Cool video and experience with BTS of Long Beach Airport. I remember walking out of the plane on the jet bridge back in 2017 and it was worth stepping out and getting in some of that California air, especially on a sunset. If only they didn't stop flights from BOS-LGB. Nicely done Kevin and Rudy!

Long Beach terminal is a step back into the 40s / 50s. It is wonderful. Also picking up or dropping off passengers, again a step back in time. I know people who live in Manhattan Beach that prefer to fly out of Long Beach. People will do just about anything to avoid the hell hole that is LAX.
From 1982 until 1989, I traveled via LGB when Jet America, American, United and Alaska served LGB. My first experience was in ‘82 on the first Alaska flight from SEA on a 727. United flew 767s to ORD and DEN. There were even AA and UA commuter flights to LAX
Long Beach is indeed a very unique airport I was there one time for some sort of air show like thing except nothing was flying everything was on the ground it was amazing military aircraft and other aircraft like private jets and helicopters got to see southwest and delta and American and Spirit it was very unique I also stayed at one of the hotels right there on final approach right by one of the runways and saw tons of planes such as Delta southwest United and American and UPS. You did a great job on this Kevin so happy you could bring this to us and the 737 a220 and e175 sounds were amazing and also saw a UPS A300
Small airports are so much nicer than the bigger hubs. One reason why I like flying through London City. Like the ramps up to the aircraft! Looks like a really cool airport - thanks for the interesting video

Enjoyed my many flights into LGB over the past years. I go back to the days of the trailers used for the waiting lounges. The new facilities were a major improvement. 👍

Great vid! I worked at LGB back in the 80’s as a lineman. The company I worked for fueled private aircraft that were under contract as well as commercial jets. I would drive a fuel truck completely around the airport. Fueling the jets was an awesome experience. Thanks!
I had the privilege of flying out of this airport. It was definitely one of the coolest experiences I ever had flying love the outdoor retro look GREAT job Kevin and crew for this great BTS of this fantastic airport in California.👏🏾👏🏾😃
I flew out of there many times in the 60's on Western Airlines Lockheed Electra turboprops, and a few times in the 70's in a Taylorcraft I owned at the time. They shut down commercial airline traffic on and off over the years, but now it's hopping once again and looks better than ever. If I still lived in SoCal I'd fly out of there again in a heartbeat just to stay clear of the LA congestion. Great video, Kevin!
Never ever change LGB! It was an incredible experience in January 2024. It was a flash back in time. And I loved unloading out the back of Southwest 737.
Great video Kevin and Rudy. I lived the first 30 years in Long Beach. I remember seeing the DC-10’s being build and test flying out of LGB. The Goodyear Blimp was stationed there for some time. My most memorable flight from there was a sea plane to Catalina and back. Great memories! Thanks guys.

Thank you for the great airport visit! I worked at SNA for over 8 years and I live within 10 miles of there as well, but the 4-5 times I fly each year I use LGB each time. Parking is easier, and check-in is much faster. Gate access and grabbing food is much easier as well. Thanks again LGB!
After many years of flying into Southern California, I finally flew in and out of LGB in connection with a cruise last fall. I became an immediate fan! What a great little airport! I can't wait to go back!
Air carriers have to pay rent for jet bridges... airports don't provide them but allow them to be installed and probably get a percentage of the rent fees.
LGB oh my goodness awesome !!!! My wife and I love Long Beach Airport !! Easy,fun,and convenient. Totally SoCal vibe and they're still making it even better. Quick check in, quick security lines, a relaxed,stress free way to begin your trip ! Prices are very competitive compared to other SoCal airports. Love,love the jet bridge to board the plane, so fun !! Only hic-up would be a rainy day but that doesn't happen too often. Every trip we do out of LGB is a wonderful experience. Thank you LGB, great,great job !!!!

Love the old school/retro vibe at Long Beach Airport, and yet it is just 20 miles from bustling LAX.
I flew out to Maui from LGB. Loved the Jet Bridge free boarding. Got to get some great pics of the plane!
