Great video Marcin - I'm certainly going to give the teaser a try. I see your lures have sometimes three hooks, sometimes single - how do you decide which to go for please?

hey marcin, nice work. - i hope i can check out your tips when i come to sylt next time, island on northsea side between dk and germany. - you surely know. i already bought the same lures, a sandeel-jig made from lead in brownish color, because in sylt sandeel is brown. other sandeel-plastics, wobblers, jerkbaits, stickbaits. too much. i have to use it now. But its hard work- far away, 3 hours with train, another two hours to travel to the spots. expensive, stressful. all alone some time. i came there 5 times but caught only makerel, and often not even that.. not that easy with the right tide and wheather n wind. last time , a buddy caught a seagull- that was katastrophic.-he, a beginner fisherman, cut line then in panic, made it worse ;worst case scenario happen:( i wasn t there to stop him doing that. - and we got blown away by rainstorm. it was almost a kick-out. a hate-love with notrh sea. maybe i get another chance this year. or maybe i am cursed : one time, i had one seabass on, but it came off. another angler, who made fun of me beeing hyped by that because he thought it would only be makerel caught one 55cm then after that, got also hyped. another time my fishing buddy caught 2! so i need revenge:-) i wish i had the opportunitys like you have. enjoy it, and tight lines from germany, where we only have the islands to catch seabass. @@MarcinKantor ah, you also a flyfisher. i saw you catching salmon: you so blessed- i feel a little jealous, but you are missing small streams you said, so . i could be happy , doing this . its the only thing im up to right now. in the krückau. today i got away with an ide, a bream and some perch up to 20cm, a short period before water turning direction by tide, the best time, as fish know they will get other conditions. (river elbe is 10km near my city elmshorn and there is 3,80 m tide there, brackish but muddy water, no bass:-).) i caught on different softplastics on ul spin. my favorite method, out for some small perchfilets from time to time. yes, the ide and bream liked also a clear neon-orange colored twister, presented very slow in a hole verticaly.. i can always recommend this particular color: clear-neon-orange!!! for almost every occasion as it is same color as perch. fins. this color caught me ervery predator as it mimmics also a crab - orange, and is color of sky on dusk and dawn. can t go wrong with it. but take it as a secret:) zander, pike, especially cod and perch love it the most from all neon uv-colors, i discovered many times. . guess on what color my only seabass bit on. they like crab also.. ;) i can make my own color-combos with the spike-it pens: you can save lots of money, if you pimp up all your old non-catching stuff with it.i am very happy i got it. just get the orange value pack- thats all you need. it lasts for ever, and you can choose from different flavors, which also last for ever. garlic works fine, and lasts. so you can make trash to stash. sorry - i am a tackle-and a talk- freak. don t feel obliged to answer- it will go on and on and on and on, and no time to go out :-) thats for winter times, tackle talk, but i wanted to give you that tip in season. . till next time, fabian
I'm in France but soon moving to Ireland I love fishing by hook so I've been watching your videos. And I'd love to meet you Oneday. Where are you in Ireland?
Hi Marcin, Great videos. I watch them all so fare, really enjoyed them🙂. As I'm new to Bass fishing I was wondering what length of rod and size of reel you are using? I bought an 8'3" Tailwalk max 35g. A few people have made comments regarding the size of the rod, saying I should have bought a 9' - 9'6". I looked closely at your videos and noticed you are using a 10-35g rod but I could not make out the rod and reel size. Thank you in advance. Derek
Don't listen to them Derek. I started by using 9-9'6 rods as is the popular "belief" but very quickly went down to 8'6 and then about 3 years ago to 7'6 and haven't moved since. The short rods (as long as they are high quality) will allow you to cast as far as any 9'6, give better control over fish, better balance, lighter to fish meaning less fatigue and can fish for longer and better. I use Favorite Skylines TZ or Favorite Black Swans in that length casting up to 35gr.
