One of my proudest moments was beating Extremoth with Long GL (worst weapon in the game at that time, but I thought it was good against him because of consistent 100 dmg with charged shots. Wide GL would've been a much better choice in hindsight). Excited to try it out again.
It is referred to as "slaplance" fatalis gl has such high raw that its just more effective to use the slam sweep combo. Its unfortunate cuz i love me some wide 7 but it is what it is.

Depends on the monster. For soloing Fatalis, yes it is the most optimal style.
how can you got 200 hp without heal boost on your stuff?

Gunlance really sucks because shelling is completely useless. Best to use regular lance because it's way more versatile
