everyone is commenting about you becoming big someday and it's kinda entertaining (in a positive manner/with playfulness) to see, because it's true :D. i also think this is the case, but that is because it makes sense to me logically - given the information i currently have, it seems only rational that it _will_ happen, assuming consistency remains :)

I’m confused: between your explanations between objectives and subjective and your example of this. (Regarding David sleeping in all the time)
I would of thought seeing David objectively, would mean, being more open to other explanations as to why he is always late and seeing David subjectively would mean seeing him through our own eyes and mind, and opinions, and so therefore, I believe David is always late; because he is just lazy, ((because whenever I am late, I too just don’t really want to go to work, because I prefer to be lazy than go to work))

Fantastic Video! But I am still wondering: How would fun and leisure connect to the six areas of resource allocation, or why aren't they of importance? Would really be interested in knowing the answer to this.

Just found your channel, wow! I'm only on your second vid but it appears you're taking a look at some common ideas and topics, that we can all relate to and that we've all heard much and many advices and approaches to. I like your angle, I like the refreshing and informative way you talk about these important topics and I like that you actually narrate your videos! And you do it well! Great find, keep it up! First of all, what an amazing channel!
I’ve been reading about feeling and needs in Robert Marshall’s Non Violent Communication recently. I find there is a significant overlap between needs and the 6-component model for goals. Marshall also talks describes emotions (feelings) being pleasant when our needs are satisfied or met and unpleasant when a need is unmet or ignored. It is interesting this has some parallels with how evolutionary psychology describes connections between two.

  • @No-Gumph

    Hi Lewis,
It's a really interesting topic. Becoming aware of the fundamental attribution error was so helpful in understanding how I viewed others and why others failed to understand me in most situations.
Take a step back. Put your feelings to one side. Don't make assumptions. Seek to understand instead.
I don't know about you, but when people talk about who they are I recognise for most people this is how they want me to think of them. I then observe their actions and in doing so I see who they truly are. I think a goal in life should be to ensure our words match our actions. In essence we seek to discover our core values and let them guide us in what we say and do. I think this is a route to remove much internal conflict and gain peace with our self.

The distinction between nomothetic and idiographic analysis is fascinating and critical for understanding human behavior on both general and personal levels. Embracing subjectivity in our approach to others while maintaining objectivity about ourselves allows for a richer, more nuanced understanding of human motivations. 🧠

For the lists (resource types , patterns like party animal etc, emotion versus goals), do these come from a book or other source? Alternatively a downlodable handout might be good. I've tried to scribble a few notes down anyway, it's useful stuff. Cheers!

  • @holypython4418
    @holypython4418 5 месяцев назад

3:20 isn't it the other way around in that example?
    Look,
You have the objective fact, that the other person is late
It is an objective fact, that you do not have the information, why he is late
That he is lazy, is an SUBJECTIVE Interpretation, since it is influenced by personal feeling / opinions
Objectivly the only option would be to say "I do not know why he is late"
Great video beside that tho, keep up the great work.
You have the potential to become a large RUclipsr, the quality is definitely there ❤
