Thank you for your enlightening posts. I am a survivor of SA (incest), SRA (satanic ritual abuse) & 2 rapes. It has been a lengthy recovery process that continues to this day (I'm 73) I can still be triggered at times and am getting close to what I call the core of the onion. Thanks for these videos, I too was a product of CSA, however my abuser was an elder in the church. He was also abusing his stepdaughter that was my age in their home. He got caught, but didn’t get prosecuted, church covered it, but revoked his privileges. Apparently, when I was young, I had to go in front of at three man board to discuss what happened to me, they allowed my mom to be there, but I did not tell them everything. I only admitted to the make out session at the time. I do not remember this meeting at all. My mom and I were talking about it last month bc I couldn’t remember having to face these grown men, abd I didn’t realize I told when it happened to me, I thought I waited a few years, and she was telling me how I was crying hysterically, and I mentioned he put his hands in our pants and on our chest, and she said, “our”, and I said yeah, me and Stephanie. My mother turned him in again to their church headquarters, bc I never mentioned she was being abused as well, and the church finally said I could prosecute if I wanted. This is decades later, 35 years ago. So children do not tell everything, and for me it was super traumatic and I don’t think I was at a place where I could admit the full extent of what happened to me. Then 2.5 years later violently SA’d by a classmate. It’s sad that children who experience these things, a lot of them experience it again. 💔 Thanks again for your support and valuable insight from your professional experience, more ppl like yourself are needed in this space. CSA is extremely common place, the more I have spoken about what happened to me, the more I realized it’s everywhere. I have not found many woman who haven’t experienced some form of SA.
I’m so very sorry. Children sometimes hold back and do not tell everything. The act itself is traumatizing. Perhaps you only handle telling some things. That is not unusual. 🙏🙏🙏
Thank you for advising against going to your church for help! I know first hand that is the worse thing to do! The pastor who met with me told me the reason I was suffering from that abuse was because “ I enjoy the SA” I was so devastated that he swept the attack under the rug because the perpetrators were missionaries from thier church! Considering all the pressure that is being brought to bear on this and considering the perpetrator is feeling this pressure, do they stop this behavior for a season? Or is the proclivity towards it so strong they will act again even with all the pressure and focus? My concern is other children could be victims while this is all playing out. As a Christian I believe true repentance is possible but the consequences still exist (i.e., legal conviction, personal shame, humility, sorrow over their actions) however if the coverup continues with no legal action or exposure how likely is the person to commit similar acts?

I know a situation where it was a stepbrother SA his stepsister , he has always been the golden child of the family, when she told her aunt in confidence it started a whole lot of uproar in family where the young girl retracted because of division in family , it all went against her , I was so sadden by this I believe her the family are all in denial standing with the golden child who is know a man , he is much older then her and has been through many relationships that never seem to last , he is now married he has children of his own , boys I pray for the dark to come to the light in this situation for healing for this young woman today

Considering Texas law, the accusation against Pete and the child not speaking, could the police have questioned him instead of closing the case? Or could he have just remained silent? Or even still, what could they have done to get him to speak?

You nailed it. He was absolutely grooming her by exposing himself. I am curious about the types of statements he made to Baby Lamb to keep her quiet. Some children looking back say they went along with the abuse so that the offender would still love them.

