    Might need you to draw me a picture to absorb all of that, Chris! Interesting review and yes, in these instances a sample/miniatures pack would be an excellent idea. Had to look up ‘pedunculate oak’: Quercus robur - English/European oak. Every day a school day an’ all that. Cheers.

    Educational review as always.
    I recently tasted the two where the barley is grown on different soils, aspects within the same farm and can vouch for how different they are. There is definitely something to be said regarding terroir in whiskies, as bruichladdich have banged on about it for years, and more recently, Waterford.
