2 reps
Your videos are the best! And your sense of humor is perfect. I hope you keeping going!
Man in all that years of watching calisthenics vids this is truly the most practical and helpful one arm pull up vid I’ve seen
You finally did it, that’s hella impressive for 6’3
Yea got it done! Thank you
Is it tougher when one is taller?
@@hastensavoir7782 in calisthenics, the taller you are, the harder everything is.

This is so helpful, thanks. Very detailed. You also probably kept me from breaking my arm

I just watched your 7 days protein bar challenge video where you failed this and now I'm seeing this. awesome work!
Dude you never stop😮
Never!🙌
Always improving, this one

It’s worked in most of the frames I’ve been around. I trust it at least
I’ve been able to get to 90 degrees one arm for a year now, and I’ve really wanted to get to one arm, but I haven’t really been training for it. Guess it’s time to do that!

Very Cool Video! Keep up the great work!
Another great video 🦾🦾

Protect your shoulders, guys (especially for those of us over 40). Injuries are humbling at best and life changing at worst.
Step 1: be able to do at least 1 normal pull up 😅

Dang I should have made it like that. I’ll have to work on another project in the future!
Weighted pullup game is on point, my boy. I can't seem to get past 25 lbs with mine.
its a very hard exercise. hang in there and keep at it! they r very great for unlocking other skills.
Love your videos, Colin. Be careful to keep consistent audio levels in your voice-overs. 😘

Beast status! gj Colin!
Yessir! Thank you🙌
Ayeeee he finally got it!
Really really good content, thanks! for how long did you keep at it before you succeeded?
currently my max pull ups is 9 reps in one go and I can do like 6 reps for 3 to 4 sets rn hope to be able to do one arm pull up one day.
What is the difference between pulling towards the other side of the face versus pulling on the same side?

That's funny I literally got my first one arm pull up a few days ago
Ayye respect🫡 and congrats! I wanna get mine cleaner

5:36 HAHAHA great video thanks for making content
Right now I can do 10 clean slow pull-ups. My next goal is learning muscle-ups. It shouldn't be too hard, I just need to figure out how to
Yeah with 10 clean pull-ups you might have the strength to do it now. I have a tutorial on my channel if you want a how to
Good tips

Good stuff man. What's your max pull-ups?
I mean also using the pull up assist machine would have to help right
Just keep reducing the weight it negates until eventually your doing your weight

Out of curiosity after learning the 1 arm pullup try to do a front lever and let me know if it trasnlates into that
I got the front lever before the oap weighted pull-ups are better imo for that

Me watching this video while not being able to do a pullup.
I'm working on it though.
Cam you drop a abs tutorial , i can do hand stand a l sit for now but dono how to target abs
Can you do a video on if men should do kegels?

how much was the weight on weighted pull ups before you started to attempt 1 hands?
