Maybe instead of a dead tree, make it an autumn tree with a lil bit of orange/yellow leaves? I think it fits with the cookie theme which is golden brown. And i think it would match with the smoke. And the colors would feel very homey and warm vibes, which i association with home baked cookies.
Scar, when 1.19 drops, you could totally use the new roots as a sort of "dead leaves" to sort of show the tree dying due to the pollution from the smoke stacks
I’m not sure what kind of pollution would be coming from a cookie factory unless they had an open burner underneath a huge pot using solid fuel or something outlandish like that
You can call the ship 'The Emeralda'. Inspired by a real cargo ship called 'The Esmeralda'. Because of the Emerald theme I think it would be a good fit.
I feel like the dead tree matches well with the transition between Xisuma's wasteland and the Cookie Empire Edit: Look how they massacred Scar's dead tree. It looks like DDR. /joking
Only issue is he is an elf. In most Mythologies that I’m aware of the elven race/fairies (depending on the lore) are very much all about nature and life.
Dead, but I think it would look cool with blotches of moss growing on it to give it the pop of greenery or maybe some of those shelf-like mushrooms growing on the sides.
I feel it would make sense for the tree to be dead, there’s literally smoke and a large metal pipe running through the center of the tree, which mainly supports it’s life, and would also make sense why it was leaning.
Fun fact about trees! The center is usually dead since it grows outward in rings. All the life and nutrients travel in the outer rings. That’s why you’ll see a bunch of totally healthy, hollow trees. That being said, I agree with you how the dead tree would be cooler. Just love teaching about nature 💜
Scar said before building the cookie factory that he was scared to show it because it might not be everyones cup of tea, but it looks great!!! Don't put your self down.
Hey Scar, an idea for the Cookie Empire tree. Now, I personally like the idea of the dead tree, but if you wanted to give some sort of "life" to it you could add large mushrooms to it. And, maybe you could call them "Cookieshrooms" which are mined for the cookies that the factory produces.
I agree I mean, I am not even 15 and the “thats what she said” joke was one of the funniest jokes I’ve seen on hermitcraft. Don’t ask why I know what “ thats what she said” means
Name it the evergreen! Green emeralds, stuck from a series of unfortunate events, and that boat is definitely going to control the economy with how much is inside!!

I love the dead tree look! It's like one of those shops that has always been around because everyone loves it and the surroundings have just aged with it. Just like the tree :)
"the Emerald Enterprise" could be a good name for the ship. And a cool thing about it is that there is a ACTUAL cargo ship with that name apparently. Anyway, I enjoyed the video very much, keep it up!
Agreed, it feels like an interesting perspective on industrialization that is almost corrupting the nature of the elves, and thus killing the tree. But the build is still nature-based and green which that shows the elves haven't forgotten their roots.
For the tree you should do both. In Bonsai there is a popular styling using Jin, Shari and Uro which make sections of the tree look stripped or dead. I think it would be incredibly unique from a Minecraft build perspective and you meet in the middle for the fans.
Has anyone suggested “The Evergrian” yet? Or, perhaps, “The Evergrain”. I’m more for live tree than dead tree, but I think the stump idea also sounds really cool!

At the 19:32 timestamp, Scar goes on about how tough it is scouring this tree... while flying right past the lantern containing Eggskall xD You can see his little green gemstone eye shine through the trap door. What an amazing hiding spot that was.
I feel like the name "G.T.S Emerald" might be a good one for the trading ship. 'G.T.S' can stand for Grian, Tango and Scar, as well as 'Goods To Sell.'
The ship should be called "OVERBOARD" Representing the huge project that they've started and the effort that all 3 of them have put into this story-like build. :)
Yes and some of the leaves closer to the chimney would be brown or greyish because despite the attempts of the tree, the smoke and soot is detrimental to the leaves
I feel like a tree with a smoke stack straight through the middle isn’t going to stay alive very long, so no leaves make sense. That said it’s a cookie factory run by magic elves soo. Yes leaves!
