@Power 2 Weight If you think a fool doing that to his car because he can't get the exact price for it is okay then maybe you need to check yourself. You're probably one of those idiots giving guns to mental midgets that end up shooting up schools and malls.
@@6Sisu9 Sometimes when people have tantrums like that they just need their ass kicked. It could save their life down the road when their temper gets away from them.

This really hurts to see. Nova's are my dreamcar, and to see someone just go batshit crazy like that makes me sad as those cars are rare as hell here in Norway. Fuck, dude..
Gather 'round children. It's time for the story of my next shitbox build. Here's a story on the $200 1972 Nova I bought tonight. It's a long read, but worth it. About 45 days ago, a friend told me about this 1972 Rally Nova with a mild sbc with a BRAND NEW procharger on it. So, figured I'd spend the $7500 that was the buy it now price. Drive it home, take the procharger kit off and sell the car for the same price paid or more. Remember, up until 3 weeks ago, this car was MINT! Could never get the guys number, or other way to get ahold of him. We were ready to try smoke signals. Found a craigslist ad for the blower kit on Tuesday. Called and left a message. Guy calls me back, I realized it was the nova we were after...... After speaking to the guy, we agree on a price for the blower kit. Then I bring the car up. Guy cuts me off, says it's already CRUSHED! At this point, I'm wondering what sort of person I'm dealing with. He said it's going to the crusher on Saturday. I asked him to text me pictures of what's left, he said he would. Which he never did. So it was questionable at best that he destroyed a beautiful car, that hes owned for many years. Friday (Today) comes around, head over to Topeka to buy the procharger kit. Which turned out to be brand new, tags still on it for $2,400. Once that deal was done, I started checking the Nova out. The quarters, doors and fenders have been hit with a pick-axe. I asked him why, he said because he had it listed for $12,000 forever and not a single call. At this point, I notice the underside is nearly perfect, the body is rust free and the fact that it's a stick car with the motor and trans still intact. After 20 or so minutes, he agreed to hand me the car, with title for $200. All of the chassis and internal body structure is in MINT shape. He went on to explain how it was a Texas car he bought from there many years ago. Rushed back home, grabbed the trailer and went back out there at 9:30 this evening to buy it. The story is pretty wild behind it and the car is entirely too cool to crush. So, I'm going to fix it.
The guy might not be a hero ..... but he took out his life's problems on a piece of metal that can be replaced .... he didn't walk into a building & start killing people ... have to at least respect that part..... lot of stuff humans do , that is far worse than wrecking a car
My 2 cents: to me it looks like he shot the car with an arrows of all things at each major dent. An arrow at prob 20 yards will collapse the metal and with field points will spot a perfectly round hole in the middle. Which is what that damage looks like. Hope he bent every arrow too at min $7 each. What an idiot. Hope you get the car back on the self propelled mode and the owner sees it to remark about it and you laugh at his stupidity.
I thought I just watched this car driving in a video recently why the fuck did he do this I know you guys could restore it though hope you do I have 69 as nova
I seem to recall a VERY similar Nova in one of South Main Auto Repair LLC videos but can't for the life of me find it again. Guy had brought it in just for the guys to check it out. This is just sad.
I think the previous owner had reason because he made sure he went all the way around the car. On the other hand did he voluntarily tell you he did it or someone else? It's way more to that story bub...
My cousin has a 72 rally nova with a factory guess you would call it a sun roof the top is vineal gold center part just slides back never seen but one like it. its got a 307 with a 3 speed buckets and console gold with a gold top white rally stripes
I had a one owner 71 with 68000 original miles and the guy working for me smashed the roof because his girlfriend liked me better, it also was green and had white interior. I sent it to the crusher with a new 327 to watch them cry.
Whammered is one of my new favorite words. Also I'd be happy to take that car off your hands. Hell I'd probably drive it like that to make a good story everywhere you go.
And I thought people who let a car set outdoors and detearerrate because they can't get their asking price are flaky. The guy who did this is more than a man child, he's a total DA and that doesn't stand for District Attorney. The painted rubber trunk gasket and rusty master cylinder cap tells a lot about his lack of attention to detail and why no one called at that price.

Glad your restoring what he did....cant wait to see it back in great shape.
