The best way to feel as little as the pistol as possible is by not putting all the accessories on it. An OEM stock Glock 19 is pretty comfortable to carry. When I put my red dot, ramjet, x300t and magwell is when I start to have to dress in larger pants and shirts so I don't print. Even micros like my P365XL are cumbersome with my tlr7 sub and eps carry. Take off the accessories and it really does feel like nothing. Same with my OG Shield 45. No optic mounting and no accessory rail so it really feels so damn comfortable. I still carry with my red dots, x300s, magwells, extra extended magazine though 😂

Great video and I hear where you are coming from, but I respectfully want to tell any new CCW person, don't get a big light unless you've tried carrying it for a while. I would say the same thing about a light as I would about a gun. Carry the biggest one you can. If it's so big you don't always carry it, then you picked wrong, or you need a second smaller option. With that said, in my experience, it's the light that makes carrying AIWB uncomfortable. And I carry every single day. I have a T1C for regular days when I have a belt, and I have an Enigma for days I'm in board shorts or basketball shorts. I carry a Glock 19 with a small Inforce light. For me it's more comfortable to carry a Glock 17 with a small light, than a Glock 19 with a big light. All the new CCW people that I talk to bought the X300 because a lot of people say it's the best WML. I agree that it is arguably the best, but it's then very hard for a new CCW person to get comfortable with the light. And now they need to buy a new light and holster. I know 3 people that did this. Think of the expense of buying twice, crying twice. I've been carrying every day for years, so I can get away with a big light, but I don't want to deal with that level of discomfort compared to a small light. If I was carrying in a duty rig, I'd 100% have a big light, but as a civilian, no chance. I'm not clearing rooms, trying to see through car windows, or trying to break through photonic barriers like a cop or military guy. I have a small light on my gun, and usually a legit duty light in my pocket if I need it, but it's not digging into me the way a full sized light would. Again, I really like the video and agree with what you're saying, but for people new to this, I suggest the smallest light they can trust.
Carrying a gun is comforting, not comfortable. I have wussed out after carrying a full size for nearly 20 years and started carrying a shield plus with a 13 round mag in my pocket with a pocket holster and a 15 round mag in my other pocket. It's as close to you can get to forgetting that you're carrying, but even then, it's still there and I have to move my smartphone to my back pocket.
To me it's like a watch. I don't forget its there but the discomfort of wearing it went away a long time ago. I carry a p229 or a 4" gp 100. The gp100 can put me in some awkward positions if I pinch myself sitting down with the barrel, but that's about it. I usually don't carry it unless I'm hiking or if my 229 is really dirty from shooting a bunch.
I want to start carrying everyday and I got a Glock 43x with a Holosun dot. What’s your recommendation I want to get used to carrying and not have to constantly be worried about printing starting out. I typically where bagger clothes which I know helps but as far as holster and belts what do you recommend
I've carried a G19, M&P .45, and now a Walther PDP 4" in Urban Carry OWB leather holsters in the 3:00 or 3:30 positions. No printing and I'm barely aware of it being there. But when I'm not carrying (rarely), I definitely know it is not there. I think what most people think of not knowing it's there is the fact that if you have a good fit and carry regularly, you become accustomed to it... It becomes a natural part of you.
This is why I ultimately went with the Sig 365 platform. You can get all the versatility you need. I also own a Glock 43x which is equally awesome but has limited versatility.
Nice review! That CZ P01 is rad. I clear my house with the lights on. Lol. I stick with double stack Glock mag guns like the G26 and MR920. The holster really makes a difference. I like the LLOD holster, super comfy and minimalist.
You have to have the right body size for a IWB setup like that, 2 full mags of 9 and the gun weight for skeletons like me is ridiculous. Single stack with the most simple IWB kydex was more comfortable than anything I've carried. That's why those all look brand new... 😜😂 Wearing one of those tier one concealed with sweatpants would be hilarious to see.
I can’t do side cars. I have collected quite a few AIWB kydex… RCS, Bawidamann, Henry, Harry, Phlster, Phlster enigma. The most “comfortable” for a full size PDP and Glock is the Phlster Pro.
Only gun I own that I think “oh yeah I have my gun on me” is when I carry my ruger lcp .22 in a comfort-tac body band around my waist when I wear ball shorts. It’s just so light and having the body band helps not weigh your cloths down.
