How to properly say “I am from…” in Korean

❌ …에서 왔어요. “I came from…”
Only use this when you’re outside your country or town and literally “came” from that city/country to another.
⭕️ …사람이에요. - both nationality and ethnicity
⭕️ …출신이에요. - “my body is out of” : hometown
⭕️…에 살아요. - current place you are living
