The strangest part of Sticky Notes being tied to OneNote is that there is zero integration between the two. You can't transfer a sticky note into a OneNote page; you can only copy and paste its contents. It's a bizarre omission.
I installed office today and got the new sticky notes app, but when I open it it says "new sticky notes: not supported". Even though I have windows 11 and Office version 2407. Also, inside OneNote I noticed I dont have the option "sticky notes" in the top right corner.
The "preview" of this just appeared without me asking or wanting or needing it. Can't uninstall it either. Microsoft has to learn not to foist things on users without asking first. All the X Box apps I don't want are uninstallable too. Hard drive space is not infinite.

1:40 you can actually access sticky notes through the shortcut win+alt+s or through the tray icon provided onenote is running in the background
Correct, but I don't want OneNote running in the background.

@Brentech what version of office are you using?
I only use the online version.
@@brentechthe office which you are using in your laptop in the following video
I just noticed that I have this and I do NOT like this new app. I love the previous Sticky Notes. Luckily, the original is still installed on mine.
