State of the tide is very important, but it is different for different spots. Fish tend to arrive in different spots at different states of tide depending on the type of group, water flow etc. The only way to find out when is it is to fish all through the different states of tide. Mornings and evenings tend to be better than mid day but not always
Really great video and I love that you returned the fish too. Can I ask where you are fishing? I have set my self a challenge this year to catch a sea bass on the fly rod but I am in county Down and from what I hear they are hard to find in these parts of the country. I have heard of them being caught between Kilkeel and Carlingford lough . I am prepared to travel but a bit of location knowledge would most likely save me a load of time. Have you any advice? Look forward to your next video.
thanks a fine goal you set yourself, best of luck. There are nice bass being caught around you and down south just a bit, but they're not as plentiful as the south coast of Ireland. If you were to be in the best chance, you probably should go down south for a couple of days around spring tides, ideally during a period of settled weather. Shallow reefs, rocks next to beaches with water not too deep, are their typical feeding grounds as are estuaries. there are litellary thousands of great spots around, but you still need to put the time to find them, as they never stay in one spot for too long

Hi Cathal, That's a nice rod, on the heavier side, as in I'd reach for it if I'd be facing some bouncy conditions and had to punch heavy metals a long way out there. That was an excellent upload, with lots of very sound advice. Working the edges is so important; so many times have I seen a Bass swim past me only a metre or two from the shore. Standing well back from the edge, walking gently and having a cast well back when you arrive can often bag a nice one that is feeding close in.

It sure woke me up and took me by surprise. 😲
@@carlpaesbrugghe1237 one's never ready for the sudden take of a big bass! A lad I know got a fish well into double figures which went pretty much onto the sand at full speed and that was that lol
@@MarcinKantor very true lol. A local angler had a very similar thing happen this morning here in Lowestoft. He hooked a fisf of a lifetime and lost it amongst the rocks after it stripped off a load of line.
Fantastic!
Many thanks!
Hello looking fo a insight of where to fish traviling to rosslaire from wales in a campervan so looking to travel any hhere fo a chance of bass regards Dave s
All around rosslare is well worth targeting. Enjoy your fishing
Great Vid, like the wire on the hook going to use that👌 what boots were you wearing?
Very handy, let's you add just the right amount of weight to get most natural look. Those were Dakota work boots from sports direct. Silly money, they will last 1-2 seasons.
Congratulations, well done :) 😃 👏 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

@@darrenanthonyshortt9157 that's a cracking trout, yes they are cool lures, very effective for trout and shades. That rod is tenryuy supermix. Up to 60gr in theory but they are unbelievable rods. Price to match tho ;)
Gooo onnn bossss 👊🏻👊🏻
Lol
That was an excellent upload, with lots of very sound advice. Working the edges is so important; so many times have I seen a Bass swim past me only a metre or two from the shore. Standing well back from the edge, walking gently and having a cast well back when you arrive can often bag a nice one that is feeding close in.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks very much John. Same here, learned it hard way. Been fishing not once or twice when I noticed bass behind me. Wading out deep and casting towards the shore makes you look like a muppet let me tell you that haha
@@MarcinKantor Absolutely! A few times I have been heavy with my feet on the shingle, then disturb a big old girl. All you see is a huge bow wave as your heart sinks and you curse yourself 🤣😭
@@johnratcliffe6438 curse yourself badly you meant and give a few smacks for a good measure
What is this water edge?
Just the nearby margin, very close in 👍
Thank you very much, i will be fishing in ireland near Dublin, maybe you know some good spots here. And what do you think about savage gear sandeell, are those good? Could you maybe recomend some budget lures? Thanks for the reply😊
Savage Gear gravity stick are very good cheap bass lures. North side of Dublin has some nice rocky points and reefs worth a shot
Why these fish are returned to water after catch?
There were never as few fish in the seas as there are now, because of human greed. have a look at www.seaspiracy.org/
I am doing my best to help protect the fishing so our kids can also enjoy it, before the seas are emptied :(
hi, could i know the name of the softbait at minute 3:28? Thanks!!!
no problem :) www.redgill.co.uk/product/red-gill-evo-stix/
Do you know anywhere in kerry for bass
It takes time to learn to bass fish right?? I'd my first this year after a couple years trying and sussing out marks
It certainly does Phil. It had taken me 10 sessions to get my first one, and they were not short sessions let me tell you. Days and nights. But once you figure things out it goes much better. Congratulations on your bass there lad 👌

Very important indeed but so many other equally important factors. My best session was at the worst tides...

What county we’re you fishing in??
what My House said, south and east mainly
A to zawsze dobrze. Pozdrawiam

@@MarcinKantor Thank you from Israel!
One of few video that will give you tips on how to fish for bass parch pike course, don't have to have top quality rod or reel if you follow the basics of bass fishing and parch fishing,, tip top videos,
Thanks mate, much appreciated ❤️🎣
Would it be possible to get it shipped if i win? (i'll pay) i live in Denmark (i know it's only Ireland/UK)
I've tried sea fishing once before, after trout, i didn't catch anything, but since then i have been enjoying fishing alot more, i recently just startet fishing alone.
I'm sorry, but it would be unfair towards others who didn't take a part in the Giveaway. Either way, best of luck with your sea fishing.
@@MarcinKantor i fully understand, thank you
Are you allowed to keep bass?
1 March to 31 July - 2 fish bag limit. A minimum size limit of 42cm applies
GIVEAWAY: @the_bob_fella Hey Marcin. Great video as always! Some stunning fish there. I know that you dont want to give away the venue, but an example of how and where you are casting would be good. I've only ever fished beaches for bass...with some success. I would love this rod as I have no saltwater lure rod and it is something I'd love to try. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. Tight Lines pal
thanks for the feedback Brian. One need to be careful about this as you know yourself, but I will think what's the best way to show how would I approach different types of fishing grounds... Would be a nice vid, I'd like to watch it myself lol
Good stuff. Thanks pal