Thank you very much for putting my mind at rest, everybody but Ben from the art of fishing kept telling me that I needed a bigger rod with a higher gram ratio.@@MarcinKantor
I love your videos mate , congrats on the nice salmon you got recently. Are you based in Ireland ? I'm looking for info on bass/sea trout fishing in the mayo area any help welcome. Thanks in advance
Ron, thanks. As for Mayo, it's generally considered a good area for sea trout. Haven't fished there myself but any river estuary is a good bet. When it comes to bass, you'd be in a better chance after travelling down to kerry or further again, south. While you can get bass up there, it's considerably tougher than down south
Very nice video 👍🏽 I really would like to find those fly's you using there do you get them? I use similar technic but using fly feather usually you use from boat for cod fishing 😁 I cought most of my bass on features and metal spinners 🙂
Thank you. I have a guy here in Ireland tying them for me. Where are you based? Drop me a message via Facebook or Instagram and I will get you his details
Hi Liam, Kerry is good, but the south coast probably best. FBM is OK, but I don't rate it super high. All the lures in this video would be my favourites over BFM
I like your approach in bass fishing, one question If it's possible ok? I make my own lures I used land sea bass around 7 to 9 Kg that was January 2021 a small pier with lights I could also see during the night the strikes on surface I left for seasonal work and when I returned No sea bass at all a place where the bad days I could see 3 to 4 sea bass around but now none. Again making my own lures, Soft,Surface,Wtd, everything from smallest to the biggest lures but again nope I thought about smell, fish oils nope no luck. I'm afraid that the place is what we call burned . What should I try; any plan?
Might be many reasons for that, the lures in my opinion don't matter that much. If the fish were there they would hit something. Either the bottom has changed and fish don't find it attractive anymore or some human interference like nearby overfishing is to blame. Either way you need to change spots and find fish again
@@TheBassRacer sounds like you should be in the tackle business lol but the same here, I found Zonks somewhere at the end of the world at silly money, bought 15 or so (I know!) now I can sell them for twice the price!
Hello. In your movies I've seen you use a favorite rod. I want to ask you some advice.I want to buy skyline SKYA-902M 10-26 or SKYA-902MH 12-35.My conditions I need to throw a bombarda or sbirulino weighing 25-30 grams. Can a medium throw 30 grams?
Hi Aleks, could it throw it? Yes, if you had to. Would I use it for that? absolutely not. If you want to be fishing with 25-30gr as standard, you definitely need the MH. I actually helped developing the rods, both are awesome, but the one you want for 25-30 bombarda is the MH
@@MarcinKantor great thanks Marcin. One last, I saw you don’t use swivel just the snap. Any reason? You remember your snap brand and size? Thanks in advance.
@@MermanFishing I'll put the ball back in your court, why swivel? I don't use any spinners that could twist my line... They're called Breakaway mini link 20lbs, highly recommended 👍
@@MarcinKantor Haha! For me the reason is the thicker fluorocarbon in the front being not flexible. I had fish reeled in upside down (especially smaller fishes). 🤗🤗 thank you! Check out this video fir the explanation Deadly Teaser Rig with Lures for Bass - Why & How. Seabass Fishing Ireland ruclips.net/video/cFP_6o2T3bU/видео.html
John, not a such thing as bass spots really, as they are always on the move. the trick is to put the time in at different stages of the tides until you intercept them moving. What you ideally like is a rocky ground, shallow reef next to some beaches. the edge of beach and rocks can be good. if it gets deeper than 2-3 meters you start to get into pollock and wrasse territory. so shallow for bass. ideal are reefs exposed on low water, covered on high water. fish them 2-3h before HW until 2-3h after estruaries are good too, usually these are fished around LW, 2 h each side best, if you open google earth view or osi maps, select a few spots on the south coast as per my explanation above and give them a good bash. Spring tides better than neaps, as more water movement bring more food and mor ebass. most important are water clarity, if it's dirty, I wouldn't bother on lures. crystal clear not great either. 1-2m visibility is perfect.