I've gotten used to the weight but when you move you know the pistol is on you no matter if it's full or micro the only one I've totally forgotten is a pocket pistol
I still dont have a dot on my pistol, but I've stopped carrying with a wml because its just so unbelievably more comfortable. I just carry a better flashlight in my offhand pocket, and I'm looking at getting a light with a Thyrm Switchback explicitly to make shooting much more user friendly
Yeah, it does get better as you get used to it, but it’s not like wearing a watch or a hat where it doesn’t register after a day or two. The only time I get close to not really feeling it is with my basic g19 setup while standing.
I don’t “forget” but I definitely stop feeling it. I carry a Glock 20 mostly. always appendix. I stop feeling it the same as a wallet in my back pocket or a watch on my wrist. Unless it’s digging into you, it just feels like some extra weight that you stop noticing after awhile
I wouldn't call it "full size" but my P365 with 14 round magazine paired with a Vedder comfort tuck carried at 3:30/4:00 is forgettable. I sometimes tap it to make sure it's still there.
Hybrid pancake holsters are by far the most comfortable holsters I've tried. Soft material against the body. Kydex on the outside for retention. I take naps with mine on. The large surface area of the backing spreads the pressure of the firearm cross your body. Check out alien gear and cross breed holsters. They are designed for full sized firearms.
@@TheRealZJM377 you realize you can still see when it’s dark right. Also I’m specifically referring to you concealed carry not your house gun. There is no logical reason to put anything on your carry gun. Most of anything you can do to it will never change the outcome and probably won’t even be used.
No, it's true!! When I began carrying my Glock 45 (appendix, leather iwb holster) I would have "mini heart attacks" feeling like my gun wasn't there and I would tap it with my hand to verify it was. Now I recognize when other people get bug-eyed for a second and tap their concealed pistol. I don't do this anymore but yes, achieving "is it still there" comfort IS POSSIBLE
@@AllThingsFascinate try a leather holster and find the sweet spot. mine is right against the first belt loop on the right and i scoot my buckle a little out of the way in case i need it in a hurry. i still have to adjust a little sometimes when i get in my car. also, i adjust the holster so the top is nearly flush with my belt (deep concealment). you might need to adjust your holster vertically to find the sweet spot so you can get in and out of chairs and cars without issues. carrying every day is paramount, so finding a comfortable holster and carry position is very important! good luck to you!
@@user-zr4pd1zp7l Thank you! So would you say your pistol is entirely on the upper portion of the body when you're bent over? You don't have the barrel sticking down between leg and groin? @@AllThingsFascinate my handgun is low into my waistband and yes, 😳 close to the groin. it's just high enough for me to get a good draw every time. i bought 2 (relentless tactical) leather holsters thinking the clip would break over time being used every day. i'm still using the first one several years later. i did shave off a bit where the leather covered the mag release and engaged with a little pressure. the holster is thick and protects the trigger. glock triggers get a lot of hate but i'm confident with my factory paper-thin trigger safety. i promise i'm not paid by glock or relentless 😂 these are just my honest opinions. find what works for you with safety in mind
I carry fullsize 1911 TRP with an x300 and red dot. Carry OWB at my 3 o clock. Good holster keeps it tight to the body and if you throw on a good jacket or shirt, no one knows it's there. Most of the time, no one is paying that much attention to you.
I always know when I am carrying any gun, especially my Shield Plus. Now you can get use to it,where it doesn’t bother you as much, but it will always feel like it is there.
I wear a size 32 pants without a carry, with a appendix carry gotta wear a size or two up plus my shirt goes from a medium to large with "longer over hang"
It's very possible. In the context of you know you're carrying but it's not bothering as in the weight. hindering sitting or feeling it move when walking.
Forget im wearing it maybe not but forgetting how it feels to NOT have it on absolutely. I carry EVERYWHERE even mowing the lawn or seating on the couch watching TV.
Im not gonna lie, it all depends on what youre carrying and placement and clothing. Some days a compact isnt notice and sometimes its feels like a full size. Its the inconvenience of having a life saving tool that everyone should be aware of before really carrying imo. Having a firearm in your EDC is a commitment.