Depends on the nature of the crime (touching versus penetration) and the jurisdiction where the crime was committed. Each state has their own laws with sentencing guidelines.
A man I know committed SA on boys, no penetration, while they were in daycare. He got LIFE in prison. (central Illinois). Someone told me that the reasoning for the Life sentence is that the perpetrator doesn't really believe they are doing wrong and will likely do it again.
I want to thank you for doing these. My automatic response is to protect the child no matter what. I am still appalled with Joni and Marcus covering for the perpetrator.
Thank you Vanessa! 84% of the time it will be someone close to the family..a relative, friend, babysitter, etc. The proximity allows the perpetrator time to groom the victim.
I've been really following this whole Day Star situation which totally breaks my heart and I know that for me personally these exposures are so important and actually because this situation has triggered my own childhood because I told on my step-dad and the realities for me was that because I spoke up I was 12 and my experience was having my sister's who this man was their biological father turned me away as if something was wrong with me in fact the words my oldest sister told me was my dad did that to you cuz your not his biological daughter and those relationships for me were lost because they couldn't handle my presence speaking out on a daddy they loved and wanted to pay attention to them. I experienced the CPA counselor literally blaming me for that man's abuse on me like the counselor the state assigned to counsel me and my step-dad in the same meeting no less they made me sit with the man who hurt me with a state counselor and that counselor asked me " look how old you are and why would you sit on your father's lap at this age and not expect him to react in a sexual manner didn't I know better" yea didn't I know better¿? So what I got out of speaking up was blamed, blamed by my step+dad for having a big mouth is what he said, blamed by my sisters for not being his biological daughter and blamed my the State appt. Counselor wanting to know why I created the situation by sitting on his lap as if I had a choice in that. I'm 56 now and I'm telling you Joni those events and the blame from family and that really messed up counselor has effected every relationship I've ever had and it stole Innocent from me and set me up to consistently accept blame for abusive actions you know like look what YOU made ME do to you. So I'm so thankful and grateful for many speaking up for this little Lamb cuz trust me when I tell you this event in her life will impact her entire life and all her relationships going forward and you know what's going to be the most difficult for her is that her own Grandma didn't see her as important enough to protect and her aunt Rachael who seems more like she hates her niece, for ruining her life by telling on her husband instead of Rachel protecting her and for you Rebecca you sit in silence when you know the truth and your niece will grow up wondering why this horrid event in her life was all her fault somehow because NO ONE in her family other than Mom and Dad thank God for that is protecting her. You may ask me how do you know? I told you how I know and the better question here is WHY on earth would all y'all protect the wrong person and not be a covering of protection for the children in your family? And here's a more frightening reality.. y'all have other children in your family and your not protecting them either in fact with all the insane shit your doing to protect Josh... His name is Josh not Pete and your providing Josh with the power to victimize the other children in your family because Y'ALL are more interested in protecting Josh then the little children in your family and God forbid if Josh is feeling empowered to SA other children he comes into contact with right there in the Day Star setting, bet Josh is getting a real hard on with that open invitation and just think y'all are doing that in the name of Jesus no less absolutely disgusting.

The little girl in me my friend is screaming out don't you see what y'all are doing to your own family and this little girl whom you can't erase what happened to her but by NOT protecting her your telling this little mama she is dirty and has no adult in her life to protect her I'm telling you from one who's experienced this first hand it EFFECTS EVERYTHING IN YOUR LIFE. so please do use the story and like I said maybe just maybe it will shake loss that demonic stronghold over this family. Please, please, teach about what grooming is ,as this knowledge will help many families in their attempt to protect their children from an sa. A family member of mine works in a facility where they have given insight about what grooming is ; so that the people working in the school we’ll be able to identify any kind of sa , should a student come up to them asking them for help. However, unfortunately, the general public does not know about the grooming that happens that causes SA ; and if the public was better informed , many more children could be living in safety . I have contacted two ministries that i support that broadcast on Daystar. The silence is deafening. It grieves me, may this child have justice. The Lord is at hand. Fear God, He is a consuming fire.
My son was sexually abused and i did not know. He was only 4. The way i found out is he complained to me about his bottom hurting when he used the bathroom. Which prompted me to take him to our dr. Dr found fissures in his bottom and child protective services were immediately involved. There was an investigation and they interviewed people, including close relatives, and had my son in a room with myself and two case workers, and my son. They had him play out what happened with the dolls. They were all different in color. It was so hard. We got through a very hard time. But sadly, 38 years later, my son still has difficulties emotionally.
wondering what joni went thru as a child..😮 Her real personality and values have been revealed now. I have a pic of joni with 5 of the 7 grandchildren who are all laughing/smiling except..the Little Lamb, troubling pic. The short video of joni that plays now on ministry now reveals a very unhappy woman, is an intro to her book. She should have divorced and taken it all..too many yrs to spend sad, angry and resentful.😮
@DaffneyJ-m1t thats possible, she should have divorced him and taken it all. Theres usually 3 sides..each one and the truth. Doesnt pay to put $ ahead of where it belongs, in the checkbook. Deviousness starts out small one thing at a time and grows big and becomes commonplace. Scales on ones eyes.

