I was honoured to review Affinity Photo by Serif for today's video. There was so much I could say about this! Having been around since 2015, this software has become THE BEST Photoshop alternative. But how does it compete against such a titan of the photo industry?

Just tried LR and canceled it within two days! Im hoping this will work for me. Im also in N Ireland :) Newtownabbey Do you know of any classes to learn this?
Yeah LR can be daunting at the start, but it is worth sticking at it. Affinity is very good, similar layout and style to Photoshop.
I don't know anyone in NI that does classes mind you. Paul Crawford might offer on LR but I'm not sure. If not, there's PLENTY of helpful tips on RUclips
Thanks for this. I am getting tired of subscription for creative suite and really need something that I can count on to always be there. It seems like this program will be very useful in my graphic design.

Nice video. I am an Aftershot pro and paint shop pro user. However I also use Topaz denoise a lot when I’m shooting at high iso. Unfortunately Aftershot won’t open the DNG file and I wanted a cheap Raw editor just for those few occasion I shoot at high ISO and end up with a DNG. I will test it out. Thanks
Hard to beat the Topaz plugins.
@@mleachphoto I downloaded the trial of Affinity,and whilst the layers and tools are difficult to navigate compared to Corel, Affinity did a fantastic job on processing the RAW DNG file generated from Topaz denoise. I’m astounded how much better Topaz denoise works on the raw file than the Tiff. I used a monkey picture and the fur is sooo much better denoiseing the raw. Plus Affinity has auto layers alignment and focus stacking that I don’t have in paintshop pro 21. I normally use Hugin for that. Aftershot will remain my primary raw editor as it simply is more powerful and easier to use, but it’s worth me buying Affinity just so it can work with DNG and not be afraid to dial in the maximum ISO settings.

I think the content aware is better than Photoshop. Inpainting.

I don't know which Photoshop you were using, Layer adjustment on photoshop is always on the layer panel, 💩💩.
