    It’s easy to blame fluctuating confidence on chance or the unpredictability of the day’s events. But the truth is, probably 75% of your experience of the day comes down to your own habits. The deep, unconscious patterns you’ve established that govern the rhythm of your day-your energy levels, your mood, and your confidence.
    The good news is, once you realize that, you can create new habits that set you up for success. In this video, you'll learn about 5 daily habits you can develop to boost your confidence and improve your mood throughout the day.

    "Mornings didn't suck. I sucked at mornings." Loved it. Great content, buddy. I DEFINITELY agree with reading first thing in the morning. It melts any creeping anxiety. I'll take another look at Trello for projects. But yes, SLEEP is absolutely #1 and all habits live or die on the basis of sleep quality. A fairly rigorous nighttime habit stack (short exercise burst, banking, short skill video) have helped me exhaust my mind for bed. Also, Better than Before, I book I reviewed last was very insightful for habits. Thank you for this!

    I would suggest: Practice one habit at a time and be perfect; then add the other......

      I think that's a great suggestion, Suhaib! you're right that it's much more effective if you can add one habit at a time.

    The worry session is a great idea. I cherish my morning quiet time before everyone else is awake. I have to get up at 5:30am for it, but it's so worth it.

    Thanks for the video, you sumed up the most important moments, that may help people to feel and think healthier throughout the day, and the video is very friendly. These things that I have found myself years ago when I tried to improve my lifestyle, to feel eadier without exaustion and self-abuse. I have found the importance of the mornng silence and privacy, the time that I can devote to myself, relax and even sometimes I take a bath. To make morning a very pleasant time I started to wake up one or even two hours earlier than I used to, and went to sleep in the night also two hours earlier. It is important to go to sleep early, at least not later than 10 p.m., but I feel great if I go to bed by 9.00 p.m. or earlier. I think it is also important to go to bed at the same time every day. It is also good to exclude stressful activities on the time before going to sleep - no TV, less Internet etc. As for physical activities, besides the gym, I think, walking in the nature, watching the wildlife, gardening or at least looking after the house plants help a lot. I will share your video, and I hope to see more such videos dedicated to healthy lifestyle :) I think they can help many people. Wishing a great success, Karli

    Kyle (it is Kyle, right?) this is great. I do most of what you say in this video. You cover so much here, wow. It reminds me of the quote, "the unexamined life" is not worth living. This is not actually a comment-able video. What you say is well researched and incontrovertible (sp?) that I don't think there'll be a ton of comments. My suggestion is for people who don't do these things is to watch the video again and again...these are the keys to a productive and happier life. Also, if you don't do all these things, do them. If you do do all these things, start recognizing and being happy that you do do them.

    • @Thedistilledman1
      @Thedistilledman1  7 лет назад +5

      Hey Ken, yes it's Kyle. Thanks so much for the thoughtful comment. I appreciate the kind words! You're so right to bring up that quote about the "unexamined life." That's just it: so many people (most people, actually) are just on "autopilot" throughout the day--how they attack their todo's, how they react to situations, their self-talk...and most of the time, those automatic "programs" they're running don't do them any favors. And if they never take a moment to examine those fundamental rhythms of the day, they stay stuck where they are.

    • @kenlundstrom3047
      @kenlundstrom3047 7 лет назад +2

      How true. Switching gears slightly (but not too much actually), I noticed other fashion/advice videos that were not as insightful (or just an easier topic) got scores of comments and came out after this one. That might be because peoples' attention spans are stretched thin with all that's out there today on the internet (but strangely not too thin that they don't post easy, not thought provoking comments on the other videos). Or it could be that low information voters don't know that they're low information voters (to quote a popular radio personality). A study came out many decades ago and it was interesting because the vast majority considered themselves above average drivers (how can everyone be above average?) It adds up to the too common, deadly combination of ignorance and arrogance. I make sure not to fall prey to this by continuing to learn things I'm not good at, and recognizing those things. It's hard to take constructive criticism, but I do. I was just reading in Reader's Digest, the latest issue, about how dealing with difficult situations, and triumphing over them, makes us grow mentally, but most importantly keeps us young mentally. It exercises the brain. I'll bet so many people just skipped over this because it's hard to do the things in the video (but can be the best things one can ever do, and free of charge), but it's easy to put on a new variation of a Polo shirt, and prattle on about it for hours in the comments.

      I can relate. My day starts at 4AM, have to be at work 6:30AM-4:00PM, in a cubicle all day. While at work I walk around the entire office complex twice a day just so I'm doing something that resembles exercise. Work schedule sucks for riding bike in morning for several reasons, so I do that the three days of the week when I don't have to be at work. In summer I have to start my rides at 4:45AM so I don't literally get a heat stroke (it's still 85-90 degrees outside when I start) and to get 30 miles in I need a couple of hours since my usual rides involve 1,000 to 1,500 feet of climbing. Anyway, I basically have two different morning routines depending on what day of the week it is.
