Thanks for having me on!!!
Hey!
Ur awesome BFM
Wish i would of thought of that username lol
The perfect way to spend a snow day. Inside and watching an ARCA Wreckfest video.
You live In Nashville?
It hit West Virginia too
Arca wreckfest isn't that every arca race
I remember watching this when it aired. It's fun watching this and hearing all these familiar names before they were famous or successful.
Oh and PRAWBLEMS!
RIP Clauson and for all those you've helped. So much better than winning a race ole' pal.
Can't believe it's been over 5 years since Brian Clauson passed away. He had a bright future in racing still up and running.
Gone too soon: Brian Clauson
i didnt even know he died till watching this
I met Brian Clauson when I was a kid. He was at a company party that my dad worked for.
@@Mattyice2000 your lucky
Lmao Ryan Fischer was the owner and my boss at a go kart track I worked at a couple years ago, really awesome dude!
Here's a suggestion for the next one: 2002 Chanellock 250
Had multiple cautions, drama and Ken Alexander.
Ken Alexander the 🐐
I imagine each one of these “wreckfest races” as if the track had ice or rain on it the entire time.
Ngl it makes it funnier
THE BIGGEST ONE
That one time 37 drivers from the sportsman series got involved in a melee at Daytona
That was actually in the Modified Sportsman (now Xfinity) race, the day before the 1960 Daytona 500
I forgot how hyped the start of races on SPEED channel were. I miss that little guitar riff.
4:51 Imagine if it happens during the cup race at gateway in June?
Ye
This was a cool race to see live. Only 28, but went to every gateway nascar & irl/cart race till 09. Love this track.
I'm amazed at how often those cars got upside down.
Bryan Clauson left one hell of a legacy. I may have just heard of him and read some more about him, but absolutely a legend who's impact is indisputable. Definitely not a bust, even if he never consistently got rides in Indycar or NASCAR
Dont worry. Crocker got cheered up with some "special treatment" from Ray Evernham.
At the cost of Mayfields carrer and his own team
@@johngancarcik5682 yeah. He blew the whistle on the affair.
14 years later, Michael McDowell, from Glendale, Arizona, has won the Daytona 500
ARCA and wreckfest seemed to go together quite well in the mid 2000's
Arca and wreckfests are a match made in heaven
Iv been waiting for this collab for a while now
I was looking on Racing Reference just now, and I think the ARCA race, at Gateway, the year prior to this, in 2006, was also a wreckfest, if I'm not mistaken. Perhaps that is a video for another day, for your channel, if you haven't already documented that race.
1:47 I thought it was Bobby Gerhart since I easily recognize who drives that number 5 Lucas Oil race car.
Suggestion for a future video: The 1997 Gateway 300, first-ever NASCAR race at Gateway. It was, in a word, a shitshow, with the track surface coming apart because they ran in the afternoon in late July with very sticky rubber. The race was bad enough that Kyle Petty vowed, on television, that he'd never come back unless NASCAR held a Cup race there and "we have to." The final few dozen laps were actually run under something of a gentlemen's agreement among the drivers to take it very easy, not go past three-quarters throttle, and stay single-file and not make any attempts to pass, because there was only one lane of asphalt left that hadn't crumbled yet and everyone was terrified of a big crash hurting someone. NASCAR hasn't run in daylight in mid-summer there since, just to make sure that conditions are cool enough to prevent a repeat. To give an idea of just how much of a slog it was, the race average speed was 78.803 mph; the next-slowest Busch Series race at Gateway was the 2003 edition at 92.87, while the 1998 version averaged 104.566 mph.
This was the first time I ever watched a car flip live
FIRST!!! Also keep making great content 👌👏👍🙌
Back when mcdowell raced in a dodge charger but the starting of the 2008 season, thats when he moved over to toyota n joined michael waltrip racing (MWR).
40 cars for an ARCA race at Gateway... those were the days
Old ARCA had such high attrition rates jesus
Arca you go to watch a demo derby and sometimes a race breaks out
Wreck go brrr
There was a millionaire a while back who said that he would bury his Bentley. This got a lot of criticism, and after he revealed that this was just a publicity stunt, he said that people every day bury much more expensive things. He was, of course, referring to organ donations. If you are dead and have no use for perfectly fine organs, just donate them. They will save lives.
I miss the SPEED channel and arca who had a big entry list.
Speed channel I'd love to have it back
ugh one thing that sucks is he died on my birthday that year
Literally nr2003 physics
RIP Bryan Clauson.
👍🏽👍🏽
1997 Busch Gateway wreck fest
I totally forgot Brian Keselowski drove for Bobby Gerhart
