To redefine the concept of reliability is to make them cheap enough that the consumer can buy a new one every six or seven years. When a new vehicle is not reliable we depend on it being cheaper than loaded with features so we can move on sooner to a new vehicle. Doesn't that sound right to everyone ??

Speaking strictly for myself, others are free to disagree, this isn't really what I want or need. I don't need tech, I don't need styling. I could use a small (meaning you don't have to be 6'4" to open the hood or to lift a lawn mower up to the tailgate), reliable, powerful enough to not be a danger to itself when merging into traffic if the AC is running at the same time, truck that doesn't need to have the engine unbolted from its mounts to change the spark plugs. Need to see the end product (i.e., will this be another truck that if the brake light bulb burns out the computer won't let you start the engine?)

Exactly where are you seeing those trucks selling for those prices? $8K to $10K for a pickup? Not in the US.
