Longtime Deering Banjo artist "Mean Mary" James stopped by our shop and played some tunes for us. Here she is playing her original instrumental tune "Sugar Creek Mountain" with her brother Frank James accompanying her on guitar. Mary is playing a Deering Goodtime Blackgrass 5-string banjo.

She is such an amazing and original player! I have a Blackgrass banjo as a backup for my John Hartford model. It's quite good, and in no way sounds cheap, and as you can determine, I prefer wood-rimmed banjos. I agree that a tab of this would please a lot of us.
