    Hi I changed fuel filter in my gsr600 and after 20 miles it won't start againg. I've noticed that after I disconnect fuel line from the tank fuel is dripping out and I don't think it was before.

    Is this pump still performing as it should now? I have seen mixed reviews. I need a new one but I have a hard time spending over 700 on an oem pump.

      Yes. I've had 2 of there pumps now. 1 is in my 07 1000rr and it's a year and half old now and 3k miles and still working great. This one has been working great and few hundred miles on it so far.

      @Jc-kq2lw still going strong. Never had any issues with their pumps in any of my bikes. My 1000rr is going on 3 years now.

    I added some lucas fuel treatment and i noticed at a stop light it surges a little and when i take off it surges and hesitates a little. Do you think my pump is going bad? It has 34,000 miles on the original pump. I might just order this pump and hope that helps. Thanks for this video!

      Could be a simple vacuum leak around the air box. Sounds more of a air leak issue.

      Housing on your fuel pump has a strainer hidden in top of plastic ,near FPR ,they need cleaning as well as replacing strainer at bottom of pump waste of time swapping pumps without either cleaning or replacing these 2 strainers wich are on all fuel pump assembly's

    I broke a lil piece of black plastic where you connected the positive wire from the pump would that cause it to not start the bike or could it be the regulator?

    • @shadowbox813
      @shadowbox813  Год назад

      Yes. Without a good connection you'll start having prime and start issues.

    I just replaced my fuel pump with a quantum, when I put it back into the tank it will prime and allow the bike to start but soon after the fuel fuse blows. Any ideas?

      @@joshuadavis903 nah I replaced the fuel fuse(10A) with a 15A, not recommended but I’ve been riding the bike ever since with no issues or melted wires

    Did it come with the top small metal part that connects to the fuel filter housing?

    • @shadowbox813
      @shadowbox813  Год назад

      Yes it does. Everything you seen here came with it. I only recommend going back with the stock wiring connector.

    Idk if you still respond, but I’m having trouble. it seems that the fuel sensor float is like upside down on mine. i seen that your float (at it's resting state) is hanging down, but mine isnt like that, it's like the opposite.

    • @shadowbox813
      @shadowbox813  Год назад

      That's just how mine was originally. Is yours a 06/07?

    • @v1z3
      @v1z3 Год назад

      @@shadowbox813 yeah it is. I got a donor fuel pump from a friend, the float is facing downwards like in the video, but now the fuel light is flashing and sometimes solid even though it’s a full tank

    • @Nightdare
      @Nightdare 2 месяца назад

      I know this is a year later, but just for future reference for other people: you probably got a 1000 pump, it's basically the same except the float
      (I know because my 1K pump failed on the dyno, and the tuner only had a K6/7 600/750 pump assembly lying around, all we had to do was change the float)

    • @v1z3
      @v1z3 2 месяца назад

      @@Nightdare hey, I got it fixed, somehow the float rod got pushed over the little pin that doesn't allow it to orient to that rotation. So I just pushed it back over the pin and it works perfectly now lol.

    • @shadowbox813
      @shadowbox813  2 года назад +1

      I think it's just by preference or by need be. Mine was still good but went to a new one anyways. I normally see myself replacing oem pumps on most bikes here in the states around 25-30k miles.
