Thanks for sharing your awesome collection! I have a huge collection myself, but it is mostly in garage shelves. One of the real keys to having a cool collection is the actual displaying of the collection. I keep thinking that when I retire from a 40-50 hour a week job, I will have time to build some cool shelving and lighting so I can get my collection inside the house to be seen more often.

@@stingray6016 thanks for watching and for the nice comments! I dreamed of having an insulator room since I was a kid. I like old fashioned fluorescent lighting overhead. It really brings out the glazes on the porcelain. I like the glass in a sunny window or a light cabinet works great also. Good luck getting your collection displayed the way you want it! 😁

Beautiful presentation! Great lighting, real care in the staging of your pieces.
I really appreciate the lack of pounding music and I appreciate the pace of your video so we can see all the qualities of the pieces. Well done!

Enjoyed your video, never knew there was such a variety of insulators. I see them every day where I live and can be found at yard sales and auctions. Northeastern Pennsylvania is loaded with old poles, mostly light blue glass or white porcelain, there are a few right in the center of town along the old railroad. They are fairly common here so I never thought of collecting them.

@@free2think650 Thanks for watching and for commenting! Many rare and valuable insulators have been found in Pennsylvania. Keep a lookout for anything colorful or unusual. Some are worth thousands of dollars to collectors. Let me know if you have any questions about them in the future 👍😁

@@HighVoltageAdventures How can I research and find some lines to start searching around my area? Knoxville Tennessee. Are there sites online to look through?

I have three Hemingray - 42. Clear, light blue tint, and a dark greenish one. I got them all at the same thrift store, in the last couple of years, for two to four dollars. I thought, three is a good number, and all different colors. Now I feel like I need a few more!