I’ve also thought maybe they started out with sincere intentions but got lost a long the way as money can be very corrupting. My final thought is Joni has always troubled me but I began to watch her program post affair. She appears disconnected from what she is saying as if she is just going through the motions. Her heart doesn’t appear to be in it. Just my 2 cents.
Is it advisable to file a police report in a situation like the beach house with Suzy's little girl. Debbie Linehardt (Pete's forensic counselor) said that was a time to file a police report. I think almost everyone would not think that was a time to file a report...Clearly something was off, but he wasn't touching her at that point, he possibly said he "wanted to see the view" and that's why he went to her room, etc. Could you do a video on educating us on times and instances in which a police report is advisable?
In hindsight I suppose we could agree it would have been wise to file a report at that time. But not really necessary. The identification of the offender is key here. Once that is made by the child I hope they reopen the investigation.
What is not addressed is the problem of abuse, that when a church organisation or group, opens up the door to that and its allowed to continue with no repercussions, it opens up the door for criminals to target that church, that it can set a parth for crime syndicates to follow. One child that goes through it, is one too many, but there are so many children that go through it, and no one says anything for the other children. This is a global problem that must be addressed.
Vanessa, I have grown children and now grandchildren so I’m old enough to not care what anyone thinks if I say, “No.” How can younger parents feel empowered to say no when their gut tells them they should but the other person (who oddly wants time with their child) keeps pressing or won’t take no for an answer? Can you speak on red flags parents should look out for? I feel so many well meaning and good parents are ill equipped in these situations from the start.
It is evil for the mom to cover up their child being abused and taking the pedophiles side!! I pray that the children will get justice and also be safe.
I never worked in Texas so I don’t know any. I’m praying I get the opportunity to get connected though. I hope there is an investigation going as we speak.
@ thank you for responding. We were in Florida and they have some crazy laws about “child on child” even considering huge age gaps. When brought to the parents they went mia then denied anything wrong. It continued to happen. We had to move. DCF was called, they lawyered up.
Sadly, manyyyyy children have no one to talk to when your raised in a cult & when your older, your told, what took you so long😢 to then, after trying to understand why no one helped, it's why many are upset because another child is not being helped because she won't say a name per Shane From promise keepers 😢 The child told what happened & they all know & now, another child will believe abuse is love and of Christ Jesus & it's not 😢

That is a great question. It’s hard to tell whether such an offender would continue offending while there is such a spotlight on him.

I know a situation where it was a stepbrother SA his stepsister , he has always been the golden child of the family, when she told her aunt in confidence it started a whole lot of uproar in family where the young girl retracted because of division in family , it all went against her , I was so sadden by this I believe her the family are all in denial standing with the golden child who is know a man , he is much older then her and has been through many relationships that never seem to last , he is now married he has children of his own , boys I pray for the dark to come to the light in this situation for healing for this young woman today

Considering Texas law, the accusation against Pete and the child not speaking, could the police have questioned him instead of closing the case?

If an alleged perpetrator is convicted, how long are they kept off the streets?
Depends on the nature of the crime (touching versus penetration) and the jurisdiction where the crime was committed. Each state has their own laws with sentencing guidelines.
A man I know committed SA on boys, no penetration, while they were in daycare. He got LIFE in prison. (central Illinois). Someone told me that the reasoning for the Life sentence is that the perpetrator doesn't really believe they are doing wrong and will likely do it again.
I want to thank you for doing these. My automatic response is to protect the child no matter what. I am still appalled with Joni and Marcus covering for the perpetrator.