I carry a cz p09 sometimes no light or dot on it but I mainly carry a g29 honestly cant even tell much of a difference I appendix carry but when I don’t wanna holster carry I bag off carry sometimes holster get annoying or if I’m driving far

Not having a WML is way more comfy and I do not feel like having the weapon light is such a big deal on EDC but it is a loss in capability but makes me more likely to have the gun in the first place, so not unimportant to have a light but for me pushes the gun past the point of being too uncomfortable
I always carry, so at any moment I think about it I know Im carrying. Is there times i don’t feel it anymore because its so comfortable? Hell yeah! All the time. Outside the waistband simple leather holster and Taurus G2C.
Them lights are way to big for me On my way! A wide guy so I have no problem concealing but the x300 is just to big I'm prefer my light and barrel to sit flush or as close to
You will never basically forget you are carrying till you are to pocket carry size guns. But you shouldn't forget you should be actively concealing it and making sure you don't print.
The key is comfortability to the point where you are willing to carry every day. If it Is so small you don't notice it you won't be able to shoot it well.
THAT FLASH-LIGHT , IN THAT SIZE... IS TOTALLY NON NECESARRY...... BUT EVEN WITH A SMALLER LIGHT, I WILL ALWAYS FEEL IT, AND THATS ACTUALLY A "GOOD" THING.....
I think it’s just a classic example of people feeling the need to exaggerate to feel like they’re making their opinions/choices more valid. I carry a full size gun and have finally gotten it to be pretty comfortable, but do I forget it’s there? Hell no. It’s a thick piece of metal in your pants. Just because it’s not perfect doesn’t mean it’s not good.
All my 4 inch compact I can carry All day no problem except minor adjustments getting in and out of car i do know they are there. I have 3 380 that I do pat myself to check that it's there because so small and light.
Just got a g22 gen 4 after pocket carrying a db9 for a while. I'm 5'6 170lbs. Looking at getting the alien Gear Photon for the modularity. Iwb or owb with just a few screws moved. Any tips for me carrying a full size gun.
I just went from a db9 iwb set up to a g23. And honestly I don't think it's much harder to conceal. Appendix carries and hides well but if youre doing a lot of up and down movement you definitely know it's there. 4-5 o clock carry carries well but my issue is if you lean over much my shirt gets caught up on the grip. Super quick and easy to fix but still happens. I'm using a kydex iwb holster

I can’t speak for other people but unfortunately I’ve been in a few and I’ll always carry a light on mine. Most of the guys I know with a CAR carry a light on their pistols and all the LEOs I know also pretty much all carry a light on their guns as well. Now this is also anecdotal data so keep that in mind lol Ultimately though carrying a gun stock will not make you a better shooter and carrying a gun with accessories will not make you a better shooter either.
I don’t have a x300 yet….. mostly Streamlight and olight. I just can’t justify a $300 flashlight…… yet!
Once you cross over it’s game set match! 😂
Most of my lights are Surefire, I only have 1 Streamlight and that’s on my Glock 26m, when you get Surefire you get the best there is.
I said the same thing until I actually bought one and tested it out. Now it’s my go to for my full sized set ups. 😆
X300 is on sale today 7/6 on PSA for $100 off. $214 plus tax.
5’6 130lbs with a G45 with a RDS and a TLR7 HL-X. And don’t have to dress like a moron. One gun. Also plastic clips bad.
Fr I carry a ruger lcr at work because it’s so much easier than my Taurus GX4. And if I feel dapper on a day off I carry the beretta 96.
Ya, I'm able to "forget" about the shield plus sometimes, but never a standard 4in compact.
Just came across your channel, i love it dude, keep the hustle up, inspires me to continue my shit
Much appreciated! 🙏🏽🫡
Hey man, appreciate the video. Which holster model is that on the P01?
It’s a Tier 1 axis slim 🤟🏽
You have to have the right body size for a IWB setup like that, 2 full mags of 9 and the gun weight for skeletons like me is ridiculous. Single stack with the most simple IWB kydex was more comfortable than anything I've carried. That's why those all look brand new... 😜😂 Wearing one of those tier one concealed with sweatpants would be hilarious to see.
Great point
Exactly 🙏🏽
Instead of carrying the biggest gun you can conceal, carry the smallest gun you can shoot well
I still dont have a dot on my pistol, but I've stopped carrying with a wml because its just so unbelievably more comfortable. I just carry a better flashlight in my offhand pocket, and I'm looking at getting a light with a Thyrm Switchback explicitly to make shooting much more user friendly
Marketing over mastery
Yeah, it does get better as you get used to it, but it’s not like wearing a watch or a hat where it doesn’t register after a day or two. The only time I get close to not really feeling it is with my basic g19 setup while standing.
