    • @AllysseMarie
      @AllysseMarie Год назад +4

      Safe at home is .25, .5mm max, 1-2x per week on clean hair and sterilizing the instrument afterwards. That’s what I’ve gathered from most of the docs I’ve been watching across the board. Also, slow and steady wins the race. People jump to the longer needles thinking the more abrasive and the the more frequent the better. NO 😟You can actually cause permanent trauma to the follicle and end up in a worse position. It takes time. If your follicles aren’t completely r.i.p then you’ll see some improvement over time 👍🏾

      1.5 mm is NOT too deep to be done at home. But 1) don't do more frequently than once every 2 weeks, given that its quite deep and need to give skin time to heal .. otherwise fibrosis in long term could be a risk. 2) the depth you do depends on whether you're looking to stimulate or for topicals absorption. If you doing for stimulation then you kinda wasting your time if you only did 0.5 mm (which is kinda common for at-home rollers) ... why? because all the hair's good stuff is in the reticular dermis which is at least 2.5 mm below surface of skin ... so you gotta get at least close to that ... there is almost nothing happening in the epidermis which is at least 1 mm thick ... the stratum corneum of epidermis (top epidermal layer) is only about 0.2 mm and is completely dead skin cells and forms the impermeable skin barrier ... which is where minimal depth rolling of about 0.25 to 0.5 mm could help absorption of topicals significantly

    • @god8348
      @god8348 11 месяцев назад

      @@nin1269Don’t buy a roller, buy a pen. Rollers can tear skin and it’s hard to be consistent. A proper pen is way better for consistency, effectiveness, and sanitation. Plus you can just swap the needles and accurately adjust your depth. 1.5mm doesn’t seem to be too deep, if you’re worried about scarring, increase the time between sessions or go no lower than 1mm if you actually want results. I can link you a good pen, but I don’t wanna seem like an ai shill
