Last fall I bought a top quality Class A diesel pusher; 14 years old. I am very savvy in mechanics, a deep DIY guy, and had watched tons of videos of people discovering and fixing issues, so I chose to do my own inspection. I thought I covered a lot, but after spending many hours inspecting, I realized that I did not inspect more than maybe 25% of what should have been covered. In my inspection, I found that the 1 year old $10k Aqua-hot replacement was not working with diesel - only electric. I found that the house batteries were not being charged when the generator was running. I knew what it would take to fix those things. I glossed over some things I became aware of, but should have made a point about those as well. I ended up demanding a $2k price reduction, and bought the unit, but after getting it home and beginning to understand how some of the things work, I have realized that if I had my complete list or a professional list, it would have been easy to demand a $10k reduction. So much for "saving" on the price of a professional inspector.

I have a Class C and I hid a key to my storage compartments using a magnetic box hidden under my RV and then I hid a door key in one of the four compartments. Good luck to anyone trying to find it. It has saved me one time so far (so thankful). And yes Mike, you look tired.

This seems an important service to the consumer, and holds the manufacturers and dealers accountable, which is great. You want to protect your investment and be safe. I like the professionalism and level of standards that she talked about. Very good!

I was recently texting a rv dealership on a new rv and as soon as I mentioned if it would be ok if we brought in an inspector they stoped talking to me. That was a dead ringer lol

When I bought my new RV a year ago, I contacted 2 inspectors. Never got a response from them. They were the only ones listed in that area.

Those keyless door locks may sound a warning to let you know your battery is low. Also like the Air Tag give yourself a reminder to put in fresh batteries every so often.

I think an inspection is a great idea unfortunately when we bought an RV nobody was available in our area to do an inspection and quite honestly the dealer was not so honest about things we found very sad that rv dealers are not very honest probably many like this

Are the Apple air tags compatible with android devices?
A local auto body shop owner was busted last fall for stolen catalytic converters.
RV prices are still out of line. In the fall of 2019 we almost bought a new Alpine 3801FK. Dealer had 2 new asking about $65K. A few weeks later both were reduced to about $60K. Now the same units are available used on RV Trader for between $59K and $68K, and one unit with storm damage and a rebuildable title @ $45K. All prices way to high for used fivers.

I really wish we had gotten an inspection on our new 5th wheel before we bought it. We have been without it since Nov 15th due to a slide not being the correct measurements and not going all the way out. 😕 it's being fixed under warranty of course but I wanna go camping 😂

Hi Carlos: I carry GL insurance as do most of the inspectors in our association and you can inquire about that when you are interviewing any prospective inspector. We will be happy to share our proof of insurance!

You say bear, I say GRENADE. There's a reason they were hunted down and eliminated from many areas.

How can a pack of 3 airtags cost $99 and you said one costs $29. Think about the math.
Just to make things easier, let's make one $30 it's quicker to add in 5s.
Drop the zero and if you multiply 3 times 3, you get 9. Put the zero back and you get 90. Subtract 3 because you added 1 to the price. That would be 87. If you buy 3 single ones. It'll cost you $87. You will be paying an extra $7 for a 3 pack.