#Neverforget... #StayReady
There's a lot of money sitting on that bench.....nice pieces!
🙏🏽🤟🏽
I don’t “forget” but I definitely stop feeling it. I carry a Glock 20 mostly. always appendix. I stop feeling it the same as a wallet in my back pocket or a watch on my wrist. Unless it’s digging into you, it just feels like some extra weight that you stop noticing after awhile
I am moving towards no light and no dot with my day time summer carry. The rest of the year I carry a MR920 with 507c and x300.
Nice setup and good info. If you forget you're strapped then thats awhole nother problem lol. Another great video champ. Keep em coming
i will still never understand peoples obsession with lights
Agreed people love to carry full load outs. I just carry a small handgun. I don’t live in a war torn region where I need a maxed out Glock
And what's funny is WHEN IT GOES DOWN u ain't using none of that shit HA HA HA HA HA HA
@@TheRealZJM377 you realize you can still see when it’s dark right.
Also I’m specifically referring to you concealed carry not your house gun. There is no logical reason to put anything on your carry gun. Most of anything you can do to it will never change the outcome and probably won’t even be used.
I like using my canik tp9 elite sc with a cya iwb holster. It gets comfortable carrying in the appendix postion and easy to grab.
I personally hate surefire lights because of the size. Why do I need 2 1/2 to 3 in of light hanging off the front of the gun?
SIG P365 in a Vedder Pocket holster in my front pant pocket. It's on me 16 hours a day in total comfort. I still notice that I'm carrying.
You should do a series on carry guns and concealed carry mechanics.
How to find the ideal firearm for your body size.
How do you sit or bend so comfortably carrying appendix??
I've been interested in trying leather! A little afraid of the holster softening and bending enough over time to engage the trigger.
🫡🙏🏽
Lol great comparison to Tim’s also after watching your videos I picked up another MC nine definitely love this channel my dude keep the content coming
Only time I forget I’m carrying is when I have my P3AT in my pocket…. Every thing else I can feel at all times
Have you seen the new canik full flush extended mags compatible with mc9 and tp9 elite sc? I feel like they do this change, without swaping a full grip
Good video bro. I hate when people say “bro, I forgot I had it on me”. Like how?! 😂
Can you swim with the MC9 too?
I have gone fishing and to the beach with it can confirm it will be just fine if you end up in the water with it lol shoots just fine even with the sand! 🙏🏽
Tlr7a is the best light on the market because of the buttons. Wish they made tlr1a with those buttons
Not having a WML is way more comfy and I do not feel like having the weapon light is such a big deal on EDC but it is a loss in capability but makes me more likely to have the gun in the first place, so not unimportant to have a light but for me pushes the gun past the point of being too uncomfortable
You’re right about that. Old habits hard to kill tho for me lol
What brand Holster is that for your canik
That’s a Hilliker holster
What holster did you have the mc9 in?
Hilliker Holster 👍🏾
I always carry, so at any moment I think about it I know Im carrying. Is there times i don’t feel it anymore because its so comfortable? Hell yeah! All the time. Outside the waistband simple leather holster and Taurus G2C.
Them lights are way to big for me On my way! A wide guy so I have no problem concealing but the x300 is just to big I'm prefer my light and barrel to sit flush or as close to
people make things too complicated.
I don't "forget" I'm carrying, but I'm not always aware of my gun. A good setup and thousands of hours carrying will do that
Hmmm I’m not entirely sure I agree, but the way you presented this topic is very well spoken. I’m gonna subscribe.
You are correct i think they only gun i forget that I'm carrying it's my EC9s but that's because it's small, no light or red dot.
What is a "leisure carrier?"
Leasure carry. It’s a beltless system that lets you carry with shorts and sweatpants. Definitely check them out!
Just found your channel love the honesty!
What are the grip bands?
Spot on!
is that gaffers tape for grip?
All my 4 inch compact I can carry All day no problem except minor adjustments getting in and out of car i do know they are there. I have 3 380 that I do pat myself to check that it's there because so small and light.
Yessir 🤙🤙🫡🫡🥶🥶 I carry with a rig like the Phlster enigma most comfortable for me
I forget my titanium J frame. The gun is lighter than the bullets.
@@t.wilson8946 after carrying the gun for a few weeks I believe it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be will a full size. Although I do think I need to get some padding for the back of the holster against my skin. It digs into my pelvic bone so dang bad. I have holster set up to hold the gun as high as possible too.
