I was molested as an 8yr old I had the good sense to go tell my mom and the police and those men were arrested I went to court, they went to prison. Praise Jesus. And I forgive them also as I was very hard on me for years but God is good and we were taught by Jesus to forgive. I'm 70 now still loving Jesus.

@@mrnice111 I’m sorry for you, that you cannot understand the life changing consequences of SA to victims.
I am now 73 and my memories are as if things happened yesterday. You sound bitter, don’t be. There is healing which is a gradual process but is never complete this side of heaven. Our Father is so grieved at such terrible sin that the Bible states what he thinks should be done to a perpetrator. No, we do not have the death penalty for this crime, but there is death as a result. The death of the soul and spirit of such victims. They never forget. I also think there is death within the perpetrators. They most likely have offended prior and will continue to offend. They don’t forget either. But their hearts are seared and cold to their deeds. What a difficult way to live. So there are two victims of each crime of SA. Sometimes the perpetrators is found out and sometimes never. Robert Morris was. He lied and tried to cover-up as also his “protectors” lied. Truth always wins out. Women don’t lie about this, there is so much shame that holds them captive most never tell. But for those that do it requires great courage. Cindy is one of those. I am thankful to hear this report which goes deep into the cover-up. I pray that God will use this all for his glory and that Robt Morris will one day be honest and repent.

@@HopeForBetter7STOP speaking what amounts to a curse. A Pastor is NOT the church. A bad Shepherd needs to be removed. The VICTIM needs to see justice. This church has done EVERYTHING POSSIBLE to be transparent. After all the CHURCH WORLDWIDE has been frequently accused in past years of covering up abuses. In light of the MANY coverups, it is wise for this church to show their determination NOT TO COVER UP this sin. Had it just been a sin against the church it might have been dealt with in house but child abuse DOES NOT QUALIFY. It is a SOCIETAL CRIME. AN ILLEGAL ACT against a child. BLESSINGS upon this church for their serious determination to clean house and right wrongs. May God bless them protect them and restore them and heal them of the pain of Robert's deceit and betrayal.

I am 75 years old and have a very sad story about my abuse. I only KNEW in my heart that my father was repulsive to me. The terrible shame of this abuse when l was very little was completely obliterated from my consciousness. To this day l have no remembrance of any details but l learned much about this dreadful, shameful disfunction while l fostered 30 + abused children. I addressed the issues with my dad before he died. He could NEVER refute or deny the abuse because he was such a good Christian and soo full of his own shame. We can never imagine how much children there are who have not and will never get acknowledged. For me, l have a wonderful Heavenly Father who knew me and formed me in my mother's womb. She hated me all her life. Interesting how our God never leaves us or forsaken us. When our mother and father forsake us, He will take us into His loving arms and hold and protect ❤️ ✨️ 💛

I really enjoyed Robert Morris's teaching on a Sunday evening.
I thought that the fact that Robert Morris had repented to the highest person about this issue. If God has forgiven Robert Morris no one has the right to question that. It's just the same if someone stole or cheated or got divorced. God sees sin in the same light, whether big or little. If we come to God in prayer and God forgives us. No one but no one can say otherwise because God has washed Roberts slate clean, so who are we to say otherwise. To do so is telling God he doesn't have that authority and that our decision is above his. People need to be careful here, the lady who had 5 husbands, remember the actions of Jesus. 🙏🙏🙌😇🙏

If anyone ever has a 12 year old in your life, I hope you pray, and hope they never have to SUFFER such criminal abuse. It's time we stop victimizing and demonizing victims. Good point. This crime was committed when Morris was the pastor of a much smaller church than Gateway. And it was covered up by the elders of that church. Wolves in sheep clothing can commit any sin anywhere, anytime to anyone. Set boundaries in the church and personal life, especially for our children. They can’t defend themselves. As true believers should know, there is a world view, and a kingdom view. In the world view, Pastor Robert Morris did a despicable thing when he sexually abused a young child. In the world view, he has been, and will continue to be, harshly punished for his immoral behavior, and from a world view, rightly so.
In the kingdom view, Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive all of our sins past, present, and future, both large and small. If we repent of our sins, trust and openly profess Jesus as our Lord and Savior, keep His commandments, and turn our lives over to Him, we will enter His kingdom, and be judged as to our rewards, not our salvation. Only God knows what rewards await Pastor Morris. But in the kingdom view, there will be rewards, not condemnation.
I am saddened to see that so much of the so called Christian community has, with regard to Pastor Morris, abandoned the kingdom view in favor of the world view. In so doing, they are telling us that Christ died for nothing. We must, as true believers remember that we are in the world, but no longer of the world, and as Romans 5:8 tells us: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” You either believe Scripture, or you don’t.

This church will fail within 30 years. Absolutely appalling handling and when you take the worlds way you get the worlds results, the favour on this church will fully lift. Apparently, Debbie believed Cindy seduced Robert, likely due to Robert's description of events, for which Debbie told Cindy she forgave her. This is not an uncommon belief among those who have the proclivity to commit such assaults. Their demons tell them the girls want the "attention." I do feel bad for Debbie, but she knew Cindy was underage. I'm most angry that ANYONE, EVER believed Robert should be a pastor. If repentance is genuine, you can be restored to the Body of Christ. However, there should never be an elder anywhere who would endorse such a one to pastorship. It doesn't pass Biblical muster. As for Cindy, my only issue with her is why the issue of money ever came out of her mouth. I've been a victim. I don't want you writing me a check! I *genuinely* feel confused and would like to hear points of view that may help me understand a differing perspective. What I’m hearing is, that as a 20 y/o, with Cindy’s family and other elders fully aware of what was going on (including her age - past elders did know as stated in this report), he followed the guidance of repenting, being gone for 2 years, and coming back to the ministry restored. Of course those around him should have handled holding him accountable differently (reported to police!) but at the time that sadly was not the case. Should he never have come back despite seemingly following the process set for him at the time? And if no one else has ever come forward, is it possible that is the fruit of his repentance several decades ago? It feels like many feel his sin should disqualify him for the rest of his life but that is not the principle set forth in scripture. I appreciate the structural changes to create more safeguards but I can’t help but wonder about the rest.

And how did that happen….God forgave, blessed and expanded his territory. The Morris family gave away homes, cars and etc of their own because God was with him. I am so sorry for what happened to the young lady and pray God heals her and helps her to forgive for her own sake. We have to forgive to be forgiven.
