We became friends and he invited me to Berkeley. So, I went there. What a blast! I never ever enjoyed my life that much. I got totally stuck and didn't go back to Japan. After almost 45 years, I'm still stuck, though not in California anymore. But I think the time has come for me to go back to my country. I have nothing but gratitude to the U.S.

I saw The Graduate for the first time in 1975 as a fifteen year old. At the time I saw the movie my first teenage crush and I had ended. It shook me and the words "she once was a true love of mine" and all the Simon and Garfunkel songs of The Graduate" were a coming of age moment in my life. Every time I see the movie I see and feel something different.

Eine der besten Filme der sechziger Jahre und des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts mit dem zeitlosen stimmungsvollen Sound von Simon und Garfunkel mit dem bis dato noch jungen unbekannten Dustin Hoffmann in der Hauptrolle der damit seinen filmischen Durchbruch schaffte und die tolle Katherine Ross und Anne Bancroft in den beiden weiblichen Hauptrollen. Perfekt besetzt und inszeniert deswegen auch nicht veraltet und immer noch absolut sehenswert. Ein absoluter Klassiker der Filmgeschichte.
The movie was very good, and I liked the suspense, one never knew .when watching it for the first time - what was going to happen next. The song is very good, after all these years, a song that makes one think.
My grandma loved Simon & Garfunkle, she knew every word to every song they did. I remember when I was around 9 years old she had me watch The Graduate with her, I asked her if that was Dustin Hoffmen in the movie. She said it was his first film, she told me who the other people were in it and even pointed Aunt Clara and Esmerelda from Bewitched in it as well.

Remember seeing part of the movie, at my grandparents, home. A shockingly riveting film, Dustin Hoffman...wow, and of course, Simon and Garfunkel. Thank you for posting.

Eine der besten Filme der sechziger Jahre und des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts mit dem zeitlosen stimmungsvollen Sound von Simon und Garfunkel mit dem bis dato noch jungen unbekannten Dustin Hoffmann in der Hauptrolle der damit seinen filmischen Durchbruch schaffte und die tolle Katherine Ross und Anne Bancroft in den beiden weiblichen Hauptrollen. Perfekt besetzt und inszeniert deswegen auch nicht veraltet und immer noch absolut sehenswert. Ein absoluter Klassiker der Filmgeschichte.

The movie was very good, and I liked the suspense, one never knew .when watching it for the first time - what was going to happen next. The song is very good, after all these years, a song that makes one think.
Great to see the appreciation of this film from all parts of the globe.

My grandma loved Simon & Garfunkle, she knew every word to every song they did. I remember when I was around 9 years old she had me watch The Graduate with her, I asked her if that was Dustin Hoffmen in the movie. She said it was his first film, she told me who the other people were in it and even pointed Aunt Clara and Esmerelda from Bewitched in it as well.
Why does this make me cry? Every time.
Incredible soundtrack for an equally incredible movie that was way ahead of it's time. The last quarter of the movie really did it for me. ❤❤😅
