I have watched this several times now and just let the music wash over me and your words sink in a little further into my soul each time. It’s taken me a while to formulate my intentions for this year into coherent words that reflect my current journey. This is what I’ve come up with so far: I am starting the each day with the statement , of trusting that I am where I need to be and to live in the present. I will aim to recognise that I am the reflection of my past choices but to live in the present, understanding that my tomorrows will emerge from this. It’s my intention this year to have gratitude for who and what I have in my life. To continue to grow and resist the representations that exist of someone who is ageing, to be grateful that I have the opportunity to age. Thanks Alexandra. Go well and see you next time.

This one brought tears to my eyes. Everything you have said is true. So many things in our daily lives are blessings that get overlooked sometimes. Multumesc mult de visionary. Asa a fost si a mea dorinta anul trecut, și tot se mai întâmplă ceva și tot amanam călătoria. Și chiar dacă am făcut-o la sfârșitul anului, mă bucur mult ca am făcut-o, dar chiar te înțeleg.
Si mie imi place geamul ala, e perfect, ca post sa o veghez pe fetiță mea în timp ce se joaca în grădina și eu mai spal un vas etc! Te pup si un an bun iti doresc! XX

Ah I am so glad to hear it! Yes. to sewing content - but a lot more differently than before. In the sense that sewing will be reflected as a chapter of my life on this channel moving forward rather than the whole story. So similar to how cooking was an element of this video, I see sewing like that too. Which is more sustainable for me in the long term and doesn't put so much pressure on my sewing hobby. I can understand that that's maybe not what people signed up for when subscribing to this channel in the past years, but I'm giving myself permission to grow and follow what I feel in my soul is the right direction for this creative endeavour. This was the second time I made that meal, it was so good, I just want to keep eating it! It’s nice to hear that you visited relatives in Romania, it must be so hard with the distance.
One of my resolutions for this year was to document things more, this video was a good reminder to appreciate and be grateful for the things I already have. I want to be able to look back at all the memories I made with my little family and enjoy the time I’m spending with them in this season of my life ❤
Yes, I wish they were all much closer, so things like "popping over to my mom's" isn't such a novelty but more of a normality. Yes, highly, highly, highly recommend to document more especially around your family as your little one will grow so quickly. When I was making solely sewing content, I was focusing on documenting what I was making, but now that I've switched to a much more documentary type of content, I LOVE it because I get to look back at clips of me and our family out for walks and think gosh I would have never thought to capture this! So yes, capture breakfast, and naps and walks, and reading and all of it! Sending love X
What a beautiful and heartwarming video! So glad you went to spend time with your family in Romania. I haven’t been back since 2004. Some day we have to take my son to see where we were born and where his heritage is from.
Your list of wants for the new year was long, and quite overwhelming. Each one of the things on your list requires time, commitment, and sacrifice if you want to really enjoy the experience. Take one thing at a time, and don’t make a to do list as long as a summer’s day. Immerse yourself in the process fully and exclusively and if you enjoy it, pursue it for as long as possible. Do all things as if you’re doing them for the glory of God, and nothing you will do will be a waste of time.

Yes, such a big list. Wanted to share it to be realistic that I do have so many wishes and desires, but even if they don't happen, what I have now is so worth celebrating and rejoicing in.
Yes, it's my favourite Bible I've owned as it has a space on each page to write notes / thoughts.
I bought it when I became a mom and I'm filling it up with prayers, reflections, take-aways. The plan is to gift it to my daughter when she's ready!