I thought of a good lore for the tree. The elves found the tree and began using it to craft their cookies, but the elves got greedy. They started taking too much of the tree, slowly killing it. Now the only way for them to get their cookies is by harvesting the cookie mushrooms that grow from the once great tree. (Mushroom idea from another comment)
Love the tree!, There was no reason to be nervous at all. The roof of the factory is looking amazing but from the clips before the tree was built, the view from above looked a little monotone and it might benefit from some azalea leaves or maybe an elf or two on top. Regardless the build looks amazing!
DEAD - I think it adds more variety than if there were only large trees with leaves. It could have “lore” value in that the elves that lived there wanted to give the dead tree new life by using it as a base for the factory or that the dead dry wood made for a better chimney
It depends on what you want to do with your future builds. You said your theme is tree elves, so personally I'd make the tree more lively. If you proceed to do more terrain and/or buildings with living trees, that dead tree is going to stick out like a sore thumb. On the other hand, if you try to come up with something creative for each build in that area, going from one live tree, to a dead tree, to a mushroom, or etc. you run the risk of creating too much jumbo. It's easier on the eyes to stick with a 'solid' theme. My vote: A living tree.
"Im a bit nervous, this might not be everybodies cup of tea" *proceeds to build an amazing house nobody in their right minds would ever criticize* You dont have to doubt yourself scar, thats one awesome build right there.
Scar, I really appreciate the way you do your super-fast build mode by hand. You move around to the different parts of the build and add things here and there showing so much more of the process. It's so much more interesting than many of the other Hermitcraft members who now build layer-by-layer from a schematic. Major respect. Keepin things original
It's perfect the way it is scarf you don't need to change the cookie factory/cookie shop. You don't need to change anything of it. I think it looks so good you are really good at what you do. Keep up the great. work.
The dead tree looks great! Almost as if the factory eventually polluted the area and the tree died as a result- maybe add some mushrooms? Oh and with earth day coming up the dead tree gets even more meanings🌍
I think “Aeolus” would be a pretty cool name for the ship, because he is a god of storms in Greek mythology. Also “Anemoi” could work out nicely, cause anemoi in greek mythology is a group of wind gods who control different directions and you created the ship as a group each working on a different aspect
" Dead " Good job scar! For the tree, the lore could be the following. The dead tree was alive when the elves moved there. The elves are very protective of forests so when they first moved. They decided to only use a single tree for their home. Given there long life spans and the believe that the an elf reborns again once they die, they tend to keep their numbers low and are not interested on being so big that it forces burden on nature. Continuing, the tree alive then, was struck with lightning, it would be dangerous for the forest if it burned very furiously but the elves also needed fire, they didn't like chopping many trees to get their wood. So they came up with the plan to seal the fire within the tree. Using their magic they were successfully able to keep it contained. Though they had to make chimneys on it so that smoke produced while making food could escape easily. Fast forward to future, the elves are now good neighbours with other hermits. The forest naturally moved, as they do in this mythical world, the seeds travel and none stay. The ones that come from far away won't grow, for there is no nutrition left in soil and it takes a very long time for the mythical trees to be absorbed in ground but when they do they provide immerse amounts of nutrition and mana for others tress and even the living beings to grow. The dead tress, thus why has still haven't decayed. Or is decaying, providing mana to soil and the elves directly, bringing prosperity to them in terms of health, but the elves are already very strong in that term and the magical soil boosts that even more. Giving them enough magical power to keep their loving home alive, a part of the reason why they haven't moved with the forsest, through miniscule are the hermits that the elves don't want to leave, for though they are very troublesome, the elves do enjoy the hermit's company.

And Zegg at 1:00
Ship name idea: Emerald Green (Kinda similar to the ever green)
Love it!
S.S Emerald Green has such a good ring to it
Someone will be bound to build narrow waterways through land for the ship to get stuck in
It's kind of already trapped in its little kiddie pool, lol. That ship isn't sailing anywhere!
evergrian
I'm a forestry major and I love the dead tree. Adds something different and dead trees are always important!!!