Many thanks, I have tried it with metals and hard lures, but, never surface lures. Look forward to the next video. Keep up the good work👍🏻👏🏻
Love the mixed Polish-Irish accent!

Awesome stuff.............Keep it up
Thank you
Great video thanks Marcin, love the camera work too.. what video recorders do you use ?
Thank you sir. Have a few go pros and another camera.
Hi chap am another RUclips fishing addict and starting on my journey with nearly 600 subscribers. Watched a couple of your videos. Love your enthusiasm, scenery ace and the fish like bars of silver have liked and subbed 👍👍👍🐠cheers Paul

@@MarcinKantor my pleasure 👍
Please show the different retrieve techniques you use and how about night fishing. Peace.
there will be a video coming up about techniques. Night fishing is dificult to capture on the camera unfortunately
Great vid nice and simple
Thank you 🎣🎣 BTW remember Famas, my favourite from the days passed... 😉
Hi do you fish with mono straight thru and what breaking strain do you like 👍
25lbs braid and 16lbs fluoro leader
Great video Martin - Have you ever caught Seabass in Sligo ?
Not yet! Not as many as down south but I know people who had with enough effort put in 👍
Great video Marcin - I'm certainly going to give the teaser a try. I see your lures have sometimes three hooks, sometimes single - how do you decide which to go for please?
It is me experimenting really. I find the single give a better hook hold but worse hookup ratio. If in doubt stick with the original setup, if it's trebles, crushing barbs is a good idea
Good video 👍🏻.I just wonder after watching your video, how many anglers will try to find that cheap magic lure from ali 😁
One or two I'd say 😉😉 Thanks Audrius
Hi bud, love your enthusiasm on your videos, do you buy or make your teasers
I get them from a friend of mine, he ties for some others too
What rod and braid are you using please
Favorite Skyline TZ, MH, 7'6'' and Favorite x8 braid. Check the description for more details
hey marcin, nice work.
- and we got blown away by rainstorm. it was almost a kick-out. a hate-love with notrh sea.
maybe i get another chance this year. or maybe i am cursed :
one time,
i had one seabass on, but it came off. another angler, who made fun of me beeing hyped by that because he thought it would only be makerel caught one 55cm then after that, got also hyped.
another time my fishing buddy caught 2! so i need revenge:-) i wish i had the opportunitys like you have.
enjoy it, and tight lines from germany, where we only have the islands to catch seabass. Best regards, ,fabian
Hi Fabian, I love the dedication you're showing mate. that's a sign of a true angler to me. One thing I can tell you, you will get your bass eventually and will feel bloody awesome man!! so keep at and keep putting the effort in, but do accept it is tough and don't get frustrated. the journey is the fun. it really will feel awesome when you get. Every thinking of coming to Ireland, give me a shout
@@MarcinKantor thanks a lot for answer and invitation - thats what a true angler is all about: comradship and not competition like nowerdays they will claim with that "zander pro series" for example , all hyped out like in us.
. i like the approach to it , like irish people and polish people have to it. simple and creative.
i like polish lures a lot( besides salmo.) real craftmenship like the japanese.
there are many unknown polish brands i saw at fishing mart.eu , when irt still existrs. very good spoons and wobblers.
you have polish roots-? -i recognized the name (2 friends of mine have same name) so i mention it. no advertisement!:)
. . - i will keep watching your channel, and keep comemting. so , till then. tight lines
@@fabianronck4575 no problem Fabian, always happy to cast a line with a real angler. Get your first bass there and then you should try Ireland 👍 Yes, I'm Polish, from Kraków. Although living here 16 yrs now. And yes now fishing mart all too well, sadly for my wallet 🙃 glad to have you subbed, stick around and tight lines lad
@@MarcinKantor ah, you also a flyfisher. i saw you catching salmon:
you so blessed- i feel a little jealous, but you are missing small streams you said, so . i could be happy , doing this . its the only thing im up to right now. in the krückau.
today i got away with an ide, a bream and some perch up to 20cm, a short period before water turning direction by tide, the best time, as fish know they will get other conditions.
(river elbe is 10km near my city elmshorn and there is 3,80 m tide there, brackish but muddy water, no bass:-).)
i caught on different softplastics on ul spin. my favorite method, out for some small perchfilets from time to time.
yes, the ide and bream liked also a clear neon-orange colored twister, presented very slow in a hole verticaly..
i can always recommend this particular color: clear-neon-orange!!!
for almost every occasion as it is same color as perch. fins.
this color caught me ervery predator as it mimmics also a crab - orange, and is color of sky on dusk and dawn. can t go wrong with it. but take it as a secret:)
zander, pike, especially cod and perch love it the most from all neon uv-colors, i discovered many times. .
guess on what color my only seabass bit on. they like crab also.. ;)
i can make my own color-combos with the spike-it pens:
you can save lots of money, if you pimp up all your old non-catching stuff with it.i am very happy i got it.
just get the orange value pack- thats all you need. it lasts for ever, and you can choose from different flavors, which also last for ever.
garlic works fine, and lasts.
so you can make trash to stash.
sorry - i am a tackle-and a talk- freak. don t feel obliged to answer- it will go on and on and on and on, and no time to go out :-)
thats for winter times, tackle talk, but i wanted to give you that tip in season.
. till next time, fabian
@@fabianronck4575 thanks Fabian, I know another angler who swears by orange. Good to hear the feedback
I'm in France but soon moving to Ireland I love fishing by hook so I've been watching your videos. And I'd love to meet you Oneday. Where are you in Ireland?
Thanks, I'm not far from Dublin myself
HI GOOD VİDEO THANKYOU FOR IT
thanks!
Very nice video.
Thank you very much!
@@derekthoirn3355 I caught my 84cm fish on 7'6 rated to 24 gr although 35gr would be my rod of choice.
Hi, great video.
Were you using. a 3/0 or 4/0 Decoy Violence jighead with the RedcGill Evo Stix?
Cheers, James
Hi James. Both will be fine but I was on the 7g which I think comes in 3/0 not 4/0
Good job. I like the challenge. What species of bass are those?
challenge is the best! Dicentrarchus Labrax
Wat types of line , shock leader do you use.. can you explain the set up please
Paul, I usually use 20-25lb braid, my first choice is spiderwire stealth smooth 8, and then 16lb fluoro leader, about a meter of it
Great video, thank you. Lots of daytime angling and very few night time caught Bass in the video. Do you spend most of your time daylight fishing?
I do indeed, I don't find night fishing as enjoyable personally, although it definitely is very effective!
Any bass being caught at the moment
Right now it's slow, should pick up again soon
Very nice video 👍🏽
I really would like to find those fly's you using there do you get them?
I use similar technic but using fly feather usually you use from boat for cod fishing 😁
I cought most of my bass on features and metal spinners 🙂

