    Great advice if the bunker has nice sand. Sometimes on public courses there's not much sand in the bunker and if you try it hit it with a wide open clubface you'll bounce into the ball and launch it over the green. Any advice for those situations?

    It would be helpful if you referred to front instead of left. I'm not a lefty golfer but still would find it easier to follow directions if front/back used instead of left/right (when referencing ball placement, weight emphasis, etc). Thanks for the detailed instructions & the logic to support them!

    Jonathan is not as popular as some online instruction, but HE SHOULD BE. I feel like he instructs in a more clear and understandable fashion, and he generally explains WHY we should do things a certain way. Just great.

    For understanding the proper technique it's excellent that you describe how your own feel is during the swing. That's additional information above what we can see in the video. Thank you very much for that!

    Thank you for this! After watching your video, I tried my bunker shot today and I was able get my ball out from a bunker at the first attempt. My husband saw me doing this and was super impressed!

    I had this shot this morning … big lip, not much green to work with, and …
    I used my 60 degree wedge (by mistake) 🙄
    It WORKED!
    (I heard you in my head) 😉
    Great instruction! 👍🏻

    Really nice video! Been following you for about a year and I'm glad you put in this segment b/c bunkers drive me bonkers! But that detailed explanation answered a lot of my questions and I can't wait to get out and practice with it!

    Probably the BEST explanation of hitting a greenside bunker shot. Thanks 🙏🏻
    But …
    I have a question:
    I think most people don’t open the clubface enough because it makes the clubface (leading edge) look very small … like I might hit the ball with the hosel (trying to get it under the ball)
    Do you have to try to get the TOE of the club under the ball when opening it up that much?
    Great stuff, JKM 👍🏻
    More, more, more (short game) please 🙏🏻

      I played golf today and was often in the bunker. I have applied your principles…..and I was not able to get out easily at all……My god this is so difficult in the sand.

    Cast the club, swing across the ball, cup your wrists, hit behind the ball Just basically do everything your not supposed to do with regular clubs lol

    Great stuff as usual. Besides changing different clubs for various distances, is there anything else in technique to fine tune the distance?

    This is wonderful sir, thank you very much for the explanation. One thing I will kindly ask, could you create a supplement or even a short about reading a lie in the bunker? I struggle when playing in tournaments evaluating the lie which can often dictate what kind of shot you play… firms sand, ball sitting down a bit etc. would be massively helpful

    Hello I wanted to ask if you can make a video about finding the swing plane for each golfer? High hands? Low hands or even of deep.

    Club face position in little sand or hard pan? Is it still best to be parallel?

  • @lc.uclakers

    Given that most of us play in public courses with bunkers with packed sand or very hard sand would the same mechanics apply?

    • @JKMGolf
      @JKMGolf  9 месяцев назад

      Yes same mechanics but no need to open the face so much if the sand is hard

  • @huygmail

    when you open the club face and lay it flat to the ground-- where is the club pointing to the target? At it or to the right? That's what I'm always confused about?

    • @JKMGolf
      @JKMGolf  9 месяцев назад

      its ok for it to point to the right slightly
