  • To determine how far the carriage should be from the foot bar, lie down, and place your heels are on the bar, there should be a 90-degree angle at the hip joint. If it carriage is too far away, it will be difficult to get a really good activation of the muscles that really want to work. If you're to close, you will experience discomfort and you're not going to be successful in the exercise as we'd like to be.

What about feet in straps? If you have an extremely tall client over 6 feet…would you keep them at 2 and 2?

I'm wondering if you can address why you might put someone at 2 and 3 vs 3 and 3. Thank you!

When your stopper is at 3, you can set the gearbar either 2 or 3. If you set it at 2, it just has a little more tension. If your client is strong, we would suggest putting them at 2 or 3.