Hello is kerry a good place for bass what is the average lb and I use a fiiish black minnow is it good but what would be better
Brilliant an honest fish 9.14… Fishing is 98% where when 2% the lure type
Absolutely mate, the only thing the new lures are shiny, and new, and shiny 😂
@@MarcinKantor and expensive😭
Bloody right they are. I think I entered a higher level of enlightenment here, selling lures, sticking to a few...
@@MarcinKantor I’ve sold about £400 worth of Pike lures still have loads they hold there value. Sold the Burt’s for more they I paid for them😉
@@TheBassRacer sounds like you should be in the tackle business lol but the same here, I found Zonks somewhere at the end of the world at silly money, bought 15 or so (I know!) now I can sell them for twice the price!
Can you please tell us the size of rod , line weight and the ounces of the trailer lure used. Peace.

Epic video Marcin. What braid do you use for a 4000 reel?
thank you kindly! almost exclusively it's spiderwire stealth smooth 24lbs in white colour
With the swivel, the line stays put, fish too. I am trying to find your snaps, hard to get in europe. Thanks for your answers, tight lines.
@@MermanFishing no worries, HTO makes the same ones. You'd get plenty of them over in Aliexpress, but they're bigger, not as small as the ones I have here

Do you need to attach a leader when fishing for bass?
No you don't. It helps to protect against the rocks if you have a fish on, and lest tangles especially while fishing on the surface

Great vid. Subbed. 👍
Welcome to the channel 😉🎣
I'm a beginner where can I go and catch along the South Coast 👍
John, not a such thing as bass spots really, as they are always on the move. the trick is to put the time in at different stages of the tides until you intercept them moving. What you ideally like is a rocky ground, shallow reef next to some beaches. the edge of beach and rocks can be good. if it gets deeper than 2-3 meters you start to get into pollock and wrasse territory. so shallow for bass. ideal are reefs exposed on low water, covered on high water. fish them 2-3h before HW until 2-3h after
estruaries are good too, usually these are fished around LW, 2 h each side
best, if you open google earth view or osi maps, select a few spots on the south coast as per my explanation above and give them a good bash. Spring tides better than neaps, as more water movement bring more food and mor ebass. most important are water clarity, if it's dirty, I wouldn't bother on lures. crystal clear not great either. 1-2m visibility is perfect.
@@MarcinKantor Thanks
Just one other question, could I ask what that wire is that you use to weight the weedless hooks when Fishing?
It's a lead wire
Hi was is top cut of evo lure blue and white 170mm.
It was indeed, meant to explain why but forgot!! You get much better feedback from any weed, rocks, bottom etc.
😍🤜🏽🤛🏽
Cheers
Hi Marcin. What size of hook on the offset jig head for the Evo stick would you recommend?
Decoy vj36 on 4/0 works well or a 6/0 normal offset
Hi what spinning rod and reel do you use? Thanks Richard
Hi. In the description of the video 👍
What length of rod and casting weight do u recommend for bass
By far my best rod is the Favorite Skyline TZ 7'6 10-35. That length and casting range is perfect for me