Very much the opposite of a tattoo😂
Who tf forgets they’re carrying a gun on them? No matter the size, that’s the strangest shit I’ve ever heard.
You'd be surprised. How many so-called "parents" have you heard leaving their kids in the backseat of their cars 😢 to just die
@@MrTee12 that’s a good point 💯
You absolutely get to a point where you forget that it’s there.
Becomes more likely the busier I get, as well.
It only started happening once I made the setup comfortable (good belt, correct wedge, right holster placement).
I have bought pistols with every intention of keeping it stock for carry😂😂 within 6 months they always end up loaded with red dots and flashlights😂😂 I just wear a big shirt😂
The "footprint" of pistols with all that junk bolted on would put Sasquatch to shame, LOL...🤣
Maybe instead of trying to use so many dodads as crutches, one might spend enough time on the range to develop confidence in one's skill instead of gadgets...
Im fairly confident I can outshoot you even on my worse days. Shit im willing to bet i can do it one handed! Let’s put some money up! 👀
Gadgets or no gadgets i shoot more than the average person bro lol these “gadgets” don’t help you shoot better just training does.
I carry a g 42 with a technaclip in my shorts and I still remember it’s there lol
You carry a Glock with no holster in a shorts pocket?
So basically carry a smaller, lighter, thinner CCW if you want to be more comfortable LOL
You gotta be a total fool if you don’t know you got a full size gun on you
What holster is that for your MC9?
Nvm I just saw someone ask the same question...
Thanks brother
Foos that never been in a real shootout always carry a light on their EDC I never understood that but to each their own
Hey Bud.. You shouldn’t care
I can’t speak for other people but unfortunately I’ve been in a few and I’ll always carry a light on mine. Most of the guys I know with a CAR carry a light on their pistols and all the LEOs I know also pretty much all carry a light on their guns as well. Now this is also anecdotal data so keep that in mind lol
Ultimately though carrying a gun stock will not make you a better shooter and carrying a gun with accessories will not make you a better shooter either. It’s all about your training. Find what works for you and train with it! 🙏🏽
@@TheGunGuy77 I don’t I’m speaking my mind , Sorry I ruffled Your feathers if I didnt You wouldn’t of responded
@@EvRyDayCarry I’m not a fan of carrying w/ a light either but this past year I’ve become comfortable w/ it.. your comment didn’t bother me sir but trying to read what you said did😂 Have a Nice night

any recommendations for a good gun safe? as of now i only have my edc so havent looked for any but ima get more soon but i wanted to have a safe ready before i get more.
You need it to be portable? If you don’t need it to be portable and you’re looking to buy a safe just to keep your guns locked up I would get some budget ones off of Amazon. Some guys may argue not to but unless you’re spending thousands of dollars on a premium safe any safe you get isn’t going to prevent someone from picking it or getting inside of it or taking it if they break in. Can you make it harder? Sure but still it’s not gonna stop them. So don’t be afraid to look on Amazon.
I bought several of these before I bought my first Liberty and they’ve been solid.

@@dariuskincaid no just for at home and to make sure no accidents happen since I have a younger sister. I'm barely starting out buying guns so I don't have that many and I just need something worth the while, thanks

If you carry all of the time, you know that you're carrying all the time.
maybe, until you go to tie your shoe laces lol
All that I forget that I’m carrying a gun is a crock of S***. I carry a gun every single day and whoever says this is lying to themselves.
Yuuuuur !
I’ve carried an Olight for a couple of years now. There isn’t anything wrong with them. It’s a stinking pocket flashlight not critical military gear.
If you're carrying on the side, I might be able to understand it; however, if you carry appendix, where everytime you have to sit down, bend down, kneel, etc., you will come into contact with your gun. There is no possible way to me that if you carry appendix, you forget you're carrying your gun. Whoever says otherwise, I am sorry.
I carry a full glock 19 with everything and honestly sometimes i do forget im its thier like i always know i have my gun but sometimes i just dont feel the weight or anything but i carry everything day for 9 hours so maybe im just use to it same with my mini fixed blade
Only if its in an OWB 😂😂😂
I forget through out the day im carring a gun on me. Not with a fullsize gun cuz i dont carry one but my p365 with a reddot while working i forget its ever there
What Gerber tool is that?
He said it was a Leatherman
You forgot Sig Sauer