I've been really following this whole Day Star situation which totally breaks my heart and I know that for me personally these exposures are so important and actually because this situation has triggered my own childhood because I told on my step-dad and the realities for me was that because I spoke up I was 12 and my experience was having my sister's who this man was their biological father turned me away as if something was wrong with me in fact the words my oldest sister told me was my dad did that to you cuz your not his biological daughter and those relationships for me were lost because they couldn't handle my presence speaking out on a daddy they loved and wanted to pay attention to them. I experienced the CPA counselor literally blaming me for that man's abuse on me like the counselor the state assigned to counsel me and my step-dad in the same meeting no less they made me sit with the man who hurt me with a state counselor and that counselor asked me " look how old you are and why would you sit on your father's lap at this age and not expect him to react in a sexual manner didn't I know better" yea didn't I know better¿? So what I got out of speaking up was blamed, blamed by my step+dad for having a big mouth is what he said, blamed by my sisters for not being his biological daughter and blamed my the State appt. Counselor wanting to know why I created the situation by sitting on his lap as if I had a choice in that. I'm 56 now and I'm telling you Joni those events and the blame from family and that really messed up counselor has effected every relationship I've ever had and it stole Innocent from me and set me up to consistently accept blame for abusive actions you know like look what YOU made ME do to you. So I'm so thankful and grateful for many speaking up for this little Lamb cuz trust me when I tell you this event in her life will impact her entire life and all her relationships going forward and you know what's going to be the most difficult for her is that her own Grandma didn't see her as important enough to protect and her aunt Rachael who seems more like she hates her niece, for ruining her life by telling on her husband instead of Rachel protecting her and for you Rebecca you sit in silence when you know the truth and your niece will grow up wondering why this horrid event in her life was all her fault somehow because NO ONE in her family other than Mom and Dad thank God for that is protecting her. You may ask me how do you know? I told you how I know and the better question here is WHY on earth would all y'all protect the wrong person and not be a covering of protection for the children in your family? And here's a more frightening reality.. y'all have other children in your family and your not protecting them either in fact with all the insane shit your doing to protect Josh... His name is Josh not Pete and your providing Josh with the power to victimize the other children in your family because Y'ALL are more interested in protecting Josh then the little children in your family and God forbid if Josh is feeling empowered to SA other children he comes into contact with right there in the Day Star setting, bet Josh is getting a real hard on with that open invitation and just think y'all are doing that in the name of Jesus no less absolutely disgusting.

A family member of mine works in a facility where they have given insight about what grooming is ; so that the people working in the school we’ll be able to identify any kind of sa , should a student come up to them asking them for help.
However, unfortunately, the general public does not know about the grooming that happens that causes SA ; and if the public was better informed , many more children could be living in safety . Thank you for your help in this matter , and may God bless you for stepping out to help the innocent.

My son was sexually abused and i did not know. He was only 4. The way i found out is he complained to me about his bottom hurting when he used the bathroom. Which prompted me to take him to our dr. Dr found fissures in his bottom and child protective services were immediately involved. There was an investigation and they interviewed people, including close relatives, and had my son in a room with myself and two case workers, and my son. They had him play out what happened with the dolls. They were all different in color. It was so hard. We got through a very hard time. But sadly, 38 years later, my son still has difficulties emotionally.

Is it advisable to file a police report in a situation like the beach house with Suzy's little girl. Debbie Linehardt (Pete's forensic counselor) said that was a time to file a police report. I think almost everyone would not think that was a time to file a report...Clearly something was off, but he wasn't touching her at that point, he possibly said he "wanted to see the view" and that's why he went to her room, etc. Could you do a video on educating us on times and instances in which a police report is advisable?
In hindsight I suppose we could agree it would have been wise to file a report at that time. But not really necessary. The identification of the offender is key here. Once that is made by the child I hope they reopen the investigation.

What is not addressed is the problem of abuse, that when a church organisation or group, opens up the door to that and its allowed to continue with no repercussions, it opens up the door for criminals to target that church, that it can set a parth for crime syndicates to follow. One child that goes through it, is one too many, but there are so many children that go through it, and no one says anything for the other children. This is a global problem that must be addressed.

Vanessa, I have grown children and now grandchildren so I’m old enough to not care what anyone thinks if I say, “No.” How can younger parents feel empowered to say no when their gut tells them they should but the other person (who oddly wants time with their child) keeps pressing or won’t take no for an answer?

@ thank you for responding. We were in Florida and they have some crazy laws about “child on child” even considering huge age gaps. When brought to the parents they went mia then denied anything wrong. It continued to happen. We had to move. DCF was called, they lawyered up.
But child protective services are known for corruption too and police as well per some abused have warned..so what do we do then?
