Thank you for trying this for everyone! I’ve contemplated making my own mozzarella in the past, and now that I’ve seen it done, I feel more confident trying it myself. I’m hoping to get a dairy goat in the future, and this gives me something else to do with the milk!
I love your channel and all the fun, tasty foods you try out. Keep up the excellent work!

Fairlife Milk is ultra-pasteurized and you cannot use ultra-pasteurized milk. They mentioned this a couple of times in the video, and I've read the same in cheese recipes.

Thanks for the video. I had not yet read all the comments, so apologies if someone else has suggested this idea. Amazon sells nylon nut milk bags. They can be used for cold brew coffee, almond milk, cheese, or Greek yogurt. I bought a pack but have not yet tried them. I'm hoping they will be less sticky and absorbent than cheese cloth, as well as easier to clean and reuse. They have cotton ones, also, but I think the nylon would perform better.

Success doesn't teach you anything. Mistakes do, therefore they really can't be "failures".
Oh! I know, different food, but it's cheese, right?
Last night I decided I wanted a chaffle, but didn't have any mutz, soooooo... I used FINELY shredded Mexican 4 cheese blend. I didn't measure out using a measuring cup, because I've already figured out that about 4 oz. of cheese makes 1 cup, so I find it faster, and one less thing to clean, by just popping my bowl onto my kitchen scale... Let me tell you, they came out SO crispy, it wasn't even funny. Absolute crunch, every bite, but still fluffy inside. I didn't even use Lupin flour, because I'm waiting for that to be delivered... They were delicious, as well, of course! Perfect for open-face bacon cheeseburgers or BLTs.

I made it and it was such an epic failure! The curds set nicely and looked all good in the cheesecloth. Maybe I didn't let it drain long enough, but it didn't want to be heated and became all slimy and not right. I think I'll use the curd nerd recipe next. It's a bit more involved, but maybe that's what I need 🤣. Mind you, we just put the whole mess in garlic oil and use it as a spread - very more ish! Thanks always for your vids. Love watching them.

glorious homemade cheese! And yeah, the portions per package of things like the citric acid and rennet is pretty much a wash in the long run. GG!

Okay, at 5:50, you're reminding me a bit much of Dr. No with the black gloves over his mechanical hands thing. Anyway, the process reminds me a bit of making tofu. What I'm about to say is found literally nowhere on RUclips or anywhere else: to make fool-proof tofu, ALWAYS heat the mixture in a double boiler setup, which is a pot within a pot. When I do that, my tofu comes out right every time. My pot is full of the thickest curds ever. Next time, do this using a double boiler.

I have seen recipes where you do not need rennet for making Mozza cheese which I have done.. but one thing i notice in your video as well as some other but not all videos show you to warm the cheese in the whey to to the stretching. I am not sure why some don't show that because it does make the cheese turn out nicer.

in the directions of the rennet package will tell you how to make american mozzarella ... i use organic liquid instead of junket because the curd sets up in 45 min. to one hour consistently ... you will love using the microwave to get the cheese to spin (stretch) .... i make a 4 gallon batch once or twice a week (we have our own cows/ jersey & guernsey) i get about one pound of cheese per gallon depending on where in the lactation we are ... if you save the whey over night & heat it to 185 degrees in the morning , let it cool then strain it you've just made whey ricotta with the same gallon of milk !!! ... if you use pasteurized milk you probably want to use a little calcium chloride to help firm up the curd ... oh , one last thought , using pink sea salt really adds flavor to your cheeses ... if you really get into cheese making (it is addictive) check out gavin webber on youtube to make just about any cheese that is out there .. you guys did really well for first timers ... also sorry for the long post but as you can probably tell , making cheese is my addiction .... 😎🖖✌👌👍🤓😎🖖✌👌👍🤓

Mozzarella, burrata, ricotta, I like 'em all!! Thanks for another interesting video on how to make something tasty, it's so fun watching the process! Yeah, and issues are going to come up. Last week alone I made pancakes that stuck to the griddle and turned into a pile of crumbled heaps, then I set my grill on fire, turning $30 worth of steak into charcoal. Kind of wanted to cry.

For your vegetarian followers (okay dairy), please let them know they can buy a plant-based type of rennet. Rennet is actually derived from the stomach lining of a calf, ewe, or baby goat. So cheese made with animal rennet isn't vegetarian. You can buy vegetarian cheese in the grocery, or you can make your own cheese with vegetarian rennet! Please tell folks they can just look at the ingredient labels when they buy cheese, too. They'll say if the cheese you're buying is vegetarian. Thanks for all your great and fun videos. Even if your are making a meat dish, I still learn something and you boost my confidence. God bless. Keto Twins Rule!