I feel like the name "G.T.S Emerald" might be a good one for the trading ship.
'G.T.S' can stand for Grian, Tango and Scar, as well as 'Goods To Sell.'
Yes, this is a really good name
This is actually amazing
And good times (with) scar
Or it could mean giant thunder storm
Hmm... how many more 'G.T.S' names can you find/make?
The ship should be called "OVERBOARD"
Representing the huge project that they've started and the effort that all 3 of them have put into this story-like build. :)
That’s a very good and punny name 😀
Best one I've seen, especially since Scar has stated that he may have went overboard on it. Hope they choose yours!
@@EssentialNPC thanks👍, me too😅
Perhaps the "TGS Overboard"
ahh so good! up for this!
I love the look of the fac-tree! Looks good dead, but could try one or two bits with leaves as of the tree is trying to live. Life, finds a way...
Yes and some of the leaves closer to the chimney would be brown or greyish because despite the attempts of the tree, the smoke and soot is detrimental to the leaves
Big fan of the tree, it looks FANTASTIC dead and I'm sure if you felt leaves were necessary, you'd make the living tree look just as stunning.
Maybe The S.S Merald (merald as in emerald) or “Esmeralda”, since it’s pretty common that boats have woman’s names. + Esmeralda sounds like Emeralds.
SS El Merald would be a nice reference to the SS El Faro too since it was a storage ship lost in a storm
"Esmeralda" is emerald in portuguese and spanish.
Its so cool how scar manages to incorporate copper into every one of his builds. You can tell how much he likes it.
Naming the ship “S.S. Car” would be a perfect signature to such an awesome build
its so funny to me when scar is like "i dont know if you guys will like this build" cuz all his builds are AMAZING!
i think those villager elves would look pretty fitting in the cookie empire if they wear the jungle biome outfit.
covered in dough after a long day
I feel like a tree with a smoke stack straight through the middle isn’t going to stay alive very long, so no leaves make sense. That said it’s a cookie factory run by magic elves soo. Yes leaves!
I was thinking the same. Maybe do leaves but leave some holes around the chimney's
@@kallomyname1948 actually, it'd make more sense if the leaves only died where the smoke starts.
This Season is supposed to be weird, so it would be okay for There to be some leaves.
LIKE THIS EVERYBODY
BUT NO LEAVES
is better
I really love the dead tree, it makes sense from all the smoke and pollution.
However I think it needs some mushrooms and lichen added to it
I thought of a good lore for the tree.
Jesus Christ died for ssinsssss
@@jesuslovesyou2616 tru
@@jesuslovesyou2616 if I don't sin then he died for nothing so I'm going to sin
I think leaving the tree dead blends your area with x’s wasteland vibes perfectly
DEAD - I think it adds more variety than if there were only large trees with leaves. It could have “lore” value in that the elves that lived there wanted to give the dead tree new life by using it as a base for the factory or that the dead dry wood made for a better chimney
would also fit with the stony enviorment of Xs base
I like this better than saying the pollution killed the tree.

"Im a bit nervous, this might not be everybodies cup of tea"
*proceeds to build an amazing house nobody in their right minds would ever criticize*
You dont have to doubt yourself scar, thats one awesome build right there.
Don't think litematica works on servers :/
I think dead tree looks good. I like how it smoothes the transition between dirt and stone on the ground.
also wood elves are vegetarians so it makes sense they harvest a tree to make cookies instead of dairy products.
I agree
When he said ship I just immediately thought the SS.Anne
@@zackhumphrey6189 To be Frank that's pretty funny
i think thats a really good idea
Aeolus is very good, actually.
Nah this is a terrible name
" Dead "
Good job scar!
Wow, well done and thank you
Bruhhh... how many lines was that, good job
I don't think I could ever type that much😂
i genuinely love the idea of the keebler tree- it’s so cool
